Yet the policy that came out of the 2018 conference simply kept a 2nd referendum on the table if they couldn't get a general election (and we all know how well that went).
So in January 2019, Keir Starmer announces that based on the Conference policy, having failed to get a general election, Labour should be campaigning for a 2nd referendum.
But in April 2019, Labours Shadow Business secretary was actively campaigning against a 2nd referendum... 7 months after Labour members demanded it, and 4 months before Labour put it in their election manifesto.
Labour's best chance of winning is an electoral pact based on voting reform, and they expelled me for saying so.
I hope the winners of the NEC elections will be less tribal...So that the mere mention of the fact that a pact might help the other parties isn't treated as betrayal.
Really?
You're asking ME that question?
I received my membership card in Jan 2020. My offending tweet was in 7 February.
So why did Labour decide to cancel my membership at 01.51am 24 March, 8 hours after the 1st lockdown was announced?
The Tories took us out of the EU, so we now have to do (by ourselves) all the things we used to do together as 28 countries sharing the load (e.g. trade negotiations, GPS systems etc).
And now they're saying we need a SMALLER civil service!
The idea that you can leave a shared administration of 28 countries, so that you can do everything by yourself, but expect to save money and resources is just madness.
