#hamradio #SARNET amateur radio operator at an EOC in Florida SARNET saying they have 50 shelters, but not enough radio operators to staff them. SARNET has not yet been formally activated, but expected soon. #HurricaneIan
#HurricaneIan radio operator (earlier) said he had booked a hotel (farther inland) to ride out the hurricane, but they cancelled his reservation (closing because of the hurricane)... so he is going to just sleep in his truck.
#HurricaneIan #SARNET a different radio operator commenting that the ground is already saturated from rainfall, which is going to be a problem with so much more rain forecast.

Piotrowski saying if you are between Sarasota to Tampa, now is the time to make sure you understand what you are going to do if evacuations are ordered (he thinks likely very soon), if power is out for a week or two on the western coast of FL.
