5 Reasons why the #web3community will embrace @MASQ_ai software, as a gateway for users to enter the #web3 experience
A thread // ๐งต
1/ #web3 as a 'buzzword' is being applied to loads of projects right now! ๐
And so many are truly lacking the fundamental differences that are critical to make web3>web2, and to survive the next digital revolution!
#web3 doesn't mean package a product or dapp that is still relies solely on centralized hosting, or build something based in crypto and slap web3 on it!
MASQ is built on a peer network which becomes more powerful & resistant with more users. There is no central point of failure!
2/ #web3 will consist of building blocks ๐๏ธ of decentralization, meaning the more users powering a piece of web3 infra, the more content delivery and network bandwidth can be leveraged.
For example, @IPFS has tens of thousands of copies of hashes distributed across peer servers!
@IPFS@MASQ_ai is moving to integrate and innovate with leading-edge tech partners, that will provide #web3 components that can scale across the existing web2 network layer, but not relying solely on 3rd party centralized data centres to operate!
@IPFS 3/
Netizens worldwide are more conscious of the value of their personal data, and how data mining, tracking & behavioural analysis is being used to the sole benefit of corporations and advertisers!
๐
@IPFS Very little, (if any!) added benefit is provided back to the users and customers (essentially an invasive 1-way street)
MASQ wants to lead the way with open source transparent tech, that has no desire or design to store user data or personal information.

@IPFS 4/
The internet we know and use today is drastically smaller in infrastructure than most realize - most users have no idea that a subset of data centres route and power a huge majority of the worlds data each day.
@IPFS While this has advantages of speed and content delivery, it limits the #freedom many users require (or desire), to interact with information on the 'global' web.
Repressive regions easily throttle, restrict or block content from their citizens through ISPs & data centres!
@IPFS#web3 can't flourish in a compartmentalized internet based on geographic location!
MASQ offers a #borderless browsing experience that gives true web3 (& legacy web2) access to all, no matter where they live in the world! ๐
@IPFS 5/
Mutual synergy is the key to success in the #web3 space and many other areas of open source development. When tech and innovation is made open for others to innovate, integrate and elevate - everyone wins! ๐
(except the poor code maintainers sleep ๐)
@IPFS At @MASQ_ai we hope that other #web3 builders follow us & contribute more to our tech and community, where we want projects to explore new and exciting ways our #dMeshVPN network can provide the Features User Want...
with the #Privacy Users Deserve.
Skiff's closure got us all surprised. But, here's our take and how we are handling it...
We empathize with the users who chose @skiffprivacy as their privacy-centric email and workspace provider.
๐งต
@skiffprivacy Skiff 's been acquired by Notion and shutting down their suite of products after a six-month sunset period.
We want to highlight that our MASQ team, including our co-founders, also utilized Skiff, & were equally surprised by this sudden development without any prior notification.
@skiffprivacy While Skiff's closure has had minimal impact on us, thanks to our use of a custom domain, we appreciate that many users without personal domains may face difficulties with migration, email account changes, and other associated complications.
There's been a huge influx of questions about MASQ and Tor (and it's derivatives)
Here 's what you need to know & why MASQ can uniquely capture a massive market in the browser privacy space
Grab your cuppa anon, it's time for a thread:
#MASQ #Tor #Privacy #Freedom #DYOR
1/ Tor is the OG of peer network privacy routing - they invented Onion Routing back in the 90s.
We graciously tip our hats to the founders, team and volunteers that fight for digital freedom - it's sparked the vision for MASQ and many projects before us, and continues to inspire!
2/ IMPORTANT - We want to foster Tor users & ensure that their use-case remains strong - this info and discussion highlights use-cases for our differing technology, so users can have choices of their privacy tools and experience unique features for their daily browsing needs
The need for a secure and anonymous network has become more critical than ever. In this thread, we'll compare two privacy networks: TOR and MASQ, to help you learn more about what we're building ๐ป๐
Speed:
MASQ is faster than Tor when transmitting packets through 3 hops due to its bandwidth requirements. ๐
This means that the packets are transmitted at a much faster speed, making the network more efficient than Tor.
MASQ is more private than Tor because of how it encrypts and spoofs packet data. By doing so, it makes it more difficult to track the information.
