[2] The seats on the No.7/8 recline and there’s a reasonable amount of leg room. The drop-down table on the seat-back looks reasonably clean but I would bring soft wipes. Luggage space is adequate if your bags are not too big.
[3] The toilets are clean enough. You have the choice between squat toilets and Western style. There’s a washbasin with a small bar of soap. There’s also a microwave where the attendant for our carriage is already warming up our meals six at a time.
[5] The downside of riding in an air-conditioned carriage is that it is not so easy to take photos or videos without a reflection. The best place to shoot some video is in the toilet as it has an open window. But I cannot keep running there as people are starting to talk. 🤣🤣
[6] The toilet window. The best place to take photos from on a train with only air-conditioned carriages. 😂
[7] Some views from the window of Special Express No. 7 going from Bangkok to Chiang Mai. Nakhon Sawan province is particularly beautiful. Just after the provincial station you pass the wetlands surrounding Bueng Boraphet.
Tonight I am taking Special Express No. 25 from Bangkok to Nong Khai onboard the CNR sleeper train. This THREAD is a review of Krung Thep Aphiwat Station and the sleeper train.

Krung Thep Aphiwat Central Terminal Station, or KTW for short, is the new terminal station in #Bangkok for long-distance trains on the Northern, Northeastern, and Southern lines. Trains leave the city from here on elevated tracks and cut the previous time by half.
2/15
There are many shops at KTW selling food and drinks, as well as other essentials such as toiletries, medicine, and more. There is also a food court. If you have several hours to kill you could leave your bag in a locker and catch the Blue or Red line trains to a local mall.
🚂 This is a LIVE thread of my #TrainTrip from Bangkok to Singapore via Malaysia. You will find full details here of all the trains and ticket prices. Don’t forget to also check out the YouTube channel for this trip: youtube.com/channel/UCKKNQ…
