1 My Delusional Past. Plus, The Skeptics

My delusion wasn't about #UFOs. Although I've been thru that, too, early on, w/some of the channeling stuff I was into.

IMO, some of the skeptics are deluding themselves now w/the psyop/LARP talk. The short version of how I was deluded.

2 In 2014, I was a HUGE @Buccaneers fan. Started going to, and shooting their games in 1990 or so. In 2014, fans and media started talking about who they would draft in 2015. It was between @Jaboowins & Marcus Mariota. Winston had several off-field issues while at @FSUFootball &

3 the most serious one was a rape allegation by Erica Kinsman that was detailed in the doc, "The Hunting Ground," about the prevalence of sexual assaults on college campuses & how universities, athletic departments, and in Winston's case, a police department, look the other way.

4 I started looking into the allegation by Kinsman, analyzing the case, & concluded that Winston got away with rape. I started tweeting about it & posting on a specific fan board that focused on the Bucs. The Bucs and FSU fans HATED it/me & one of the writers who ran that blog

5 called me mentally unstable. I wanted the team to draft Mariota and wanted nothing to do with Winston. How the hell could I root for the team if they had a (alleged) rapist at the helm? I looked at all of the tea leaves, did more analysis, and I convinced myself that the team

6 saw it exactly how I did & they weren't going 2 draft him. How could they? She lived down the road from where the Bucs played & it would be a PR nightmare. I decided to write a VERY long article (OG MegaBlog) on why I was positive they wouldn't draft him & why they would draft

7 Mariota. It included my very basic football analysis & various details that convinced me the team had realized they wanted nothing 2 do w/Winston, mostly bc of his off-field troubles. Later on, I was in contact with the chief assistant state attorney who confirmed a 2nd Winston

8 accuser who I had already been referencing online & which prompted the "mentally unstable" shot at me. I figured the team MUST know about the 2nd accuser.
I'd include state attorney's private message 2 me but I promised to keep it to myself & I'll honor that. I WILL show u what

9 I wrote to her.

I had one FSU fan threaten me on here bc I was saying all of this stuff about his precious Winston.🙄

So, I put out my ridiculously-long article (not sure I still have it) & even called into a Philly radio station to explain that I KNEW the Bucs were drafting

10 Mariota and not Winston. I was 100% sure!!! I told people I would leave Twitter if it didn't happen.

April 30th, 2015 - Draft night.

I was all excited for the announcement of Mariota & to see him walk up to the podium. I asked my ex-wife to shoot video of me reacting so I

11 could show the world how I looked when I proved everybody wrong. I was the only one who knew Mariota was the pick. Every other pundit & fan said it was Winston. Then there was me, one other fan and I think former Eagle, Ron Jaworski, saying it was Mariota. The smart trio!

12 No way they select Winston w/a 2nd accuser waiting in the wings.

Then the Bucs selected James Winston with the first overall pick in the 2015 NFL draft.

My ears started ringing as I fell back onto the couch. I was dazed. I told my ex to stop recording & I deleted the clip.

13 I was devastated. WTF? How was I so wrong? My Twitter notifications started blowing up from Bucs & FSU fans giving me the business. And I deserved it. I decided to stay on Twitter & tell everyone who would listen that the Bucs drafted someone I felt was a rapist & possibly

14 someone who got away with it two times. I wanted Mariota to be the pick so bad that I deluded myself into believing it would happen. Every comment or move made by Bucs management was interpreted by my clouded mind as the Bucs positioning themselves to select Mariota.

NOPE.

15 Extreme confirmation bias. When I started working on W/D Mega-Blog, & I read Wilson's first denial to @billeecox, I thought, "Here we go again. Am I deluding myself with this story?"

I questioned myself over & over. Day & Night. I talked to @OmniTalkRadio & @rosscoulthart

16 about it and they both helped me.

Turned out, I wasn't deluding myself, I analyzed it correctly and time will show that to be the case, 100%. Right now, most people realize Davis interviewed Wilson. But I digress!

I think what we see now with SOME skeptics is a similar

17 level of delusion with accusations of: psyop, techno-scam, "believer," LARPing, & outright lying, directed towards @LueElizondo, @mintyhyperspace, @ChrisKMellon, Eric Davis, Puthoff, @tomdelonge , Kit, @GarryPNolan, Stratton, @travisstaylor1, @g_knapp, @JeremyCorbell, etc.

18 Why r they deluded? I don't know. But I hope some of them realize it soon bc many of their claims are so over the top, I'm not sure an apology later on will suffice & make the folks (& our community) who r the target of their hate, forget how they acted over the past 4.5 years

19 BTW, I stopped rooting for the Bucs the day they drafted Winston & have never looked back. The ones who helped me the most back then with Winston's case & sexual assault, overall, were @jessicawluther & @JulieDiCaro (open about UFOs). Two great people & two published authors.

20 Side note: At one point. I had Kinman's attorneys asking (through a 3rd party) how I was getting information about the 2nd accuser. I wasn't but they thought I was. It was a crazy time in my life but it helped make me the person I am today and I don't regret any of it.

21 My messages to the Chief Assistant State Attorney, Georgia Cappleman in March and April of 2015. And then a tiny part of her message to me. She DID give me a few (basic, but important for me) details about the other accuser's case but I will not share that.

22 I believe Wilson has made between the $70-$80 million thus far in his career. I don't know what Erica Kinsman is up to nowadays. They settled her civil case & his countersuit, out of court.

1/3 Not sure how u can watch this & not feel empathy for Erica Kinsman & her family, & disgust for some sports teams & fans.

And for @Buccaneers/#bucs & @Saints/#Saints fans, this is who u rooted/root for. I'm sure you'll always defend him bc he's "your guy."

2/3 Remember, there was also the incident, while playing for Bucs, where Winston was accused of putting his hand on the crotch of a female Uber driver. He received a short suspension & settled w/driver, out of court. IMO, he's a predator

These fans are disgusting and this is not unique to FSU.

More than one victim.

Report a sexual assault against a popular athlete and get driven out of town.

SMH. So sad.

27 And yes, as with W/D and the CR story, there's a NYT article dealing with the Winston/FSU case and I had some contact with this journalist, WB, back then.
