[Reshare - LONG THREAD AHEAD]
This post will sum up some common questions like how to find an #expireddomain, how much to invest, and how to make sure it will give results.
How to find expired domains?
I never look at #domains keeping a niche idea in mind; instead ...(1)
I prefer to find #niches out of the domains I like for the following advantages-
a) This way, I don't have to struggle with the scarcity of domains.
b) Right off the bat, I get new niche ideas.
c) Expired domains used around its Niche give best results. (2)
What are the must-haves for a suitable domain you can bid on?
1- Decide a budget
When you bid on anything, you might end up paying more than its actual value due to lack of knowledge; the adrenaline effect will make you bid more and more, so having a red line is a must (3)
I made this mistake in my early days of buying domains in auction.
2- Check Domain in a Unique Way
i) People often check the top 200-300 RD in a domain and make an observation about it; this is the biggest mistake. (4)
I was checking wordle.net recently and was happy to offer $64k for the #domain, but i decided to do a deep analysis; my entire team was doing it already. They gave a green signal, i decided to do a final check and, in #ahrefs (5)
Checked the RD in ascending order; out of 58K RD, 45k were web 2.0s. And they were invisible to everyone because of too many high authority links.
You would say i made a mistake, as this domain now ranks. Right? (6)
Wordle is a vocabulary game, whereas this domain was around word cloud for websites; even if this site ranks for the "wordle" #keyword, 99% of the users will remain on the main website.
For $64k it was a total gamble after realizing these factors. (7)
ii)- Check #Wayback data
Sometimes domains are perfect in every way, but what if it was spammed? This is why one must go to the Wayback machine and check whether the domain is abused in any form or not. (8)
iii)- Recently dropped domains matter
If a domain is dead for a long time, they usually do not perform like a badass, i prefer domains dropped for less than 1 or 1.5 years. (9)
iv) Past ranking Matters Most
If a domain had good traffic in the past and follows the above-stated rules, it has the highest chance of ranking again.
v) What should be the lowest RD?
I prefer having 800+ live RD and at least 40% authority links.(10)
vi) Give a domain what it can take.
A 3-cylinder engine can't drive like a V8; every domain can #rank something but going for big competition might put your success with it at risk.
Give it the right Niche, and keywords it can take, and you will have easy success; (11)
3. Where to buy?
a) I use spamzilla mainly.
b) Auction domains are usually expensive but worth the money if it's under your budget.
c) Backorder is suitable for low budget and less competition.
b) .tv, .fm, .io, .md, .gg (12)
and other expensive extensions can be scrapped quickly for high authority rankable domains. (13)

I am about to complete 10 years in the SEO industry and here are my most important learning about SEO, Money and Life
1. At a starting point invest in learning and keep doing what works for you best. 2. SEO is highly volatile, don't rely upon 1 or 2 sites.
3. Keep flipping sites on a regular interval for big gains and to mitigate risk. 4. Save 50% and spend the rest on team building, Experiments and Learning. 5. Keep adding domains to your PBN regularly. (Domains bought for $400 in 2015 costs $3k+ in 2022)
6. If you are an expert in some niche; keep ruling it and keep new niches experimental until you succeed.
7. What is easy money for you today will not be tomorrow, so take maximum advantage of things which are working for you.
within a minute i realized the blunder and contacted support, they denied refunding saying "Unfortunately, it is not possible to cancel a premium domain purchase. Apparently, the domain you searched for was not available and the system provided a premium suggestion. ..2
We have received your feedback and forwarded to the corresponding team." last time when i bought a premium domain it was sent to me in 7 business days and this time they transferred it the moment i raised refund request to save the sale...3
