#ANANATHA is also popularly called as #PadmaNabHa the one who has a Lotus like navel or the one who has Lotus in the navel. #AnantHaPadManabHa is none other than #Vishnu the Supreme God;

Significance of #14 in #AnantaPadmanabha Vratha ++

> It is performed on the #14th Lunar day #Chaturdasi.

> This vratha is performed for 14 years before it is concluded with Udyaapana.

> Lord Vishnu is worshiped with 14 varieties of flowers, fruits and dishes.

Another significant feature in this vratha is worshiping Lord #Anantha with a #red coloured silk thread having 14 knots called #Thora.

A special sweet dish made with wheat flour and jaggery is prepared in 28 # and half of it is given to a Brahmana after Nivedana to #Anantha.++

Bhadrapada Sukla Dwadasi is reckoned as Dadhi Vamana Jayanti. Sri Vamana avatara took place on Dwadasi day in D constellation of #SRavana - Lord #Vishnu is star Deity of Sravana & presiding Deity for Dwadasi thithi.+

Apart from in #DasaAvathra we come across all the three names of VaAmana (#Thrivikrama, #Vamana and #Upendra) in #ChaturvimshatiKesavaadi #vYuHaruupas’of Lord #Vishnu with interchange in holding of Ayudhas; +

He was called #Vamana because he was dwarf in form at the beginning. While suppressing the pride & vanity of King Bali, He was called #Thrivikrama when He grew to a gigantic size & conquered the 3 worlds ( Earth, Upper worlds & Nether worlds) with just three paces of his foot.++

Aim of education isn't acquisition of info. although imp., R acquisition of technical skills though essential in modern society, but development of that bent of mind, that attitude of reason, that spirit of democracy which will make us responsible citizens (Dr. S. Radhakrishnan)

Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, apart from being President of India (1962-1967); was a teacher, educationist, philosopher and a statesman of international repute. He was first Vice President of India and 2nd President after Dr. Babu Rajendra Prasad.+

He was born in on September 5th 1888 at a place called Tiruttani (Tamilnadu) and his mother tongue was Telugu. He died in the year 1975 at the age of 87. He was honoured with several awards including Bharat Ratna.+
