On 3 March 2002, 21-year-old 5-months-pregnant Bilkis Bano was gangraped and left naked and unconscious by Hindu men of her village, the head of her 3-year old daughter smashed to the ground, & 13 other family members killed during the infamous anti-Muslim pogrom of Gujarat. 1/n

Among the assailants was the son of a medical practitioner who treated her father & lived right across the street, a man who owned a bangle shop that she frequented, another who owned a hotel in the neighbourhood where her family resided, and the husband of an elected member. 2/n

It was Hindu men she had known since her childhood who so mercilessly brutalised her.

She was clutching her 3-year-old daughter Saleha in her arms when one of the men snatched the little girl away, smashed her head to the ground, killing her instantly. 3/n

ये Bilkis Bano हैं, 2002 के गुजरात मुस्लिम नरसंहार में इनके घर के 14 लोगों की हत्या की गई थी, जिसमें इनकी 3.5 साल की बच्ची और सिर्फ 1 दिन की भतीजी भी थी। इनके साथ सामोहिक बलात्कार हुआ बिलकीस उस वक़्त 5 महीने की गर्भवती भी थीं।

जिन्हें वो चाचा और भाई कह कर बुलाया करती थी।
कोर्ट ने 11 अपराधियों को उमर कैद की सज़ा सुनाई, लेकिन वे सभी अपराधि कल जेल से रिहा हो गए हैं। इन्हें ये रिहाई 15 अगस्त यानी स्वतंत्रता दिवस के दिन दी गई है, ये सभी गोधरा जेल में बंद थे। 2/4

अजीब आज़ादी है बेरहमी से बिलकीस बनो के पूरे परिवार की हत्या और बलात्कार के आरोपियों की सज़ा मुआफ करके उन्हें आज़ाद कर दिया जाता है।
और आज़ादी के दिन ही ज़ैद पठान को मध्य प्रदेश पुलिस ने एक वीडियो शेयर करने पर NSA के तहत कार्यवाही करके गिरफ्तार कर जेल भेज दिया। 3/4

मौलाना अबुल कलाम आज़ाद स्वतंत्रता आंदोलन के शीर्ष नेताओं में से एक थे और उन्होंने एक दशक से अधिक समय जेल में बिताया। वे स्वतंत्र भारत के प्रथम शिक्षा मंत्री थे। 1/एन

2- मोहम्मद अली और शौकत अली (अली ब्रदर्स) और मां "बी अम्मा"।

अली बंधुओं ने 1921 में महात्मा गांधी के साथ एक प्रसिद्ध खिलाफत आंदोलन शुरू किया था।

अली ब्रदर्स ने उर्दू साप्ताहिक हमदर्द और साप्ताहिक कॉमरेड प्रकाशित किया।
