Es wurde betrauert, dass es KenFM und RT so schwer gemacht wird. Menschen ohne Maske, gegen Waffenlieferungen und Sanktionen und gegen die Impfung würden diskriminiert werden...
Wir würden an Zensur leiden, nicht sie Wahrheit zur Ukraine erfahren.
Wieder wird eine völlig verdrehte Sicht der letzten 8 Jahre verbreitet, "wir brauchen Frieden und Freundschaft mit Russland", die "USA erlaubt es aber nicht".

Der Mythos um die österreichische Neutralität ist ein Verstärker für die Verbreitung von Äquidistanz zu autoritären Regimes und demokratischen Staaten. Er macht Österreich auch anfälliger für russische Desinformation.🧵
Ich beobachte seit 2014 auch intensiv wie sich antiwestliche Positionen speziell ganz rechts wie auch ganz links und teilweise auch in der Mitte in Österreich besonders gut verbreiten. "wir haben immer gut mit Russland gekonnt, es gibt immer zwei Seiten, wir müssen neutral sein".
Ein Mythos unserer Neutralität ist die daraus resultierende moralische Überlegenheit.Dabei ist genau das Gegenteil der Fall: Russland will die Ukraine vernichten, als Kultur und Staat auslöschen, begeht massive Kriegsverbrechen, trotzdem suchen Neutralitätsanhänge den "Ausgleich"

When we see Logos of CNN, the Guardian or BBC, we think about established media,
reliable information, but it is so easy to fake an image these days, we need to be careful especially about screenshots and check the websites of the alleged sources.
Recently, a big Fake-News campaign was exposed, spreading fabricated content by using the appearance of well-known media outlets like “der Spiegel”. The headline says: "A school in Bremen exploded because people were trying to save gas"

Die Herausforderung bei russischer Desinformation über die Ukraine ist, dass nur ein Teil ad hoc von der Mehrheit hier erkannt wird, z.B. glaubt kaum jemand, dass es sich nur um eine "Spezialoperation" hndelt und es keinen Krieg gibt.🧵
Andere Mythen wie das angebliche Russischverbot, der "ethnische Konflikt" oder die russische Version der Ereignisse im Donbas seit 2014 bekommen weniger Widerstand oder werden gar geglaubt und sogar verbreitet.

Dabei verhält es sich wie mit "Chemtrails", es ist nichts dran...
Die Sozialen Medien sind ein ideales Biotop für solche Falschdarstellungen, die auch deshalb hier auf sehr fruchtbaren Boden treffen, weil so wenige Menschen einen Bezug zur Ukraine haben, Ukrainer kennen oder gar das Land besucht haben.

Ukraine is a friendly and respectful neighbour towards the EU since years. Already in 2019 79% of Ukrainians had a favorable view about the EU (PEW poll). The EU advisory mission (EUAM) in Kyiv supported Ukraine in fields like judiciary, security, human rights & good governance
Not only political parties but also civil society is very active in promoting the goal to become a member of the EU. For Ukrainians, the EU is not only a symbol for security, it also stands for necessary reforms, human rights and a stable democracy
