What is Ethics?
Ethics is about quality of Human Character and Conduct, with an aim to achieve Summum Bonum by applications of reasoning, rationality, thinking and analysis in day to day behavior.

Summum Bonum- ultimate end, or goal.

In other words, Ethics is about quality of Human conduct and behavioural character on the basis of established standards, with an aim to to achieve social harmony, Prosperity, success in society.

Origin of Ethics-
It is born out-of Inquisitiveness of Socrates.
i.e. An unexamined life is not a worth living.Human should question each and every thing in his surrounding on basis of reasoning and rationality.
This art will cultivate rational thinking. hence Ethics was born

Field of Ethics is based on Human Reasoning, Rationality, Analysis of situations and matters, objects, things with an aim to accept/reject on the basis of Right/Wrong established standards!

On the basis of philosophy of ethics, it is also said that ethics is not about -
1. Finding solutions to the problem
2. Establishing standards
3. Determining the Human behaviour is Right/Wrong.

But it is about -
1. Understanding situations on the basis of critical thinking
2. Ensuring freedom for Art of Questioning.

Ethics deals with multiple assets of Human Character and Conduct. That's why Ethics is also known as 'Moral Philosophy'
