The American CIA (Central Intelligence Agency) kept a close watch on Operation Polo and the agency feared that if the Nizam was overthrown, then Hyderabad would fall into the hands of communists.
The Red Revolt ensured the victory of the Communist Party in all seats in the Nalgonda district (Hyd state) in the 1st Lok Sabha election in 1952.
Communist leader Ravi Narayan Reddy contested from inside jail & won the largest majority in the election (even higher than Nehru).
There were 3 big revolts in India against the British and their puppet monarchies after the end of World War 2 in 1945.
i) 1946 Naval Munity.
ii) 1946 Punnapra Vayalar.
iii) 1946 Red Revolt of Hyderabad.
The Naval Mutiny rattled the British Crown while the Punnapra and Red revolt ended the Monarchies in Travancore and Hyderabad.
All 3 revolts were led by Communists.
RSS has ZERO role in Naval Mutiny, Punnapra and Hyderabad's liberation.
The Congress has always failed to tell its history. And when you don't tell history, the RW will hijack it. That's how BJP hijacked Sardar Patel, while congress kept mute.
I hope the LEFTISTS reading this thread now understand why telling history is always vital.
In 150 years, between 1795 to 1945, a total of 11 severe famines occurred in the Indian sub-continent under British colonial rule. The Late Victorian Holocausts.
And it killed an estimated 40-45 million Indians.
When the British left in 1947, the literacy rate of India was 12%.
The book 'Late Victorian Holocausts' by Mike Davis explains how the 19th and early 20th-century mass famines in China, India and Africa were not just acts of God, but created by political decisions of colonialists who did not see the starving people as humans.
Mike Davis says that Moghul India till the 1770s was mostly free of severe famines.
The average standard of food consumption per person in emperor Akbar’s empire was appreciably higher than the India in the 1950s.
Quite amusing to see some blue tick accounts praising Ramon Magsaysay and the Magsaysay award, which is funded by the Rockefeller Foundation.
In 1955, Ramon Magsaysay criticized Jawaharlal Nehru and attempted to malign his image after the Bandung Conference. Why?
1/6
Magsaysay was America's greatest ally in Asia in the fight against communism, just like Batista in Cuba.
In 1954, Magsaysay created SEATO (Southeast Asia Collective Defense Treaty) military alliance against Communism, although only Thailand & Pakistan joined the alliance.
2/6
Nehru criticised SEATO, and said he opposed bringing the Cold War to Asia in the form of an Asian NATO (= SEATO). Nehru said that SEATO will reintroduce “white” colonialism in Asia.
This criticism of Nehru angered Magsaysay and the Americans.

Onam is not a Hindu festival. Onam is not a monolithic festival. It's a Malayali Harvest festival. #Thread
Onam belongs to everyone who was born or has links to Kerala. In the eyes of Asura King Maveli (Mahabali), all Keralites are the same regardless of caste & religion.

TK Velu Pillai observes in 'Travancore State Manual (1940)', that the Onam celebration is part of the social amusement and Christians, Muslims and Hindus celebrate Onam.
William Logan in his book (Malabar Manual - 1887) mentions that Onam is about feast and harvest.
2/10
An overwhelming percentage of ‘Onapattukal’ or Onam songs were related to harvest and sung by the subaltern castes.
The 1810–1821 survey of Kerala by Ward and Conner notes that Onam was a time of rest and enjoyment for the otherwise back-broken Dalit & Ezhava communities.
This flag which Dhar has shared here was proposed by Mountbatten in 1947. And the flag was rejected by Nehru and Gandhi. Mountbatten also proposed a flag for Pakistan with Union Jack in the canton in 1947.
