@UN_HRC When is your next meeting?
Canada needs u to address the extreme poverty of Persons with disabilitys. Social programs payments are less that the market rent leaving many with no food or Homeless. Malnutrition is on the rise. Canada is NOT a leader in disability rights

@UN_HRC Canada:Wait lists 4 subsidizeded housing can b as long as 13 yrs. Foodbanks r overwhelmed.
#pwd were promised a federal disability benefit but are told it is years away from any payment. Can't eat promises or pay rent. Food and shelter shud b a human right. Winter is coming.

@UN_HRC Canada has a lot of tent citys. They get shoved off, tents torn down belongings seized & thrown out, injured, arrested. So its like refugee camps but its our country. Winter is coming Canada gets real cold here. 40% of homeless are disabled ppl. The very ppl that need good a home

@UN_HRC To move 30-40 people out of a toronto park (because they have no where else to live due to poverty) the mounted police came with horses, bicycle police, regular police in riot gear and private security people. Ppl were told there was housing available to go to but housing

@UN_HRC Advocates were saying there was no where for them to go. Here are some pics of how last summer death with some homeless , 40% of them disabled . Income in ontario for disability is set so low it does not even cover rent and govt admits that disabled are living in deep poverty.

Disabled are in desperate need. 5 Members of Provincial Parliament tried to live for 2 weeks on double the normal pwd diet. Result said rates need to be doubled meaning 100% increase because they said no one can

@UN_HRC Live that way. However they are not the political party in power so they can't change anything. I know u r busy with Ukraine and other countrys but I wud not ask if we were not desperate. They are opening Medical assistance in dying in March. 10000 people died in the last year

@UN_HRC The saving on the health system was huge we have a surplus in budget federal and provincial. 1/10 of the surplus in ontario are from terminal track 1 and disabled track 2 euthanized. I know u were concerned about Maid. But the government is literally saving health care $'s plus

@UN_HRC Dollars saved on disability payments. The newest talk is about harvesting organs & at what point r we dead enough 4 them 2 start cutting. There is estimated that there will be a glut of available organs the way Maid is increasing. 32% in the last year. AID BEFORE MAID.

@UN_HRC O and we have discriminating hospital triage policys that cud result in our deaths. Covid is still very real here and a risk to pwd because our healthcare is a mess with emergency departments having to close etc also in Ontario a new law #pwd

@UN_HRC If a person is in hospital normally they will be on waiting lists of their choices where they want to live. New law can force them into a long term care facility not of their choice up to 150 k from their home town. Or they must pay $400 a day for their hoslital bed. A bed

@UN_HRC Normally free & covered by our health plan. They can split couples between different homes if they want. We have both seniors & disabled stuck with this.I am very concerned of a increased mortality rate.That ppl will die of loneliness missing family, or choose Maid

@UN_HRC O and 2 people have walked away from the Maid group because it was rigged that the new mental illness section wud go ahead no matter what . So we have maid for all disabilities

@UN_HRC Instead of helping 3 parks of 40% disabled people Canada spent 2 million to throw them out of the parks with NOWHERE to go while they lied and said housing was available. Tents in Canada where it can go down to -51c

@UN_HRC @CQualtro can't be trusted. She told u she set up a Covid 19 Disability Advisory Group . Did she tell u when the report was done she DID NOT immensity the recommendations? Well pwd got nothing out of that group. So she sent out $600 to a very limited number of ppl missing the

@UN_HRC @CQualtro Vast majority of pwd on social benefits. In other words a group of people disproprtionally killed by covid got little or nothing in aid. We don't need research, plans, groups etc. We need money for food and housing. They did not see a cent of this money.

@UN_HRC @CQualtro Anadarko will give u a list of things they say they did for disabled but its not true if they gave money to a food bank well they r for everyone not just pwd. And anyways our foodbanks are floundering with the working poor increasing and using them. Leaving less for disabled.

@UN_HRC @CQualtro Often when govt says they did something for disabled there is not a trickle down benefit. Like they will give a grant to a organization or business but pwd really c nothing from it.

@UN_HRC @CQualtro Millions r now being wasted to do even more research to determine that pwd are poor. Income tax returns filed yearly clearly show this, so do rates of social supports or they can open a window & c tents in parks and sidewalks. There has been lots of studies done buts thats all!

@UN_HRC @CQualtro If u come do not listen to govt giving u a grand tour or not for profit agency's that have to b nice to govt for their grants. Slip away call a cab and ask the cabby to show u the poverty in the city. Where there are tents like refugee camps, shelters who can tell u how many ppl

@UN_HRC @CQualtro Die each month, talk to emergency departments at hospitals that see the malnutrition. Dont just get a pretty tour that us a " bums rush". Welcome to Canada where the disabled cannot marry or b penalized and can't afford to have children.

@UN_HRC Maid is available to disabled now and those with mental illness will b added in March 2023. They are also considering kids ( mature minors) .
With the rate of increase the next years stats wud rise from 10,000 to 13,500 pppl
Many cud b disabled just trying to escape poverty

@UN_HRC O and its really really hard to get disability benefits. then after u prove u are completely disabled the govt will push for employment. In a country where workplaces do not have to b a cessible till 2040, 18 years from now!
