Part two of my #cmo research into the #SakiAirBase attack, brief thread.

As suggested by @CommandDevTeam, Iskander is possibly the closest to the "Грім-2" by #ukraine . So I am using a 9M723 Iskander-M in this turn.

The intial #ATACMS was inconclusive

@CommandDevTeam The issue that we have is that the #ATACMS simulation shows that the "impact" type, "no warning, no pictures of missles, sudden explosion", can be explained by the hypersonic, vertical impact of SRBM.
What can not be explained is the flight time (too short) and "twin impact".
@CommandDevTeam This is the data of the missle used in this Test #2, and an overview of the "overall situation".
Exactly like yesterday, Launch at Odessa by #ukraine, Target #SakiAirBase , missle used Iskander M to "simulate" the Ukrainian HRIM-2.
@CommandDevTeam As we can see here, the longer range SRBM (both HRIM and Iskander are significantly larger and longer range than ATACMS) take LONGER to reach the target, despite being faster.
This could very well be the match for @rrichcord 's analysis on flight speed observed.
@CommandDevTeam @rrichcord Another item that is seemingly modeled (maybe #cmo team can chip in) is an RV seperation and sharp acceleration in the reentry phase, at around 170km altitude.
This will be very apparent in the speed/altitude graph.
@CommandDevTeam @rrichcord The speed and trajectory of the longer range SRBM is far more extreme than the #ATACMS.
The Missle is pointing 70° down at hypersonic speeds, a mere 15km left to fly, at ~2km/s speed.
This is the speed and altitude plot. While unknown if #ukraine GRIM-2 has the terminal phase acceleration, this flight profile is plausible for observed data.
The dual launch also explains the dual impact.
#SakiAirBase
I hope that this adds some more theory crafting to the #osint community.
Thanks @Iain_Slitherine @CommandDevTeam . Maybe interesting also for @christogrozev @Osinttechnical @OSINT88 @OSINTua @UkraineOsint .

Die Suche nach dem Täter "Mannheim", ein kurzer Faden.

Im Bild hier, 8:47 im "ganzen Video", tritt er zum ersten mal (für mich erkenntlich) in Erscheinung.
Die Tat beginnt ab 12:30, also 3 Minuten 43 Sekunden später.
#mannheim #anschlag #terror Image

To celebrate, as @TBrit90 called it, "VDV deletion appreciation day", enjoy the following thread:
All VDV, all high quality, restored footage from that day, starting of with the failed assault from the russian view.

Enjoy, like, share, subscribe!
My favourite Video from the early phase of the war. RU Mi-8 and Mi-24 moving to Hostomel (above invasion force), low over Kyiv Reservoir.

DWA !!! DWAAAAAAAAAA!!!
MANPADS were a thing, @MerenzSophia take notice.
Stabilized reprocessed further footage of that VDV Assault.
The Myria Hangar can briefly be seen.

A brief thread on the Shahed 136 aka GERAN Loitering Munition "Drone" used by Russia against #ukraine.

To the surprise of many, it is a story about the hostility to Innovation by the German Miltiary ( hi BaainBw !)

Thread: Image
The root of the concept is from the 1980ies, called the DORNIER DAR (Drone, Anti Radar).
It was supposed to be a low cost mass launched loitering munitions that would home in on Russian Air Defence Emissions, and destroy them with 0 Risk to the Operator.

Here is a pic(oops!) Image
Interestingly, this concept was so innovative that, of course, it did not catch on with the GAF.
The operational concept was far ahead of the time, with road based Launch Trucks for 3 or 6 Drones at a time, to release mayhem. Image

This is confirmed in multiple locations, on the mentioned frequencies, either directly or via web-sdr.

I consider this very concerning, as this could be a strategic contingency planning of RU strategic rocket forces.

I have failed finding a similar signal on

Did anyone confirm the signal in USA yet? or is it rather confined to Europe?sigidwiki.com/wiki/Template:…

Here my takeaways for the hard lessons of the #UkraineRussianWar #ukraine (🧵):

Lesson #1: We do not yet know if the current war is the "scale" that we have to deal with, or if this war will only be seen as a precursor to a bigger, global conflict.
We should plan accordingly.
Lesson #2:
The number one gamechanger in this war are small, commercial off the shelf drones. Most Armies are not prepared AT ALL, and not supplied at all, while in reality, it should be a core capability from the platoon up.
Drones are the Binocular of the 21st century. Image
Lesson #3:
Dictatorships have no problem wasting endless lives. RU Sacrificed 200k of its poor people. Can the free world deal with NK, CN etc willing to commit going beyond 20m people?
The free world is not ready for this, but we have to be, if we are to remain free.
