Katsuki didn’t know what to think when he saw Izuku standing over the rooftop, muttering a million miles a minute about something frivolous while his mismatching yellow cape blew in the wind along with his hair which was getting too long.
It hit him all at once like a train that was barreling toward him all his life. One he tried to slow down, tried to run away from, tried to dodge. But he was, always has been, and was always meant to be tied to the tracks. It was always supposed to slam into him like this.
Katsuki loved him. He loved him more than he loved himself. He should have realized it every time he looked at his naked torso full of scars, scars he got for his sake, in the mirror. He should have realized it when the muttering became comforting instead of annoying.
Katsuki definitely should have realized it when he felt like he was going to die after Uraraka finally confessed her feelings for him. And he should have seen it coming when Izuku gently let her down and he felt like he had been baptized.
He loved him more than a full 12 hours of sleep. He loved him more than he loathed rain. He loved him more than his unshakable pride could stand. But he wished he loved him enough to be selfless. Katsuki desperately wished he loved him enough to let him go.
He wished he loved him enough to let him find happiness elsewhere. To steer him in the right direction, to advise him to a life full of happiness with someone else. To be his best man at his wedding, to watch helplessly as he held someone else’s hand.
But Katsuki couldn’t. He couldn’t love him like he deserved. Instead he had in that moment an impulse. An all consuming feeling that he couldn’t stop. He tried to hold himself back. Tried to stop himself. Tried to blow that damn train up.
But he couldn’t.
“Izuku.”
“Hm?” Those bright green eyes turned to look into his with all the attention and admiration he never deserved. “Is everything okay Kacchan? Was I mumbling too much again? I’m sorry! That girl’s All Might hoodie was just so cool! Ah! Here I go again!” He laughed.
“I love you.” He confessed. Katsuki wasn’t even selfless enough to regret it. In that moment, all he wanted was him.
The look on his face was beautiful. If it wasn’t the worst fucking timing ever, he would take his phone out and snap photo after photo.
Katsuki wished there was an artist with all the right color paints standing next to him with an easel who could paint a portrait of the moment that he could hang up forever. He hoped his memory would do it justice ten years down the line. 30 years, 50 years.
Katsuki must have had a stupid expression on his face too. Something Izuku took seriously because he didn’t question the statement or overthink it. His eyes welled up, which Katsuki expected. Then the water works started. He wished he could save every beautiful tear.
“Um….” Poor guy was speechless. Katsuki wished he had self control to not grin like an idiot at this fact. God he was adorable. Katsuki wanted him. He wanted every part of him forever and ever. He wanted him despite that the fact that he didn’t deserve any second of his time.
“I love you too. I love you so much!” Izuku finally said shakily. Katsuki approached him slowly, laced their hands together and kissed his forehead. He turned so red at the contact, when he looked up to meet his eyes, it was like looking at a damn strawberry.
Katsuki wondered if he tasted like one too. He didn’t have to wonder long as Izuku smashed their lips together so roughly, it hurt his damn teeth. It was clumsy and sloppy and the best fucking feeling ever. For the record, he tasted like All Might’s special ‘I Am Clear’ mouthwash
“Kacchan. Be mine!” Izuku demanded bravely after their lips parted which pissed Katsuki off.
“I’m the one who confessed first! You be mine!”
“You may have confessed but you didn’t ask me out! So I wanted to make it clear!”
“Was I not clear enough?!”
“No!”
“Fine.” Katsuki sighed. “Here’s clarity. You’re my fucking boyfriend from now on. Got it?!”
“Got it!” Izuku nodded in agreement like he was just assigned an important mission to save the world. Katsuki couldn’t resist kissing him again. He could stay like this forever.
“Can you please just take me to prison now?!” The villain they had just captured who was bound begged.
Katsuki flipped him off and kept kissing Izuku. Maybe he could have done things differently. But it didn’t matter. Izuku was all his now and forever.
Everything was perfect.

Midoriya Izuku was over the moon to finally be at UA High School, an elite school for the gifted, after his mom moved them away overseas for a year to homeschool him at his father’s. It was all because of an incident. But that’s over! He missed home so much!
He was so nervous coming in as a new second year, especially to see a certain someone…
“Hello everyone, my name is Midori-”
“WHAT THE FUCK, DEKU!” Bakugo Katsuki, Izuku’s childhood friend and the other person involved in the “incident” screamed.
“Bakugo!” Aizawa, their home room teacher scolded. “Don’t interrupt him when he’s speaking so we can get this intro-”
“NUH UH! You don’t just get to up and disappear on me without a word or a way to reach you then show up here like it’s fucking normal!” Katsuki seethed.
“You really think this will work? He’s the number one hero.”
“Rumor has it he lost his quirk.”
“But he lives with DynaMight. They want us to break into his house.”
“But the one who paid for the hit is close with DynaMight. We won’t be outed.”
“No way. Who?”
Akane Akira, a low rate villain who is used to doing nothing more than petty theft questioned his accomplices.
“They want that to be a secret.” Santa Suki, the ring leader of their little gang put her finger to her lips. “But let’s just say, it’s the last person you’d expect.”
“I don’t know…” Sumino Yuki, the youngest of them all who was wearing a Hero Deku T-Shirt started to back up. “Do we really have to attack him?”
“Heh, kid, this is the most money we’ve ever been offered. And apparently all we have to do is scare him.” The oldest of them grunted
Izuku felt like the luckiest man alive being married to his husband Bakugo Katsuki. Their love story wasn’t easy but after they got over a few road bumps in high school, everything was magical! And they had been together ever since.
His marriage was a constant in his life and one of the brightest spots. He loved Katsuki so much and he loved watching him succeed. Everything was perfect! In their 5th year of marriage, Kacchan was offered a promotion at work that would cause them to move. Izuku didn’t mind it.
As long as they were together, he was happy. He worked a small part time job at a comic book shop anyway. As much as he loved his job, Kacchan said he didn’t have to work with his new salary. Izuku never imagined himself being a stay at home husband but he would at least try it.
