SpaceBudz is the first 10K #NFT collection on the #Cardano blockchain. Minted in March of 2021, before #BAYC.

This created the metadata standard (CIP-25) on Cardano for all the other NFT projects to come.🧵

At the time, there was no way to view #NFTs in a wallet and there was no wallet that could connect to websites.

Created by SpaceBudz, the first DeFi wallet was born: #Nami. This contributed a lot to the dApp connector standard (CIP-30).

Think, "if CryptoPunks made MetaMask".

The community was energized! They were trading, auctioning, and escrowing in Discord because there was no marketplace on the chain that functioned purely via smart contracts.

Thus, the first smart contract platform on #Cardano was established: spacebudz.io 🚀

Charles Hoskinson had been talking for years about multi-signature wallets, a key aspect of decentralization.

Thus, the first multi-sig community wallet was established on Cardano, fully built into the marketplace with a proposal machine: spacebudz.io/communityWalle…

Building on #Cardano was still incredibly hard, with poor infrastructure & Haskell being a challenge. This prevented adoption.

Lucid Library was created by #SpaceBudz to make everything around tx building easy. It's one of the most downloaded developer libraries on Cardano.

SpaceBudz will soon undergo a token migration where all the art will be redesigned. A new metadata standard will be created and adopted (CIP-68).

This finally allows for dynamic #NFTs on Cardano. There will also be a 2 way bridge from V1 to V2 so history will be preserved.

Everything created by #SpaceBudz is open source in honor of decentralization and so others don't have to go through the same pain. They are a technology pillar of #Cardano. ✅
