If each chakra opening corresponds to different worldly faculties, how do sanyasis living in ashrams handle it? #Kundalini #yoga
According to Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa, the first three chakras Muladhara, Svadhishtthhana and Manipura represent the gross worldly state of existence. #Kundalini #yoga
When the mind moves about in these three chakras only, the person will be predominantly interested only in eating, drinking and sex life. #Kundalini #yoga
Whatever other worldly faculties or special accomplishments that accompany these three centres will be used for enjoying more and more pleasures of the tongue and the sex organ. #Kundalini #yoga
When the mind or kundalini reaches the Anahata chakra or the heart centre, the person or sadhaka sees divine light and exclaims, “What's this?! What's this!?” Even after the mind reaches the Anahata chakra, it can come down to the other three lower levels. #Kundalini #yoga
When the mind or kundalini reaches the Vishuddha chakra in the throat, the person or sadhaka will not be interested in listening to worldly talks. He/she will be interested only in talking about God and spiritual matters. Even the least talk of mundane matters burns the ears!
When the mind or the kundalini reaches the Ajna chakra or the centre in between the two eyebrows, the sadhaka feels as if he/she is one with God. #Kundalini #yoga
But there will be a very thin veil separating the Jiva from Īshwara. It's like seeing a flame through a crystal clear glass case. Very very close to union but a very very thin separation persists. #Kundalini #yoga
What happens when the mind or the kundalini reaches the Sahasrara chakra or the crown centre cannot be described in words…as it represents the union of the individual soul and the Supreme Soul! #Kundalini #yoga
All that has been written above is purely what Sri Ramakrishna himself has said. My expression of it is the only difference from what's there in the original biography. The matter however is same! #Kundalini #yoga
Now, about how do Sadhakas living in Ashrams handle it? Allow me to rephrase the query: the word Sanyasis has to be replaced by Sadhakas as Ashrams are strictly meant for them.
Sadhaks living in Ashrams try to perform all their activities in a spirit of worship to Divine.
Actions in themselves are not worldly or spiritual! Actions are neutral in themselves.
Attitude with which Sadhaks perform actions is what make actions worldly or spiritual. How?
A priest is worshipping the deity in the temple but if his mind is always on money, women and worldly enjoyments, and prays to the deity to grant him these, then his actions are certainly worldly. #kundalini #yoga
A sweeper, if he regards his sweeping work as noble & divine & performs it as an offering to the Divine without any thought of reward or punishment…solely for purification of mind, then certainly its not a worldly action.
It becomes spiritual in nature because of the attitude!
So if Sadhaks in Ashrams perform their all their various actions, including the most ordinary ones of eating, drinking, attending calls of nature, ablutions etc… #Kundalini #yoga
..with spiritual awareness that it's God Himself or the Divine Mother Herself who's performing all these actions, such an action purifies the mind and all bondages eventually drop off by Divine Grace! #Kundalini #yoga
Must also remember that Ashrama isn't merely a place where Sanyasis or ascetics & mendicants live.
It is also the place where Brahmacharis, householders, forest dwellers or Vanaprasthis live.
Thus they are called Brahmacharya Ashram, Grihastha Ashram & Vaanaprasth Ashram.
And spiritual seekers can belong to any of these three Ashrams too apart from belonging to the fourth or the Sanyasa Ashram.
When there is the right consciousness or spiritual awareness, even our own dwelling places can become an Ashram. #Kundalini #yoga
Where there is no right consciousness or spiritual awareness, even the Ashrams where Sanyasis or ascetics or mendicants live can become like any other worldly place!
Without accepting someone as a guru, can we gain spiritual enlightenment simply by reading scriptures or listening to lectures? #Spirituality #enlightenment
Sant Namadev, a great saint of Maharashtra, used to have a direct contact with God (Vitthala). God spoke with him face to face. But one day, he was deeply disappointed. #Spirituality #Enlightened
At the behest of Jnaneshwara, Gora Kumbhar, a potter and a senior saint of his times, tested the maturity of knowledge in a bunch of holy men including Namadev. He tapped their heads like a potter taps a baked clay pot to see if it’s fully done. #Spirituality #enlightenment
Extremely fortunate to have visited Yallamma Temple or the temple of Renuka Devi at Saundatti in Karnataka yesterday and seek her blessings. #SanatanaDharma
In tantra, she is considered to be Chinnamasta and Devi of controlling sexual urges(celibacy) and transmuting them into absolute spiritual bliss. In astrology she represents bharni nakshatra. Check out this video to know more.
I was fortunate to have visited while Ma's Yatra is on. Its also the time when women come to change their bangles. #SanatanaDharma
How can one be creative? Jiddu Krishnamurthi answers. #Spirituality
As long as the individual is attempting to be creative within the field of his conditioning, obviously he cannot be creative. #Spirituality #creativity
There is creativity only when the mind is completely understood, and then the mind does not depend on mere expression – the expression is of secondary importance. #Spirituality #creativity
Ajna Chakra:The center of command The word ajna comes from the Sanskrit root which means 'to know, to obey or to follow'. Literally, ajna means 'command' or 'the monitoring center'. #Kundalini #yoga #Tantra
In astrology ajna is center of Jupiter, which symbolizes the guru or preceptor. Amongst deities, Jupiter is represented by Brihaspati, the guru of the devas & preceptor of the gods. Therefore, this center is also known as 'the guru chakra'. #Kundalini #yoga #VedicAstrology
Ajna is the bridge which links guru with his disciples. It represents the level at which it is possible for direct mind to mind communication to take place between two people. It is in this chakra that communication with the external guru, the teacher or preceptor takes place.
“Sadhguru Sri Brahma was not a nice guy. He never called anyone by name – he only said, “Eh!” #Spirituality
"Eh” was the one name for everyone. People were terrified of him, just because of the way he was. But at the same time, they loved him immensely. That is the beauty of contradictions.
Sadhguru Sri Brahma was like fire – simply on. #Spirituality
They did not love him because he was nice to them. They loved him because they could not help it. Thousands were drawn to him. #Spirituality
Is achieving Inner peace the ultimate objective of human birth?
Finding inner peace is the most difficult thing in your life. But it is the easiest.
The answer is simple watch the flow of your mind without judgement. Let all thoughts pass. #Spirituality
Your mind is just like a river. Thoughts and thoughts and a crowd of thoughts go on passing. You simply sit by the bank, unconcerned, just a witness, and you are in for a great surprise. #Spirituality
Slowly slowly, as you become more and more centred and simply a witness, thoughts start disappearing. They can exist only with your identification. #Spirituality
