Saturday night in Minneapolis. Once again, I witnessed several fights and assaults outside the Gay 90s and Augie’s where just the night before three people were shot.
This has been the location of multiple fights, assaults and shootings the last several months downtown.
1/7
While recording one fight, I was caught in mace deployed from police - THEN shots were fired just a few blocks down on Hennepin outside the Saloon.
Other fights broke out that I just didn’t feel safe approaching given how volatile the energy was on the streets.
2/7
The city felt out of control - having just come out the previous night that left 10 people shot within 12 hours...
I almost hadn’t felt this much disorder since the riots; the atmosphere was just incredibly chaotic as other crime broke out in Uptown and Dinkytown.
3/7
One fight would start just as one just as one would end.
Police would arrive on foot and deployed mace where they could in trying to break up the rowdy crowds off the streets.
And there were a few scares, at times people would run, believing there to be someone w/ a gun.
4/7
One incident I was close to had people initially scattering and running away, thinking there was a gun, but it turned out to just be a violent assault in the Gay 90s parking lot with the victim carried away, his hands and face bloodied (seen in video).
5/7
Racing, cars running lights, driving into oncoming traffic - sometimes blatantly in front of officers on foot trying who were trying to contain crowds on Hennepin. Lots of taunting police. Twerking in streets, blocking traffic. I also saw no arrests. The streets were wild.
6/7
Throughout the city via @CrimeWatch there were robberies at gun point, a carjacking in Uptown, and multiple repeated incidents of people hit /shot at by fireworks - injured in Dinkytown / U of M area - and one report of a shooting that had people running in the area.
7/7
Give them a follow if you don't already. #Minneapolis
In the first clip wanted to note there was a fight left of me and behind me too.
And I should have captured it, but I saw patrons of the Hotel peering through the windows, wide eyed, just staring at the crowds/fights break out. Don't think they'll be staying there again...

The parents of Andrew Tekle Sundberg are telling media that the MPD didn't allow any communication with their son.
However, video from a livestream shows Mark Sundberg speaking on the PA system to his son.
"Tekle, this is your dad again. I need you to talk to negotiators."
Police repeatedly asked Tekle to pick up his phone. It's believed MPD never successfully made contact w/ Tekle who at times during the stand off was seen opening the window, looking out during announcements
And if police could not reach him I presume his parents couldn't either.
Tekle's parents cont. to tell media, including in this video tweeted out by Ben Crump, how restrictive Minneapolis police were in allowing them to interact with their son - during an active shooter situation where Tekle had fired off multiple rounds inside w/ residents evacuated
The GoFundMe for shooter Andrew Tekle Sundberg now has over $15K - out raising his victim, a single mother who hid with her two sons in her bedroom as he shot bullets through the walls of her apartment.
Two Minneapolis police snipers shot Sundberg after a multi-hour standoff.
There have been vigils and rallies for Tekle Sundberg since he was killed by police early Thursday morning. Tonight another rally and march was held to 'commemorate' his death.
Arabella Foss-Yarbrough was cooking in her kitchen when bullets started flying through her walls, destroying her apartment. Residents were evacuated and officers had to rescue the mother and her children during the active shooter situation.
Congresswoman Ilhan Omar was booed last night by thousands of the Minneapolis Somali community last night at a Somalia Independence Day celebration concert.
“Go home! Go home!”
Lots of tweets and snapchats about booing her on stage last night from the Somali community:
Medina police showed up at my parents' home after I posted the photos of Hutchinson's wrecked squad - photos Hutch's lawyer & Co. Attorney Chad Larson tells press were "staged".
Police later told me the Hennepin Sheriff's Office asked them to look into me for posting the photos.
Hutchinson was never arrested upon discharge from the hospital and booked with his mugshot & fingerprints taken.
Joanna Meduna of the Douglas County Attorney's office stated to me over a week ago that those records would be 'in the works'...
There is also the question of body cam and squad footage. With the investigation now closed, Hutchinson himself can authorize its release by signing a waiver.
Douglas County Attorney Chad Larson also has the authority in allowing release of the footage for public transparency.

Last week, I uncovered Anton Lazzaro’s Teen Porn through various sites despite Lazzaro deleting his PornHub account.
WARNING: This thread is graphic and disturbing. It’s taken me a week to write and prepare this simply because I was too disgusted with what I have found.
2/28
Earlier this year, through my investigations into the MNGOP, I had learned from many activists that Lazzaro was producing porn in his downtown condo. I was never able to find his website or videos despite searching since February.
That is, until now.
3/28
I figured out that Lazzaro deleted his pornhub account, but it was never a channel. It was under a model’s account, “Only Tiny Teens.”
It’s unclear when or why Lazzaro deleted his pornography especially if no illegal activity took place.
There is a human resources discussion and review of the employee handbook by Ron Huttle in which he states it "hasn't been updated a lot in 23 years" and signing NDAs which is described as "standard procedure" to "protect the party".
Carnahan asks if members have questions regarding NDAs.
Paul Anderson asks: "In the past. Have committe members had to sign NDAs?"
Jennifer says "No".
Bobby Benson: What prompted the desire for those to be signed THIS time?
Jennifer provided a long winded answer stating...
... it was because there is so much more personnel and internal "sensitive information".
*It should be noted that this meeting is dragging along very slowly and convened at 9:07.
