For decades the working class have been told, because of the FPTP system, they need to compromise to get the Tories out, for decades they've been betrayed by so-called Liberal allies in suits, who've promised much, & delivered little. 1/21
For decades many of us have, despite our reservations, voted for the lesser evil, comforting ourselves that at least we didn't vote Tory. 2/21
But what happens when the not Tories, effectively govern just like the them? What are we supposed to do then, grit our teeth and continue to vote for them, when they will bring the same misery to our communities! 3/21
For far too long the working class have allowed ourselves to believe we're not cut out for leadership, not educated enough, refined enough to carry the burden of such heavy responsibilities. 4/21
We've been convinced to sign over that power to the men & women in suits, not only in our workplaces, but our political parties, & union movements too. These 'leaders,' with their connections in the media & their 3 word slogans; have been selling us out for decades! 5/21
They've convinced, enough of us, we're not capable of leadership; it's best to leave the ruling to their class, after all they've had centuries of practice.
They've convinced us we're a small minded/intolerant people, a docile people, who never revolt against our betters. 6/21
The truth is the opposite. I'd argue the only reason this country has functioned anywhere near normally, for the last 40 years, is because of the power & the leadership of those working class communities. 7/21
We've faced all out class-war for almost 50 years & they still haven't defeated us, many have been lost to their cruel and austere politics, but many more of us are still here. 8/21
The revolutionary spirit runs through our veins; we're the descendants of the peasants revolt, Peterloo, the Tolpuddle martyrs; the sons & daughters of the shop stewards who fought for better working conditions. 9/21
The last 50 years has seen a concerted effort by the ruling elite, to reverse the hard won efforts of the previous 2 centuries; to erase the memories of those who fought & died to give the workers/marginalised equity. 10/21
Now is the time for us to take back that power, before all is lost. We are the many, they fear us, their only control over us is by weaponising our own fears & turning us against each other, instead of them. It's been effective! 11/21
What if there was another option? What if we stopped playing by their rules, stopped focusing our ire on people who have no more agency than we do, and instead created new ones? 12/21
There are many ways we can do this. The current increase in strike action is one, but what if we went further & used the system they've abused us with for so long, to remove them from power. A truly bloodless coup. 13/21
How? #UnseatTheLot remove every single MP at the next election & replace them with independents, drawn from the people, to govern for the people. 14/21
People whose only allegiance is to the 99%; people who understand what it's like to have survived through 40 years of neo-liberal warfare; people who haven't profited from the inequity it's delivered. 15/21
People who have a far greater knowledge of what their communities need to thrive again, than someone only interested in the political gravy train. 16/21
If we plant the seed, something amazing could grow in its place. Something truly democratic, not just a fake representation of what the rich & powerful want us to believe democracy is. 17/21
No more neo-feudalism masquerading under the guise of choice, no more subsidising the rich under the guise of tradition. For too long the history of the many has been erased & the narratives of the few have been preserved, at all of our cost. 18/21
It's time to step into our true power & create a world fit for all humanity before it's too late. We don't have decades to play party politics. We probably have at most, a decade to deal with climate change & save our species. 19/21
#GeneralStrike
#UnseatTheLot
#EnoughlsEnough
Let's give people their hope back, let's channel the palpable rage into something positively transformational. A cooperative of working people throughout the land, coming together in mutual aid & understanding to create a better country. 20/21
If you have the skills/resources to help turn this from just an idea, into a movement reaching every constituency, please share the idea with your friends & family; spread the seeds so they can grow, get in touch, help us create something beautiful. 21/21

I genuinely believe that the AS crisis in Labour was weaponised by some, who saw it as an effective way to defeat an opponent, they couldn't defeat on policy. But, antisemitism does exists on the left, of course it does! 1/6
Unless you've spent your life in a vacuum & have never read any Dickens or Shakespeare, it would be very hard to have been raised in a country, that committed pogroms 800 years ago; where AS tropes, are a common part of our vernacular, to not be affected by it. 2/6
The trick is, just like with any form of racism, when someone calls you out on it, reflect & do better. 3/6

I think a lot of people believe they can't be racist, they're not like Nigel Farage or Tommy Robinson, people like them are anti-racist/fascist, have Black friends or Brown children/grandchildren, how dare you even suggest it! 1/7
However, when you're born and raised in a country built on the back of White supremacy, it seems to me only natural that we all, irrespective of colour, will be influenced by the systemic prejudice that pervades every part of our social, cultural and historical experience. 2/7
It's often the pernicious, unconscious racism, which causes the most harm, I know what to expect from the Nigel's & Tommy's of this world, when you live in a Brown skin you can sense the hate radiating off them, 3/7

A year on from the GE2019 & I still feel as if I haven't processed the grief of what was lost (this isn't helped by all the smug rw bstards who helped us lose, tweeting their BS today 😡) Far too few people understood the real risks of allowing Johnson's Conservatives to win 1/14
We live in a one party state in everything but name now, with an official opposition which has actively contributed to the UK's atrocious mishandling of the pandemic. I still swing from moments of sadness, at the way the left & Corbyn have been treated over this last 5 years 2/14
and the despair of what not winning last December 12th has meant to so many millions of people, whose hope was snatched away from them overnight! 3/14
