The committee scrutinising the GRR Bill in Scotland refused to meet with female survivors of male violence, confirming female survivors are the most marginalised & vulnerable group because even their government won’t acknowledge them or listen 2their lived experience.

The committee met with at least 14 different lobby groups & activists from the gender identity industry.
The SNP stated in their ‘21 manifesto they would engage with women on this issue & misled the electorate into believing they were listening to all the arguments.

The FM told women our concerns were ‘not valid’ & this was evidenced in the approach taken by the committee.
The very few women who were invited to meet with the committee were subjected to some bias committee members dismissive questioning & at times rude attitude.

Vulnerable women & their needs were ignored.
Evidence of harm self ID is causing was dismissed & the committee embraced the propaganda presented from GI lobby groups. You’d be forgiven for thinking some lobbyists sat on that committee due to their conduct & blinkered approach.

The committee has made it crystal clear they have no care for vulnerable women’s needs.
The chair of the committee failed in his duty to ensure the committee was fair & balanced.
The report presented to MSPs is deeply flawed & heavily biased in favour of the proposed reforms.

They tell us these reforms are vital to progress society despite the majority of the electorate being against self ID, & for very good reasons.
Dismantling safeguards is never a good idea yet the committee have trashed safeguarding in their recommendations to parliament.

The debate will take place this week & still female survivors go unheard, so I wrote a piece on the lived experience of 3 women I’ve worked with.
They didn’t get a voice. I urge you-please contact your MSPs & be their voice.
