𧡠Itβs #WomensEqualityDay, marking 102 years since the 19th amendment guaranteed a woman's right to vote. Women of all creeds protested for decades to earn this right, but many women of color continued to be barred from the ballot box for years after the 19thβs ratification.
Almost two months to the day after the Supreme Court lit 49 years of precedent on fire, itβs impossible to mark #WomensEqualityDay without recognizing the dire realities of Republicansβ post-Roe world.
In red states across the country, Republican lawmakers are inflicting stricter and stricter legislation criminalizing abortion and ripping away not only womenβs bodily autonomy, but their economic independence.
For the GOP, itβs not about being βpro-lifeββ because βpro-lifeβ would mean that Republicans support health care for women and children, increased SNAP funding to feed Americaβs kids, and gun reform to keep our students safe and protect parentsβ peace of mind.
The split screen is clear as day: House Democrats are advancing legislation to defend womenβs hard-won rights. Republicans are coming after fundamental American ideals like freedom and equality.
Hereβs what we know: 100+ years after earning the right to vote and 60+ days after losing the right to choose, women are registering to vote in record numbers. Theyβre showing up in specials to stop extremist Republicans, and theyβre refusing to be dragged backward.
There is so much on the line. We are less than 75 days out, folks. Let's do this.

π§΅π»π―πΉπ¬π¨π«: The Supreme Court lit 49 years of precedent on fire, creating the nightmare reality the Republican Party has worked so damn hard for.
Let's take a look at where we are and where the GOP will drag our country, kicking & screaming, if given more of an opportunity.
At least 28 @NRCC-endorsed GOP challengers supported overturning #RoeVWade.

π§΅This is a dark day for America & for millions of women who just lost their fundamental right to control their own body and their own futures. The GOP has eroded access to reproductive freedom for decades, and this final blow drags our country, kicking and screaming, backwards.
This is what the Republican Party has worked *so* *damn* *hard* *for.* Six Supreme Court justices just lit 49 years of precedent on fire and opened the doors for the GOP to enact a nationwide abortion ban.
This decision will carry devastating and dire consequences that will result in death and in the jailing of women and doctors. The American people overwhelmingly wanted to protect #RoeVWade, but Republican extremism prevailed.
