Izuku was happy. Happier than he had ever been. Ever since him and Kacchan went on a trip together between their second and third year at UA, their relationship blossomed into something special.
They weren’t quite a couple yet, but it was only a matter of time. It was like every moment together was bumbling with electricity. He walked away from every interaction out of breath, heart racing, face flushed and incredibly happy. He loved Kacchan and he was sure…
He was sure Kacchan loved him. There were several moments on their trip together where he swore they almost kissed. Every training match became so charged with flirtatious remarks that All Might insisted he wait outside until they were done.
Every time he tried to stare at Kacchan without being noticed, he caught the blonde staring at him. It was becoming quite the fun game. Izuku knew it was only a matter of time before one of them broke and asked the other out. But for now, he was having fun with how they were.
It almost became a competition. Who could rile the other up more? Who could make the other’s face turn red? Who could send the most chills down the other’s spine. Kacchan was a worthy opponent. Especially since he started being much more forward about how much he cares!
It didn’t help that Kacchan became even more handsome if that was even possible. He grew a little bit while Izuku remained the same height. A fact, the blonde made sure to take full advantage of when obnoxiously flirting with him.

“Need help reaching that, nerd?”
He would always ask to reach for things the kitchen for him but only when he was shirtless or wore tank tops or even worse, crop tops. Like he was trying to tempt Izuku with everything he had. It obvious and shameless but Izuku couldn’t lie and say it didn’t work!
Izuku never thought he would be at this point with him. This moment of mutual love, affection and admiration. He wanted to cherish every moment of it because he knew once they got together, it would be a forever thing. So they could take their time breathing in the longing gazes,
awkward pauses, the push and pull, cat and mouse, what ifs and what the hells. He loved it. He was so incredibly into him, and for once in his life, he felt confident that Kacchan was into him too.

“Deku-kun! Hello!” Uraraka snapped her fingers in front of his face.
“Huh?” Izuku looked up from his notebook. He, Ochaco, Todoroki and Kirishima were working together on a group research project.

“You didn’t pay attention to a single thing I just said, did you?” She sighed.

“I’m sorry!” Izuku blushed.
“Kacchan wrote something in my notebook when I wasn’t looking.” He explained.

“Let me see!”

“No! Wait!”

But it was too late, she already snatched it.

“Deku-kun, that’s a drawing of a dick!” She groaned.

“But it has a smiley face!” Izuku pointed out fondly.
“Oh. He only ever draws them with angry faces.” Shoto acknowledged like it was a big deal.

“I think I’m going to join Mina’s anti-boy club.” Ochaco grimaced. “Can we focus on the project, please?! You can flirt with your lover, later!”

“He’s not my lover!” Izuku protested.
“It’s only a matter of time.” Shoto sighed. “But we can’t work on the project till Kirishima gets here.”

“Where is he, anyway? Haven’t you been hanging out with him a lot recently?” She asked Izuku.

“Yeah! He said he was gonna be late! But he should be here in 5 minutes!”

Kirishima Eijiro's heart deflated once again as he listened to Katsuki tell him, Mina and Denki his grand plan for asking out Midoriya. He had called them to his room not so much for advice but to boast about his upcoming 'victory'.
"Oh my gosh, Bakugo! He's gonna combust!" Mina jumped and down. Traitor. He tried to calm himself down. It's not like she knew he loved Katsuki. It's not like anyone knew. But he just wished SOMEONE would recognize the potential they have.
Eijiro looked at Denki who looked skeptical. Maybe, just maybe he had someone on his side?

"I don't know..." Denki took a deep breath. "IF YOU ASK MIDORIYA OUT, JIROU'S GONNA BE MORE IMPATIENT THAT I DIDN'T ASK HER OUT YET! Can you wait?!"
"Fuck off! I'm tired of waiting!" Katsuki snapped, picking up the custom made t shirt he made that said 'boyfriend shirt'. The plan was to lure him to his room and blindfold him, force the shirt on him, unveil it in the mirror and then when Izuku looked cute and confused,
he would get a sharpie and write 'Kacchan's' on top of it so it would spell it out for the nerd plain and simple. He was his and no one else's.

"This Saturday, I'm gonna blow that damn nerd away!" He cackled evily.

"I can't wait! You guys are so cute!" Mina squealed.
"This Saturday?" Eijiro couldn't help but squeak out pathetically.

"There a problem with that?" Katsuki raised his brow.

"That's my birthday...remember?" Ei grumbled.

"And he'll show up wearing the t shirt to your party, what's the big deal?" Katsuki questioned.
"Nothing." Ei sighed. "I have to go, I'm gonna be late to our study group."

"Don't keep Izuku too late, we have training tonight!" Katsuki instructed.

"Yeah, 'training'" Denki wiggled his brow suggestively.

"Shut it!"

"Come on, you know you love the excuse to be close!"
Mina teased.

"I said shut it!"

Eijiro shut the door and sulked all the way to Uraraka's room. He knew it was hopeless. He knew getting to be with Katsuki was a pipe dream as long as Midoriya was around. But, it didn't mean he could give up, could it?!
He tried to calm down and remain positive. He didn't want to snap at Midoriya unfairly. They may have loved the same guy, but this past year, they had gotten extremely close. Eijiro had lost his mom in a villain attack and the person who was there for him the most was Izuku.
He had become somewhat like a brother to him. Eijiro trusted him more than anything and adored him to no end which was why he didn't want to tell him how he felt about Katsuki. Izuku was selfless after all. He would back off and that would be unfair.
But his heart ached. He had hoped by inviting Katsuki to hang out more after school, the blonde would see how good they were together. He would fall for him, and Eijiro could ask him out and that would be it! But all Katsuki wanted to talk about these days was Izuku.
He was even more obsessed with him than when he hated him their first year.

"Damn Deku tried to be cute and send a stupid note to me in a paper airplane but he hit Aizawa-sensei instad."

"I know. We all saw it."

"The damn nerd went with HALF AND HALF BOWLING AND NOT ME!"
"It was a charity competition between All Might and Endeavor. They kinda both had to go."

"I'M FUCKING WORRIED ABOUT HIM!"

"Bakugo, he's at the dentist. He'll be fine."

It became exhausting on his heart, and to make matters worse,
when Eijiro won an all expenses paid trip for two to a ski lodge and gifted it to Katsuki for his birthday, he opted to take MIDORIYA instead of him! And of course they came back more obnoxiously flirtatious than ever. The whole class was talking about it.
Ei hated to curse his friends happiness. If anyone deserved to be happy, it was Izuku. But what filled his heart with joy made his own heart fill with despair. He just wanted a chance. One date. One moment to prove that Katsuki could be happy with him.
That they would be perfect together! Eijiro took a deep breath before opening the door to Ochaco's room and gawked as he saw her and Izuku floating around her room like flying rabbits.

"GIVE IT BACK, URARAKA-SAAAAN!"
"YOU TURNED THE PAGE TO HIDE IT! IT WASN'T A DICK BUT A LOVE NOTE!" She squealed.

"What is going on?!" Kirishima blinked.

"It's not a love note! It's just an encouraging anecdote!" Izuku tried to catch her with blackwhip.
"What does it say?" Shoto questioned.

"Don't encourage her, Todoroki-kun!" Izuku snapped.

"'Nerd, remember that tree we saw at the peak of the mountain?'" Ochaco said seductively.

"STOOOOOP!" Izuku was red in the face as smoke filled the room from his smoke screen.
"NO FAIR! I CAN'T SEE!"

"Will you guys quit it?! We have to do the project, come on!" Eijiro snapped. "Let's just get this over with."

"Oh..." Izuku deactivated his quirks and plopped down on Uraraka's bed. "I'm sorry Kirishima-kun, I didn't notice you come in."
"What's got you in such a bad mood?" Ochaco questioned.

"Nothing. I just really need this good grade." Eijiro lied.

"We don't have to worry about that with Deku-kun and Todoroki-kun in our group. They'll probably do most of it." She shrugged.
"At least she's honest." Izuku sighed.

"Come on, don't you want all the juicy details Deku-kun has been holding out on us?" Ochaco floated to him dangling the notebook like an evil sorceress.

"Please stop." Izuku covered his face with his hands.
"You're saying stop but you're smiling behind your hands." Shoto pointed out.

"Am not!" Izuku giggled.

"LOOK AT YOU! YOU'RE BEYONG HAPPY ABOUT THIS!" Ochaco laughed.

"Noooo...okay, maybe a little?" Izuku buring his head in her stuffed teddy bear.
Todoroki and Uraraka laughed at him and Kirishima couldn't help the bitterness he felt in his heart. Of course Midoriya loved Katsuki's attention. Of course he was giddy like middle school girl. Eijiro would be too..if he could just get a chance.
"So, when are you gonna ask him out?" Shoto pried.

"I d-don't know." Izuku stuttered. "I'm really happy just as we are."

"Okay, but you could be REALLY happy if you know what I mean." Ochaco snickered.

"We could take our time, I think." Izuku said sweetly.
"After all, Kacchan's the only person for me. I think if we...w-when we finally get together, it will be forever!" He said determinedly and Eijiro couldn't help but feel angry. Here he was dying for a chance and Midoriya was confidently just..waiting it out?
“So we just to suffer endlessly while you flirt in front of our salads?!” Ochaco groaned.

“Is there a problem with flirting in front of salads?” Shoto questioned.

“It’s a joke, Todoroki.”

“I don’t get it.”

“Nevermind, Todoroki.”
“Kacchan and I don’t flirt.” Izuku pouted seriously before bursting into a fit of giggles.

“You can’t even deny it anymore! Look at you!” Ochaco cackled.

“What would you do if Bakugo asks you out?” Shoto questioned as Eijiro looked at Midoriya, dreading his answer.
“That would be a dream.” Izuku put his hands on his cheeks and slapped them. “That would be a really exciting dream!”

“Prepare for your dream to come true then cause he’s totally gonna do it!”

Eijiro felt his chance slipping through his fingers and he couldn’t bare it anymore.
He needed more time. He needed more time for Katsuki to realize they were meant to be. He needed Midoriya out of the picture. He was desperate and he couldn’t stop himself.

“Guys, I can’t take it!” Eijiro blurted out.

“Huh?” All three looked his way.
“I’m sorry! Bakugo told me to keep it a secret but I can’t anymore! Because I care for you Midoriya, and I don’t want you to get your hopes up…please don’t tell him I told you!” His mouth ran before he could stop it. “This has to stay between all of us!”
“What does?” Izuku blinked.

“Bakugo and I have been dating in secret since first year! He cares about you obviously and I told him he was leading you on and should tell you before you get hurt but he didn’t believe me and he wanted us to stay a secret until we graduate!”
It was a lie. A really awful one. But he never lied. He knew Izuku would believe him and the look on his face made him regret ever saying it.

“What?” Izuku said shakily.

“He just really didn’t want everyone involved in our private life. I’m sorry. But it’s the truth.”
“Please don’t tell him I said anything. Pretend you never heard it. And don’t worry about having feelings for him. I forgive you for that because obviously I love him too and would never hold it against you and I still consider you a really close friend and Katsuki obviously-”
“I’m sorry. I have to go.” Izuku burst into tears and ran out of the room before slamming the door.

“Midoriya, wait!” Eijiro called.

“YOU JERK!” Ochaco yelled.

“How am I a jerk for telling him! Should I have let him get his heart broken when Katsuki rejected him?!”
“You should have told him a long time ago!”

“I was just trying to respect my boyfriend’s wishes!” Eijiro snapped.

“You’re fine with your boyfriend being in love with Midoriya?” Shoto questioned, still lost.

“He’s not! He’s with me! He’s in love with me!”
“'Nerd, remember that tree we saw at the peak of the mountain?'” Ochaco read Katsuki’s note in Izuku’s notebook. “‘Prettiest thing I ever saw. Well. Second prettiest.’ Let’s go again sometime.” She glared at him. “You have a terrible boyfriend.”
“Give me that.” Kirishima snatched the notebook out of her hand, ripped the page out and crumbled it. “We’re going through a bit of a rough patch, okay? But we’re still together! We’re working on it! And seeing stuff like this obviously hurts but I’m on Midoriya’s side!”
“Katsuki’s just playing games with me and using him. It’s not nice. But he’s not the first person he’s done this to! I had to tell him!” Eijiro defended himself. “So please. Please keep this between us. And don’t mention it to Katsuki!”

Shoto and Ochaco looked at each other.
“Okay…but get out of my room please. I need to cook off. Poor Deku-Kun.” Ochaco sulked.

“I’ll go check on him.” Shoto ran out of the room.

Izuku was devastated and heartbroken. Not only because Kacchan loved someone else, but because he kept this huge secret from him!
His heart was aching. It was like he didn’t even know Kacchan. A relationship was a huge deal. A boyfriend. He had a whole boyfriend since first year. He thought Kacchan trusted him just as much. He thought they didn’t hide things from each other. He thought….
They would be together forever, by each other’s side. He saw a whole future with Kacchan just crumble away like that! How many lies has he told him just to keep Kirishima-kun a secret? Embarrassment crept up on him as he thought back to all their interactions lately.
Izuku had deluded himself. He really thought Kacchan loved him and trusted him and that they knew each other best. He felt awful all over. It hurt. Everything hurt as he sobbed in his room. He’d never felt this devastated before. He just wanted the pain to stop.
“Izuku!” Katsuki pounded on his door. “Hey! What’s going on?! Why’d you cancel training?! What’s wrong?!”

“GO AWAY!” Izuku cried. Hearing his voice hurt.

“Hey hey hey! What’s happening?! Let me in!”

Hearing his concern hurt.

“I SAID GO AWAY!”
“Izuku, come on.” Katsuki said softly by the door. “Whatever it is, don’t push me out. You getting nightmares again? You getting scared again? Whatever it is, share it with me! We’ve been through this. We-”

Heading ‘we’ HURT!

“AHHHHH GET AWAY FROM ME!” Izuku sobbed.
“Izu-” Katsuki was about to burst the door down when Shoto grabbed him by the shirt and punched him in the face.

“GO AWAY BAKUGO!”

Katsuki was shocked by the sheer anger in his eyes.

“What the hell is this all about?!” Katsuki rubbed his cheek in shock.
“You’ve done enough! I’ll handle it from here! GO AWAY!” Shoto’s right side lit up in flames. “Midoriya, please let me in.” He whispered to the door which opened as Izuku dragged Shoto inside like a lifeline. The door shut and Katsuki couldn’t move.

What did he do wrong?
TBC 🌲
Izuku never experienced heartbreak like this before. He was strong. He had been through a lot, him and Kacchan had been through much worse than this yet, he felt like his whole world had just collapsed. He didn’t get much sleep, he couldn’t really eat. He felt numb and broken.
Izuku didn’t leave his room much the next day. Kacchan tried to text and call and Izuku had to block his number because everything was messing with his head. It’s not like he really did anything wrong. Kacchan didn’t owe him a relationship. He didn’t owe him his secrets either.
He knew he was being unfair to him. He should at least explain to him there was nothing he did. What upset him was what he didn’t do. Which was trust him. Kirishima told him before Kacchan did! Izuku sighed as he felt an ugly jealous rage fill his body.
Kacchan loved Kirishima-kun. He probably held his hand and spoke softly to him and kissed him and touched him and…

Izuku ran to the bathroom to throw up. He wasn’t okay. He didn’t like feeling this way. He didn’t like that it effected him so much.
He broke down crying on the bathroom floor. Izuku was tried of crying and feeling sorry for himself. Kacchan had happily been seeing someone else for years. Which meant he didn’t see him the same way and never would. He had fooled himself. All their “flirting” was in his head.
Right? Kacchan wouldn’t be the type to cheat on Kirishima.

Izuku thought back to their time at the ski lodge. Did Kirishima know they shared a bed the whole time? Did he know Kacchan grabbed his hand to help him up the snowy hills and forgot to let it go?
Did he know about the notes Kacchan left him or the lingering touches or the soft gazes from afar? Was that just how Kacchan was with all his friends? Or was he being unfaithful to Kirishima? That made Izuku feel even more awful.
Kirishima must have been so hurt or jealous. Or maybe he was so confident in what they had in secret that none of it bothered him. Izuku broke down again. This sucked. He wanted to think of something else. ANYTHING ELSE.
He suddenly got a notification on his phone. He hoped it wasn’t Kacchan using another one of their friends’ phone. He already had to block Ashido and Kaminari.

Hawks 🦅
‘Care to join me for a night flight?’

Izuku perked up. This semester, he was interning with the hero.
Hawks helped him be more precise battling in the air and he was also someone who put his mind at ease. He always had a way of making his worries seem silly in the long run.

🐇
‘Be right out!’

Izuku changed into his hero costumed, opened his balcony door and took off.
Their night flight patrolling the city was done in about 5 minutes, and together they had stopped about 20 villain attacks. Deku and Hawks working together gathered a lot of media attention. They were a popular duo even though Izuku was just an intern.
“Midoriya-kun!” Hawks pointed at a late night cafe that was open. “Care for some tea and snacks?”

“I’m not that hungry, thanks.” Izuku laughed while his stomach grumbled.

“I’ll rephrase that.” The hero leaned down in his face. “Let’s get some tea and snacks!”

“Okay…”
Izuku blushed.

They sat down in the shop and Izuku listened intently while the pro hero gabbed on about an Endeavor figure that was inaccurate. They had bonded over their love for their idols. Every now and then, the pro would shoved snacks in Izuku’s mouth so he would eat.
“Midoriya, you know you’re really easy to read.” He laughed softly.

“Yeah… All Might told me I need to work on my poker face. And Ka-…and um, my friends.” Izuku grumbled.

“Ah, so that’s what’s hurting you. Trouble with Bakugo-kun?” The hero implored.
“I’d rather not talk about it.” Izuku said quietly as he put his hand on his chest. It hurt.

“Fine, we don’t have to.” Hawks smiled at him. “You’re lucky, you know. Even if it hurts, you’re able to love someone at your age. That’s how it should be.”
“I didn’t get to have friends much. I didn’t really make them until a couple of years ago. Life just flew right by me.” He giggled.

“You’re still young.” Izuku reassured him. “You still have time to love someone but I don’t recommend it.”

“You’re cute.” Hawks laughed.
“It hurts.” Izuku confessed. “A broken heart hurts a lot more than I thought it would.”

“I wish I could give you some sort of advice about that.” Hawks sighed as he bit a dango piece. “But like I said, I don’t really have the experience. I can say this, though.”
He gave Izuku a thumbs up. “You’re a great hero. A great friend and a great person. I’m amazed by you every time o see you. So whatever happened, don’t let it dim your light. Not that it’s possible. It’s too bright to be put out.” He grinned.

“Thank you.” Izuku blinked.
He thought to himself that if Hawks had two quirks, his second one was his way with words. It was like medicine. For the first time since Kirishima broke the news to him, the pain in his chest dulled.

“Can we do this again tomorrow?” Izuku questioned.
“I’d rather not work on Mondays.” Hawks laughed. “It’s my one day off.”

“I mean um…this.” Izuku blushed. “Tea and snacks.”

“Ah…” The hero seemed to contemplate if that was appropriate.

“I-I’m sorry. Forget it!” Izuku stood up.

“Hold on, hold on! Let’s do it! Yes!”
Hawks grinned. “I was just figuring out which shop to take you next! I have a lot of favorites!”

“Anywhere is fine!” Izuku smiled sheepishly.

“Text me when you get out of school tomorrow then!”

“O-okay!” Izuku stuttered. He couldn’t help but feel excited. “See you then!”
“Yeah, see you!”

Katsuki felt miserable in the morning. He hadn’t slept in two days. He was worried sick about Izuku. He saw on the news that he and Hawks took on all those villains the day before. Every picture, the nerd looked lifeless.
Katsuki didn’t know what he did. But it was obviously something. Round Face and Half and Half gave him dirty looks as he walked into the classroom. They surrounded Izuku’s desk like a fortress. He wasn’t going to let that stop him though. Whatever he did, he needed to fix it!
“Izuku…” Katsuki rushed to his desk. The nerd looked a mess. His hair was tussled, he had bags under his eyes and his cheeks were puffy. When he looked up at him, he looked pained. He hadn’t looked at him that way since Middle School.

“What do you want?” Ochaco snapped.
Katsuki ignored her and pushed forward. “Look…whatever I did…I’m sorry. I’m really fucking sorry so can you please talk to me? I-”

“Save it! At least let him focus before class! Just leave him alone! He obviously doesn’t want to-” She began to say before Deku grabbed her wrist
“It’s fine, Uraraka-San.” Izuku said shakily. He voice sounded hoarse like he had been crying. “Thank you, Kacchan. But you don’t have anything to apologize for. I’m sorry for worrying you.” He said quietly while looking down at his desk. “I’ll get over it… it’s okay.”
Katsuki could tell that it absolutely was not okay!

“I don’t want you to just get over it! I wanna make it right!” He insisted.

“Bakugo.” Kirishima grabbed him by the arm. “Stop!” He whispered as he dragged him to where he, Mina and Denki were talking.

“Let me go, damnit!”
Katsuki witnessed the look on those three’s faces go from anger to horror before Izuku’s eyes filled with water as he whipped his head toward the window and Uraraka and Todoroki whispered in his ears like little devils. Were they filling his head with poison? What was happening?!
“What is up with them?!” Mina whispered.

“What did you do?” Kaminari questioned Katsuki.

“I don’t know! I feel like I woke up in a damn horror movie where nothing makes sense!”

“He should at least tell you what’s going on.” Kirishima grumbled.
Katsuki watched as Uraraka lent him her handkerchief. And Todoroki turned back and glared at him.

“I’m gonna give them a piece of my mind.” Mina huffed.

“No! I obviously fucked up somehow! You’ll just make it worse!” Katsuki seethed.

“Everyone in your seats!”
Aizawa demanded.

The whole week went miserably like that. Izuku cancelled all their training plans, only talked to him when necessary and seemed to be hanging on by a thread. Katsuki tried to pry what was going on from people who knew him. But even Iida was confused.
No one seemed to know what was happening but Deku, Ururaka and Todoroki.

“Come on, let’s get your mind off of things.” Kirishima offered him a juice from the vending machine. “Wanna go to the arcade?”

“No, I don’t want to go to a damn arcade!” Katsuki snapped.
“When are you going to give up?” Kirishima sighed. “It seems the more you try, the more pissed off they all get. Just let him come to you, man.”

“Deku does stupid shit when he’s upset!” Katsuki lamented. “He doesn’t think straight! I can’t just sit by and let him hurt himself!”
“Deku this, Izuku that, think about yourself! Look at you! You haven’t been sleeping! When is the last time you ate? You’re always scolding Midoriya for not taking care of himself but when it comes to him, you’re just as bad! You let yourself fall apart if it means he can smile!”
“I love him, Ei!” Katsuki cried. “I love him.”

“Well maybe you shouldn’t! Maybe you’re not right for him! You both are making each other miserable!” Kirishima lamented. “If he can’t even tell you what’s wrong, how is he gonna be as a boyfriend? This will be you every week!”
“Fuck off!” Katsuki threw the juice against the wall. “Just leave me alone.”

“No! I’m not going to!” Eijiro insisted. “I’m-”

“Kacchan.” Izuku’s voice startled them both. “Kirishima-kun, um….can you please move out of the way?” They were both standing in front of the gym doors.
Todoroki was with Izuku and they were both in gym clothes.

“You’re training with him?” Katsuki questioned.

“Yes, now can you please-”

“Damnit, Izuku! I can’t take this!”

“Don’t yell at him!” Shoto snapped.
“It’s fine, Todoroki-kun…”

“No! It’s not fine! You have no reason to be upset with him standing out here like that!” Shoto said while shifting his eyes between Kirishima and Katsuki.

“I’m not upset WITH him. I… We worked too hard to go back to this, Izuku! I’m worried!”
“I’m sorry for worrying you. It’s just…I don’t know. It hurts.” Izuku sniffled. “It hurts too much to talk to you right now.”

“What hurts? How did I hurt you?” Katsuki begged him. “Let me make it up to you!”

Izuku looked down at his feet guiltily before looking up at Kirishima
who nodded his head ‘No’ and put his hand together in a pleading motion before mouthing ‘don’t tell him I told you.’

“I’m sorry. But you can’t. Please move!”

“Izuku.”

“Please!”

“Come on, man.” Kirishima grabbed his arm and pulled him out of the way of the door.
Shoto guided Izuku into the doors as he watched Kirishima drag Katsuki away who squirmed and hissed at him like a cat.

“Todoroki-kun…I’m sorry, I suddenly don’t feel up for training.” Izuku slumped to the ground. “Seeing them together like that…” He broke down again.
Shoto observed them until they got out of his sight then turned back to Izuku who was crying into his knees.

“Its okay. We can just sit here and cry if you feel like it.”

“Why would you cry?” Izuku laughed.

“Because you’re crying. That’s upsetting to me.”
“So upsetting… that I get emotional and miss things that are right in front of me.” He grumbled too quietly for Izuku to hear as he looked back toward the entrance.

“What was that?”

“I was just thinking-”

Suddenly Izuku’s phone rang.

“Oh, sorry! That’s Hawks!”
Izuku answered the phone like it was his lifeline. Hanging out with his new mentor all week had been amazing for his mental health. He really enjoyed his company and everything just hurt less when he was with him.

“Hello?”

“Midoriya-kun! Wanna go on an after school flight?”
“Y-yes! I’ll be there soon!” Izuku promised.

“Alright! Perfect!”

Izuku hung up the phone happily and apologized to Todoroki. “I’m sorry, I’ll have to postpone our crying session!”

“That’s alright. I’m just glad to see you smile!”
Izuku took off eventually and Shoto made his way to Uraraka’s room. He knocked on her door and she answered it with barely a crack open.

“Who is it?”

“You’re not undressed are you?” Shoto turned around bashfully.

“No. But..come in!” She grabbed his arm and dragged him in.
Shoto was shocked to see the whole place covered in pictures of Bakugo, Kirishima, and Midoriya. Print outs of texts, emails, and pages of Midoriya’s notebook with Bakugo’s doodles on it.

“I’ve been thinking.” Uraraka said as she sipped her coffee.

“I can see that…”
“You know I’ve been all upset all week and Mina and I have been fighting, and she told me that I was ruining Bakugo-Kun’a plan to ask Deku-kun out! So obviously she doesn’t know Bakugo and Kirishima are a thing cause they’re secret, but then THAT got me wondering…”
“Kirishima said they were on the rocks so obviously if Bakugo told Mina that he plans to ask out Deku-kun then he was also planning to BREAK UP with Kirishima, right?! But that’s so scummy! And it’s not like him! Bakugo-kun doesn’t SNEAK!”
“You think Kirishima lied.” Shoto noted.

“You don’t look surprised.”

“I was thinking the same thing. Bakugo cares too much about Midoriya to use him. I didn’t see through it because I was too upset on Midoriya’s behalf… but today, Kirishima dragged Bakugo away and-”
“He looked very uncomfortable by his touch. That’s not the way you act if you’ve been touching someone for three years.” Shoto noted. “But…why would he lie?”

“Jealousy maybe?” Ochaco rubbed her temples. “This is what’s frustrating. Kirishima-kun’s not the type to lie either.”
“But he IS the type to misunderstand! So maybe! Maybe he misunderstood and somehow thought they were together for three years even though they weren’t!” Ochaco sighed. “What a dummy.”

“So who do we break the news to first?”

“Hmm…” Suddenly her phone buzzed.
“Oh…OH MY GOD!”

30 minutes earlier

Izuku took down every villain he could on his patrol with Hawks. He was upset. He couldn’t calm his heart today. Even Hawks’s word medicine didn’t work. He couldn’t get Kacchan’s sad face out of his head.
“That’s enough for today.” Hawks put his hand on his shoulder. “I have a new favorite place for us to try.”

“No offense, but I kinda wanna go home.” Izuku grumbled.

“It’s really bad today, huh?” Hawks said sadly.

“I’m sorry.” Izuku sniffled.

“Hey. Not here. Let’s go up.”
They flew to the top a of a skyscraper and sat, overlooking the city.

Hawks tucked him into his wing since it was cold.

“I know that cape keeps you warm. But you should also consider a jacket.” He laughed. “The sky can be freezing.”
“Maybe I’ll have Hatsume make my costume a little warmer.” Izuku sniffled.

“You can cry all you want now. Less people up here.” Hawks smiled at him.

“I feel bad doing it in front of you…” Izuku protested. “You’re probably tired of my teenage problems.”
“Not really. You can say it’s like watching a UA reality show up front! I’m very entertained!” He laughed.

“Well I’m glad my pain is useful to someone!” Izuku giggled.

“Wanna tell me what’s going on now?” Hawks whispered. “I’ll keep my mouth shut, you know.”
“Um… you know Kacchan… and it’s obvious you know how I feel about him. But, it’s more than that, I’ve been incredibly close to him all my life and I thought he trusted me just as much as I’ve trusted him. I told him about One for All before anyone else! I..”
“I thought I knew him. I thought we finally had no barriers between us. But it turns out he’s been hiding something from me this whole time. He’s been dating one of my friends all this time! And I know it doesn’t seem like a big deal, but it hurts! It hurts to think about!”
“Why do you do that?” Hawks questioned him.

“Do…what?”

“Say things like your feelings aren’t a big deal. They are. I can see it all week. You’re an emotional person, Midorya.” He put his hand on his heart. “You feel things strongly. It’s what makes you you.”
“Don’t dismiss your feelings because of how I might perceive them. Honestly, if they are coming from you, I think they are important. Even the bad ones.”

Izuku felt his face flush as he stared into his eyes. They were close. Really close. Hawks was a beautiful man.
He felt a little embarrassed that his hand was on his heart. He could probably feel how fast it was beating.

“Um…why if they’re coming from me?”

“Because you have a beautiful heart Midoriya.”

Izuku felt overwhelmed heading that. Especially from him.
He was overwhelmed by a lot of things. But for that moment. For that one moment, he forgot about Kacchan as he closed the gap between their faces and kissed his mentor feverishly. A helicopter sound snapped him back to reality.

“Oh! Oh my gosh! I can’t believe I just did that!”
“Midoriya…” Hawks looked stunned as he turned slowly to the news chopper with the camera pointed right at them.

“I’m sorry!” Izuku burst into tears as he backed up.

“Wait!” Hawks tried to stop him but Izuku flew away.

This was bad. This was very bad.

Katsuki couldn’t believe what he was looking at on the tv. Mina encouraged him to get his mind off things by watching trashy celebrity news with her and they interrupted the program to show Pro Hero Hawks’s latest scandal. Getting intimate with a UA student.
“Is that Midoriya?!” Tomoyami said angrily as he walked into the living room.

“Did you guys see this?!” Jirou walked in.

“I can’t believe it!” Mineta cried.

Katsuki was still in shock.
“Come on. Let’s get away from the tv.” Eijiro offered his hand to Katsuki. “Don’t look, man. I’m sorry he chose someone else but-”

“ARE YOU KIDDING ME RIGHT NOW?!” Katsuki shoved him angrily. “HE DIDNT CHOOSE HIM! THAT DERANGED PIEGON TOOK ADVANTAGE OF HIM!”
“How do you know it’s Hawks’s fault!” Tokoyami said defensively.

“OF COURSE ITS HIS FAULT!”

The door to the entrance opened and All Might and Aizawa walked in.

“Everyone to your rooms, now!” Aizawa ordered.

“Bakugo, have you seen Young Midoriya? Has he returned?”
All Might asked gravely.

“I don’t know! Don’t you dare get him in trouble! He shouldn’t be in trouble!”

“This is a serious matter.” Aizawa noted. “If you haven’t seen him then go in your room. If I find out he’s hiding out in any of yours, you will be suspended!”
Izuku hid in the outdoor shed after he saw Aizawa and All Might walk into Heights Alliance. He sank to the floor in the small closet. He couldn’t hide from them forever, he knew. But he at least needed the night. He just wanted to cry himself to sleep in peace.
TBC 🎥
Izuku woke up surprisingly well rested.

“Huh?” He blinked as he felt his head on a soft pillow and a warm blanked enveloping him. He sat up quickly, taking in his surroundings. He was still in the shed, someone must have…

Izuku’s heart sank as he saw a note by the pillow.
He didn’t even have to read it to know who it was from.

‘You were always shit at hide and seek. Talk to me when you’re ready to stop being an idiot.
-Kacchan’

Izuku held it tightly to his chest. He definitely saw the pictures. He saw him kiss Hawks.
He probably thought that was what his strange behavior was about all week and Izuku was now worried for his new mentor’s safety. If he didn’t get suspended by the hero commission, he was definitely getting murdered by Kacchan. Izuku needed to make it right.
He needed to tell everyone it was his fault. Hawks was just being a good friend and mentor and he took advantage of his kindness, and did THAT. Izuku was mortified but he also felt extremely guilty. He hoped there was a way he could help him clear his name.
He was scared to check his phone, but he had to. As expected, he had a million missed calls. Mostly from All Might and his Mom. But almost everyone in the class also tried to get a hold of him and to Izuku’s horror, every pro hero who had his number did too. He clicked the news.
Because Izuku didn’t come back to the dorms, or his mom’s house, he was considered a missing person.

“Izuku, you dummy!” He smacked his head over and over. Of course everyone would be looking for him after something like that. Of course him not returning would cause a storm.
Now Hawks was potentially in even more trouble! He had yet to make a media statement and the Hero Commission had suspended his license until they could do a thorough investigation on what happened. However, that didn’t stop him from searching for Izuku himself.
Izuku took a deep breath and opened the texts from him.

Hawks 🦅
‘Midoriya I’m worried about you.’

Hawks 🦅
‘It’s okay, I’m not mad.’

Hawks 🦅
‘Please call me as soon as you can.’

Hawks 🦅
‘If you need somewhere safe to hide, this is the address to my apartment.’
Izuku sank back on the floor. This was a mess. An absolute disaster. He quietly floated back to his balcony to find All Might asleep on his bed. He looked ridiculous with half his body hanging off of it. He smiled softly at the sight, and had to remember to apologize later.
But, at the moment, he needed a change of clothes and a shower and he couldn’t do that with All Might there. The only place he knew he could go was Kacchan’s room but if everyone was looking for him, that’s the first place they would check. They likely had someone in there too.
Izuku looked at the address Hawks sent him and sighed. It might make things worse but he needed first and foremost to apologize to him. He turned to face the sky and took a deep breath before the sliding door behind him opened.

“Young MidoriyAAAAH!”
All Might coughed blood as a net and a basket fell on top of him from above the balcony door.

“ALL MIGHT!” Izuku helped untangle him. “Are you okay?! What’s all this? Did you try to trap me and forget?”

“I apologize…” His mentor coughed. “I’m so relieved you’re alright.”
“I’m sorry for worrying you!” Izuku sniffled. “I…it’s been a hard week.” He finished getting the net off of him and All Might guided him back into his room.

“Why don’t you tell me about it.” The older man wrapped his arms around him and squeezed him tightly as he cried.

Katsuki pressed his ear tightly to the door in front of Principal Nezu’s office, but he could barely hear anything. Izuku, Auntie Inko, All Might, Hawks, Aizawa and some commission guys were in a meeting to discuss the incident from the night before.
“Alright Lobes, it’s on you.” Katsuki whispered to Jirou.

“I could get in huge trouble for this, you know.” She scolded.

“And yet you came anyway cause you can’t mind your damn business, huh?” Katsuki teased making her blush.

“There’s nothing wrong with being curious!”
She put her ear to the door and listened.

“Alright Midoriya, please explain to us what happened.” Nezu instructed.

“They’re asking Midoriya his side of the story.” Jirou relayed to Katsuki.

“Um…I-” Izuku began to say before Hawks interrupted.
“If I may, I don’t think he fully knows what happened.” The pro hero stated.

“I think we should let him speak.” Nezu said.

“Listen, this is all on me.” Hawks put his hand to his chest.

“Hawks-” Izuku tried to stop him but the hero flared his wings out.
“It was cold out, and we were resting after our long patrol. Midoriya was cold and I tried to keep him warm with my wings. I got my prosethic feathers tuned up earlier that day, and I wasn’t fully used to the small upgrades. While trying to shield him from the wind,”
“I used too much of my strength and accidentally shoved our faces together. That’s unfortunately what the cameras captured. I apologize for this error. Midoriya-San. It’s unacceptable.” He bowed to Inko. “And I apologize to you Midoriya-kun for embarrassing you.”
“Who’s gonna believe that?!” Jiro cringed.

“What did he say?!” Katsuki seethed.

“Hawks interrupted him and said he had an error with his new wings or something and accidentally shoved Midoriya into his face.”

“What kinda bullshit is that?” Katsuki grimaced.
“Shh. They’re talking.” Jiro put her finger to his lips.

“Midoriya, is that what happened? We’re you shoved too far forward?” A commission lady questioned.

Izuku contemplated what to say. Hawks was completely taking the fall for him.
It wasn’t fair but Izuku couldn’t deny what he was saying and make him look like a liar. That would make everything worse.

“I’m sorry. I’m the one who asked him to keep me warm. I should have been better prepared. I didn’t know how it ended up like…like that but,”
“he looked just as surprised as me when it happened. It was a mistake. Hawks has been nothing but professional since we started working together. I believe him.” Izuku insisted.

“Midoriya confirmed it was true.” Jirou whispered to Katsuki.

“More like backed up his lie…”
Jirou looked upset about something she heard and Katsuki’s anxiety spiked.

“What is it?”

“He asked…Midoriya asked if they could keep working together.”

“Is he FUCKING CRAZY?!” Katsuki said a little louder than he intended.

“His mom said no.”

“Yeah, cause she has brains!”
“Aizawa also said no. But it’s not up to him. It’s up to Nezu and the commission. All Might is vouching for Hawks.”

“THAT TRAITOR. WHAT THE HELL?!” Katsuki was filled with anger.

“You need to calm down.”

“How can I?!”

“Just try, okay?! You’re making it difficult to hear.”
Jiro covered her mouth as she heard the verdict then stood. “Come on, they’re all coming out!”

“What did they say?!” Katsuki interrogated.

“I’ll tell you in the dorms! Come on!”

“No. I’ll kill him.”

“Bakugo!”

“I WILL MURDER HIM WHERE HE STANDS!”
“Murder him later! Come on!” Jirou dragged him kicking and screaming.

When they got to the dorm, everyone was waiting with baited breath as Jirou told them everything she heard.

“What’s going on so early?” Kirishima walked in yawning.
“The party’s not till tonight guys, we don’t have to-”

“Shh! Jirou’s about to tell us the verdict!”

“Verdict?” Kirishima blinked.

“Hawks and the support department are going to have a press conference about the whole thing.”
“After it, Midoriya’s internship will temporarily be on hold until everything blows over and if public favor returns to Hawks then they will be able to work together again. But if they are caught in any compromising situation again, Hawks’s license will be officially revoked.”
“And Midoriya? He’s not in trouble, is he?” Shoto questioned.

“Not at all. It was an accident. And they don’t want his future dimmed over a mistake especially on Hawks’s part.”

“I guess that’s the best outcome for everyone.” Momo sighed in relief.
“I don’t know about you guys.” Eijiro scrolled on his phone, catching up on the news. “But this doesn’t look like an accident. Midoriya clearly went in for that kiss.”

“Come on, give him a break, anyone who got that close to Hawks would go in for a kiss!” Hakagakure giggled.
Everyone started talking over each other and arguing but Katsuki didn’t say anything. He hated the aching feeling in his heart but Shitty Hair was right. Izuku definitely kissed that stupid bird all on his own. He hated the thought of them being alone together ever again.
Ponytail said it worked out for everyone, but what actually happened was the worst case scenario for him. That stupid bird got caught red handed and he was gonna get away scot free. He wondered if it was him who was poisoning Izuku against him.
“Hey. You alright?” Kirishima put his hand on his shoulder.

“Do I look alright?” Katsuki grumbled.

“Wanna hit my punching bag upstairs? Or I can get really hard for you if ya wanna get real aggressive.”

“I’m waiting for Izuku to get back.” Katsuki pouted.
“Then why don’t we wait in his room together? He likely isn’t gonna come in through the front door.” Eijiro laughed.

“Yeah…you’re probably right about that.” Katsuki sighed.

“Come on. Let’s sneak away from all this chaos.”
Katsuki reluctantly went with him. He would go himself but Izuku and Kirishima had been close lately and he wasn’t exactly talking to him so maybe having a friend there would get him to open up more about everything. They waited in his room and Katsuki noted how messy it was.
It was clear what Izuku’s state of mind was just by looking at the place. His trash can was filled with tissues, clothes everywhere, crumpled up notebook pages thrown about, figurines undusted. He was a total wreck. What did Hawks do to him?! He had an awful feeling.
“And I thought Denki was messy…” Eijiro grumbled.

“Can you shut it?” Katsuki snapped.

“I know you’re upset, Katsuki. Midoriya’s clearly going through it. But whatever he’s gonna say to us, you have to be prepared. He might actually LIKE Hawks, you know?”
“Stop acting like that’s a good thing!” Katsuki scolded. “Does this look like the room of someone who’s happy and in love? No! It looks like someone who’s miserable. The freakin’ poster is peeling!” He refixed one of Izuku’s All Might posters when the balcony door opened.
“What are you guys doing in here?!” Izuku questioned, clearly distraught.

“We were worried about you!” Kirishima explained. “We just wanted to hear you out! And help you!”

“Please leave.” Izuku said shakily. “I can’t do this right now.”

“Izuku!” Katsuki had enough.
He put his hands on his shoulders, causing him to flinch. “What the hells going on with you?” He whispered desperately. “I know that asshole did something to you. Just tell me! I’m here for you!”

“He didn’t do anything to me!” Izuku cried. “I…I’m the one who kissed him!”
“Don’t you make it your fault.” Katsuki demanded.

“But it is! It is my fault!”

“No it’s not!”

“Is it so hard to believe that maybe I was just very attracted to someone else, huh?” Izuku shoved him. “Is it so hard to believe that I can be happy too?!”
“You’re clearly not happy!” Katsuki swiped a tear off his face. “You’re a damn mess!”

“Don’t you dare call me that! Get out!”

“What’s he saying about me?! Why is he trying to pull us apart, huh?! Everything was so great and then-”
“Everything was GREAT?! Everything was on YOUR terms! You had all the eggs in the basket! You were winning just like always! And now you’re in here rubbing it in my face!”

“What are you talking about?!”

“I TRUSTED YOU WITH EVERYTHING!”

“IZUKU, WHAT DID I DO?!”
“YOU KEPT-”

“Midoriya!” Kirishima wrapped his arms around his and shoved his face in shoulder. “It’s okay! It’s alright! You need to get some rest! I’m sorry for bringing his here! We’ll leave you be until the party tonight, okay?”

“Stay out of this!” Katsuki snapped.
“I’m sorry…it’s your birthday…” Izuku sniffled. “I forgot…”

“No, it’s not your fault.” Eijiro rubbed his back. “Katsuki, I got it from here….I promise. Just, wait outside okay”

“I just wanna be alone…” Izuku hiccuped. “Can you both please leave me alone?”
“Fine. Let’s go Shitty Hair.” Katsuki grabbed his wrist and yanked him away from Izuku then he shoved him out the door and slammed it before locking it. “I just wanna say one thing.”

“You’ve said enough…” Izuku grumbled. “Please just-”

“I love you.”
“Huh?” Izuku looked shocked and confused.

“I know you’re mad at me! I know you’re into peacocks now apparently, but I’m in love with you! And no matter what, I-”

“Did you shove him out of here to tell me this?! On his birthday?!”
“Why does it matter?!” Katsuki snapped. “The only thing that matters is how I feel about you!”

“How can you be so heartless?!”

“Heartless?!”

“GET OUT!” Izuku sobbed. “I DONT WANT YOU! GO!”

“Izuku!”

“I SAID GO!”
Katsuki couldn’t help but cry, he was so frustrated.

“Izuku…I don’t get what I did to make you hate me… but whatever, I guess I never deserved your love anyway. See you at the stupid party.” He turned around and reached for the door.

“Wait!”
Katsuki turned around slowly and finally Izuku looked at him with the eyes he always looked at him with. The ones that saw the best in him. The ones that cared more than anyone has ever cared about him.

“I’m sorry. I lied. I love you too. Which is why this sucks so much.”
“Why what sucks?” Katsuki blinked.

“That we can’t be together. It’s not right.”

“How can it not be right?” Katsuki walked up to him and grabbed his hands. “What’s gotten into you?”

“I wanted this more than anything.” Izuku whispered while looking up at him.
“You don’t have to want it, Izuku. Just take it. I’m right here.”

“No you’re not. You’re not right here. You’re halfway out that door. A part of you that I don’t know. A part of you you didn’t want me to know about and STILL haven’t come clean about. I wanted you, but I can’t.”
“You’re confusing the shit out of me.”

“I’m sorry, Kacchan. I can’t be with you. But thank you for loving me.”

“Izuku!”

“Please leave.”

“Izuku!”

“Kacchan. You won’t change my mind.”
“I WILL, damnit! Maybe not now! But I’m not giving up!” Katsuki insisted.

“Now you’re the one whose confusing the shit out of me.” Izuku laughed to himself. “I’ll see you at the party.”

“I’m gonna sweep you off your feet at that damn party.”

“Please don’t!”
“You’ll just have to wait and see, won’t you?” Katsuki grinned evily before finally leaving.

Izuku plopped on his bed as his heart and mind raced. It didn’t make sense. Their entire conversation made no sense. He felt like he was missing something.
He went to the bathroom to wash his face and when the door shut behind him, Ochaco and Shoto tumbled out of his closet.

“Come on! Out through the balcony!” She whispered. “We’ll reconvene in my room!”

When they got back, they took a moment to process what they saw.
“I take back my earlier conclusion.” Ochaco said after taking a deep breath. “Kirishima-kun definitely lied!”

“So? Let’s go confirm it with Bakugo! And tell Midoriya!” Shoto stood up.

“Wait!”

“What?”

“Let’s wait till the party. Kirishima-kun deserves the BEST present.”
TBC 🎁
Kirishima was desperate. Katsuki walked out of Izuku’s dorm room with a strange confidence. His eyes were red and his cheeks were puffy but he was grinning that signature grin when victory was in his grasp.

“Everything…alright in there?”

“No.”

“Oh.”

“But it will be.”
Katsuki put his hand on his shoulder and whispered in his ear, sending chills down his spine.

“Happy Birthday Ei. Looking forward to your party.” Then he sauntered back to his room.

Eijiro began to panic. Did Izuku tell him? No, if he told him, Katsuki would have been pissed.
He surely would have busted through his unbreakable the second he got out of the room. Did Izuku betray him? Throw their friendship out the window so Katsuki could “cheat”? That wouldn’t make sense either! But there was something that made Katsuki look forward to his party…
Eijiro took a deep breath and went outside for a walk. He needed air so he could think. He was walking along the path when he noticed Aizawa and Hawks discussing something heavily. Izuku kissing Hawks was something Ei never expected to happen. A gift.
He snuck behind a tree and listened to what they were saying.

“So that’s what really happened… Midoriya was just confused and I really was just trying to help him. I forgot about how bad teenage hormones could be, you know?” The pro hero laughter nervously.
“That being said, do you really think it’s such a good idea to continue his internship with you?” Aizawa scolded. “It’s irrational. The lines are obviously already blurred.”

“I think he was just dealing with a broken heart. I’m not very experienced in matters of love,”
“But from what I’ve heard, it’s the least rational thing in the world.”

“What Midoriya told you doesn’t make sense.” Aizawa scoffed.

“Hm?”

“I may have lost an eye but I’m not blind. The chances of Bakugo having a secret boyfriend are slim to none.”
“He’s been obsessing over Midoriya since I’ve met him. Whether negative or positive, he doesn’t have room in his brain for anyone else.” Aizawa leered at the pro. “So tell me again the REAL story.”

“I’m swear! That’s what Midoriya told me!” Hawks yelped.
Aizawa stared into his eyes for a long moment, then he sighed. “I believe you for now. But if I find out it’s more than that, I will hunt you down and ensure you never get to kiss anyone again! You understand?”

“Y-yes sir!” Hawks saluted.

“But if you are telling the truth…”
“Then thank you for protecting him in there. And I do apologize that he put your career in jeopardy.” Aizawa scratched his head. “However, broken heart or not. I am still his teacher and I do need to reprimand him as I see fit.”

“Don’t be too hard on him, please.” Hawks pleaded.
“Goodbye Hawks. Thanks for speaking with me.” Aizawa waved him off and walked away.

Eijiro was upset that even his teacher couldn’t believe that Bakugo had the potential to love him. He needed to do something.

“Hawks! Hey! Hawks!” He ran over to the pro.
“Oh! Hey! Red Riot, right?” Hawks smiled nervously.

“Yeah! Sorry to catch you on a day like this. I know the timing is off with everything, but today’s my birthday!” Eijiro blushed and acted shy. “And I’m a big fan and was wondering… could you come to my party tonight?!”
“Um…I’m sorry!” Hawks covered his face with his wing. “I really don’t think it’s the best idea for me to be around you kids right now! As much as I’d love to man an appearance, given everything that happened-”

“You could come in disguise! No one will know!”
Eijiro insisted. “And as far as everything that happened with Midoriya, none of us hold that against you. In fact, we think it’s great!”

“Huh?” Hawks blinked.

“Yeah I mean, I’m sure he’s been crushing on you for awhile and it’s cute! Your age difference isn’t THAT bad-”
“Hey hey hey. I think you have the wrong impression!” Hawks put his hands up. “Midoriya may be a colleague of mine and someone who I consider a friend, but he is still in high school. What happened was an accident! I have no romantic interest in him!”
“Well Midoriya’s my really close friend and I can tell you he has romantic interest in you!”

“Red Riot…” Hawks looked at him pitifully. “What’s your name?”

“Kirishima Eijiro! Why?”

“Kirishima-kun… you’re not acting very heroic right now.”
“Huh?” Eijiro flinched.

“Fatgum and everyone told me you had promise. Midoriya-kun sang your high praises. I don’t know what happened between you two, but regardless of how you feel about him, pushing him into the arms of an adult who is supposed to care for him”
“is an act of villainy. Be more thoughtful with your lies next time. I hope you enjoy your birthday. And I a hope you apologize to him. Ciao.” Hawks made the peace sign then took off into the sky.

Kirishima sulked as he realized what he just tried to do.
He thought of Izuku’s misery throughout the week. He thought of all the ways he hurt him and his failed attempts at hurting him further.

“Kirishima-kun! This is for you!” He remembered Izuku bringing him a scrap book one day.

“What’s this?”

“You loved your mom a lot, right?”
“I wouldn’t know what to do if I lost mine. But, she told me something when she lost Grandma. She said no one wanted to bring her up around her because they were afraid she would cry. My mom’s emotional like me. But she didn’t like that. She WANTED talk about her.”
“She wanted to keep her alive. She found it comforting telling me stories but I was really young then so I didn’t have many stories of my own to tell her back. But she said making a scrap book of all the memories made her feel a lot better! It let her re-live the best times!”
Izuku handed the book to him. “I can listen to you talk about your mom all day if you want. But, I didn’t know her so… if you wanna re-live some things, I recommend starting with this!”

Kirishima still looked at the scrap book whenever he had a bad day.
“What was I thinking?” Eijiro hit his head. How could he do this to someone who was only ever kind to him?

“Kirishima-kun?”

Oh right. It was THAT conversation.

“What’s up?”

“Do you…”

“Do I what?”

“Nevermind.” Izuku filled with his pen nervously.
“Obviously something’s on your mind! Tell me?” Eijiro laughed.

“Do you like Kacchan?” Izuku asked worriedly, but also almost angrily?

“Where’s this coming from?”

“I like him.” Izuku had confessed. “I like a lot. And… and sometimes I see the way you look at him and…”
“Would it be so bad if I did?” Eijiro challenged him. “Would you not want to be friends if I did?”

“O-of course I would still want to be your friend but I can’t help how I feel and I just…really hope you don’t?” Izuku squeaked out. “Does that make me a bad person?”
“No. It just makes you human.” Kirishima sighed.

“So? Do you?” Izuku grumbled.

“Let’s talk about something else.” Eijiro ruffled his hair. “You worry about too many things. That test is tomorrow anyway!”

“Right…sorry! I’m supposed to be helping you study!”
It made him angry. The way Midoriya acted like Katsuki was already his. The way he basically told him to back off. But still, he should have brought it up to him like a man. Now he made a mess. He needed to tell him the truth and hope he doesn’t tell Katsuki about his lie!
He decided then and there, he would tell him after the party. And then he would formally challenge him to Katsuki’s heart! The right way!

But first, he had a birthday to celebrate. And he was glad he could do so with a clear conscience. He would make it right afterwards!

(I want to finish this on my day off so I’m not rushing against my sleep schedule. Final update tomorrow. Thanks for reading. 💕)
“I love you”

“No…” Izuku tossed and turned as Kacchan’s confession invaded his dreams over and over. He just wanted to get some sleep before the party. He wanted to forget everything and go in and be fully supportive of his friend whose birthday it was!
Yet here he was dreaming over and over of his boyfriend confessing his love to him.

In one dream, Izuku had climbed a tall mountain and Kacchan was there at the top. In another, he was surfing with All Might and the dolphin was Kacchan in disguise!
In another, Kacchan was a wolf and he was Red Riding hood. And in one, Izuku was on a date with Uraraka but it was actually Kacchan in a wig! All of them, he confessed his love just like he had in his room a few hours prior. And in every one, he felt so incredibly happy…
But he wasn’t supposed to feel happy! Kacchan was Kirishima-kun’s boyfriend! This last one, Izuku dreamt he was back at the ski loft with Kacchan, in the warm cozy bed under the covers.

Except this one wasn’t so much a dream as a memory… they had just spent all night talking.
“I’m sleepy…but I don’t wanna sleep.” Izuku had yawned. He had expected Kacchan to scold him about his sleep schedule, but he didn’t. Instead, he just stared at him with those beautiful red eyes. They were close, faces inches apart.

“I know what you mean..” He had mumbled.
“R-really?” Izuku blinked.

“Yeah… hearing you yap isn’t as irritating as it used to be.” Katsuki teased him.

“I’ll take that as a compliment.” Izuku giggled.

“Hearing you laugh isn’t as irritating either….”

Izuku didn’t know what to say to that.

“Or looking at your face”
Izuku blushed and buried said face under the covers.

“Nuh. Uh. Don’t hide it!” Katsuki pulled the covers down.

“K-Kacchan!” Izuku was red and Katsuki laughed at him before caressing his cheek gently.

“I’ve always liked your freckles, though…”
“Liar..” Izuku grumbled as he pinched them.

“I don’t lie!”

“Remember when you made me believe I was abducted by aliens as a baby and the dots on my face were the places they dissected me?”

“I was a little shit then! Doesn’t mean I didn’t like them.” Katsuki rolled his eyes.
“Mom almost made me stop playing with you after that because I was convinced an alien stole my real quirk.” Izuku laughed.

“Well…I’m glad she didn’t.” Katsuki said bluntly.

“Why are you being like this?” Izuku but his lip.

“Like what?”

“Sweet.”
“Wanna know why?” Katsuki grinned wide and put their lips so close together, if any of them pursed them just a little bit, they would be kissing.

“W-why?” Izuku stuttered.

“Because I love you.”

“NO!” Izuku jolted awake before throwing his pillow across the room.
That’s not what he said after! What he really said was cause he was tired before flipping over, saying Goodnight and falling asleep! But his stupid dream just HAD to mix the memories!

“Deku-kun! Are you okay?!” Uraraka knocked on his door.

“U-Uraraka-San?”
“Is there a villain in there?!“ Shoto pounded on the door.

“N-no! I’m fine!” Izuku rushed to open the door and they peeked in his room before grimacing. “A-as fine as I can be anyway. You guys look great. I didn’t sleep through the party, did I?!”
“No! It’s not for another hour! But we’re here to help you get ready!” Ochaco grinned mischievously.

“Oh, I can get dressed by my-”

“Deku, Deku, Deku…” Ochaco shook her head. “You need to get out of your funk! You’ve been moping around all week about Bakugo-kun!”
“I know…but,”

“But NOTHING! You’re hurt right? How DARE he lead you on! How DARE he keep Kirishima-kun a secret from you!” She crossed her arms.

“Yes. How dare he.” Shoto said stoically in support.

“Yeah… I guess you can say I’m upset.” Izuku grumbled.
“You know the best revenge is?” Ochaco smirked. “Showing him what he can’t have.” She picked up an outfit.

“We went shopping today for you.” Shoto informed him.

“Y-you didn’t have to do that!” Izuku protested.

“You need to get your bounce back! And this is the perfect chance”
“This isn’t for him.” Shoto put his hands on Izuku’s shoulders. “It’s for you.”

After some time getting him dressed, and putting light makeup with some heavy eyeliner, Izuku was shocked to see himself in the mirror. He didn’t realize he could look like that.
He was wearing a cropped red top with a gold chain necklace, a black sleeveless vest and tight black leather pants.

“You sure the leather isn’t too much?” He blushed.

“Not at all!” ImageImageImage
“Plus, since we’re your date. The red stands out and it goes with your shoes.” She giggled. Ochaco was wearing an all black dress suitable for getting to the bottom of things and shimmery tights to add a tiny bit of sparkle. Shoto was less subtle than her. ImageImage
He was in full detective mode with a long black coat, fedora and sunglasses.

“Ready to go?” Shoto held his arm out.

“Yeah! Let’s go! Oh wait! Let me get the present!” Izuku ran to his closet and pulled out a tiny gift bag.

“What’d you get him?” Ochaco questioned tensely. ImageImageImage
“It’s a locket. I hope he won’t mind but, he treasured this picture of his mom holding him when he was a kid and scared of his own quirk. I sent it to myself from his phone when he wasn’t looking and put it in there.” Izuku explained.

“Wow.” Shoto sighed. “You’re a good friend.”
“Too good a friend if you ask me.” Ochaco said distastefully.

“I’m not mad at him for dating Kacchan!” Izuku defended Eijiro. “I-in fact I feel bad because…Because Kacchan told me he loves me…”

“WHAT?!” They both whipped their heads to him.

“I-I know it’s bad but…”
“I told him I love him too but you know…we can’t be together. I thought at any point he would confess that he was with Kirishima-kun. In that moment, I was even willing to forgive him if he promised to end things with him first but he never told me!”
“I thought you weren’t talking?” Shoto questioned.

“We weren’t but… after my meeting with the principal and everyone, he and Kirishima-kun waited for me in my room.”

“Together?” Shoto asked angrily.

“I know…”

“Wonder whose idea that was?” Ochaco grimaced.
“What do you mean by that?” Izuku questioned.

“I mean this party is going to be so much fun!” Ochaco grabbed his arm and dragged him out of the room. “Come on Todoroki-kun!”

“Coming.”

Kirishima was having a great time at his party at a local arcade.
And how could he not when Katsuki came with him dressed like THAT?! He was wearing a black shimmery sleeveless vest, black track pants, a bunch of necklaces and….and nothing else. He tried to focus on his guests but he couldn’t. He had the best present right next to him. ImageImage
Of course, Midoriya hadn’t arrived yet but he hoped he could keep Katsuki distracted when he did show up.

“Bet I could beat you at ping pong, huh?”

“As if you could beat me at anything.” Katsuki rolled his eyes.

“Well, let’s see! I think I’ll be able to today!”
The two had played a few rounds and of course Katsuki won all of em.

“Come on, Katsuki! It’s his birthday! Let him win something!” Mina scolded.

“It’s not a victory if I LET him win! If he wants to feel good about himself, he has to pry a win from my bleeding hand!”
“So intense!” Kaminari yelped.

“Come on Ei, you can do it!” Sero cheered.

“I know I can! This one, I’m taking all on my own!” Kirishima whacked the ball as hard as he could and Katsuki prepared to swing when the entrance to the arcade open and Izuku walked in.
The ball flew right passed him as Katsuki gaped at how he was dressed. What the fuck. Uraraka and Todoroki were by his side and Izuku gripped Half and Halfs arm tighter making Katsuki shake with rage. He could not come here looking like THAT with the wrong guy by his side!
“He’s staring.” Izuku whispered to Uraraka worriedly.

“Good.” She smiled.

“I don’t want him to be so obvious in front of Kirishima-kun! This was a bad idea!”

“Don’t worry Midoriya.” Shoto pat his head. “We’ll be by your side the whole time.”

“A force field of support.”
Ochaco assured him. Katsuki dropped his paddled and marched straight for them. Izuku tried not the let his jaw drop as he looked sinful.

“Really Kacchan? So shameless.” He whispered.

“Oh he does NOT care.” Ochaco giggled.

“Yo. Nerd. Late as always, huh?”
Katsuki walked closed enough till he towered over him and to Izuku’s horror, his ‘force field’ dissipated.

“Ooo! Pizza!” Ochaco ran to the food.

“Oh, yes. Pizza.” Shoto followed her.

“You guys!” Izuku gawked.

“Hungry dweeb?” Katsuki asked before leaning down. “Or thirsty.”
“N-n-n-neither! I don’t need food or sex, I mean water!”

Katsuki snorted before putting his arm around him and dragging him to the ping pong table.

“Kacchan! What are you doing?! In front of him?!” Izuku whispered frantically as he saw Eijiro’s face.

“In front of who?”
“K-k-Kirishima-kun!”

“He doesn’t care.” Katsuki rolled his eyes. “Hey Shitty Hair! How about an opponent you might have a chance against?” He handed the paddle to Izuku.

“Hey Midoriya.” Eijiro grinned tensely.”

Izuku swooped out of Katsuki’s arm and grabbed the paddle fiercely
“Kirishima-kun! Happy birthday!” Izuku said a little too excitedly.

“Thanks, man.”

“I wanna apologize for this morning! I kicked you out and-”

“Hey, don’t sweat it! You had a rough time! I’m the one who should apologize!”
Eijiro also said over excitedly. “I should apologize for a lot of things! But for now! Let’s have fun!”

“Y-yes! Let’s have lots of fun!” Izuku and Ei whacked the ball back and forth saying all the things they appreciate about each other until they were both a puddle of tears.
“Midoriya! Your eyeliner!” Mina helped him fix it and whispered to him. “What’s got you looking like a hottie today, huh? Trying to impress someone you’ve been giving the cold shoulder all week? If there’s anyone you should apologize to, it’s him.”
“Ashido-San…if you’re referring to Kacchan, it’s complicated.”

“No it’s not.” Mina pouted. “He loves you. You broke his heart and won’t even tell him why.”

“There’s a lot you don’t know.”

“And THAT’S fair.”
“It’s fair for me not to know because I’m not involved. But if you’re upset with Katsuki, he deserves to know why! He puts his neck and…” She shifted her eyes to his bare torso “chest out for you all the time. You can never talk to him again but at least tell him!”
Izuku looked at her then at Kacchan.

“I wish I could, but I can’t…” He then looked at Kirishima. “Besides, I don’t want to focus on him tonight. It’s Kirishima-kun’s birthday! I want to make it a happy one!”

“Fine.” Mina sighed. “I’ll drop it for tonight.”
“All done!” She put a fake smile on and brought him back to the table.

“I’m gonna run to the bathroom! I’ll be back guys!” Eijiro rushed away and as soon as he was out of sight, Katsuki dragged Izuku away.

“Where are you taking me?”

“Photo booth.”

“Kacchan!”
“What?! You never look this! We need to capture this moment on camera!”

“I don’t look that different, do I?” Izuku blinked as Katsuki shoved him in the booth and climbed in with him.

“You look kinda ridiculous.” Katsuki smirked.

“Oh…”

“It’s cute.”
Izuku blushed at the compliment as Katsuki leaned in close.

“Kacchan, we can’t.”

“Why not? I love you, you love me, Barney shit.”

“Barney?” Izuku giggled.

“Remember when you used to be scared of him.”

“That’s because you chased me around the figure you had of him, roaring.”
“You had plenty of reasons to be scared back then, but what are you afraid of now?” Katsuki questioned as he brushed their lips together making Izuku gasp.

“I…I’m so confused.”

“About what?” Katsuki ran his fingers through his his hair.

“I don’t know…my head hurts…”
“Then let me make this less confusing.” Katsuki was about the smash their lips together when there was a loud bang on the the photo booth. “Damnit!”

“Our turn!” Ochaco sang. “Deku-kun! You can stay in there!”

“Uraraka-San.” Izuku sighed in relief.
Katsuki was annoyed as the idiot brigade took Izuku away from him. They also snatched the damn pictures! Or the machine didn’t work. Katsuki stomped over to get a soda when Kirishima approached him.

“Hey, Katsuki. Having fun?” He smiled sheepishly.
“No.” Katsuki guzzled his soda. “Stupid idiots cock blocked me. I was this close to kissing the nerd or getting him to tell me what’s wrong or both!”

Eijiro filled with his hands and sighed deeply. “You know he’s not gonna stay mad at you forever. Whatever happened…”
“I’m sure he’ll be over it as early as tomorrow. But tonight? Tonight I want to spend it with my best friend! So can you just…can you just forget about him tonight?”

Katsuki looked at Eijiro guiltily and sulked.

“I can’t. But I can leave him alone for a little bit.”
They played some arcade games and had some fun with all their friends when suddenly all the lights cut off.

“Huh?”

“Testing! Testing, is this on?” Ochaco grabbed a microphone Momo had made her as Aoyama shined a light her way.

“What’s this about?” Eijiro blinked.
“I’d first like to start by wishing a very special birthday to Kirishima-kun!” Ochaco announced as everyone clapped.

Eijiro blushed at all the attention as the spotlight flipped his way.

“We don’t get a lot of time to do things like this! So I thought we would play a fun game!”
“Ever hear of 7 minutes in heaven?” She leered.

All the guests hooted and hollered in excitement.

“We’re gonna play MY version. A version I like to call 7 minutes in HELL!” She grinned evily.

“Oooooo.”

“Basically, we’ll go 4 at a time into ‘hell’”
She gestured for the spotlight to move to a utility closet that Todoroki presented.

“And everyone who is in that closet has 7 minutes to answer all the juicy questions that are taped to the door. The four will be randomly selected, starting with…the birthday boy!”
Eijiro shrugged before walking in.

“And next is….Bakugo-kun!” She pulled a card out of a hat.

“Go Kacchan!” Denki cheered.

“Deku-kun!”

“Oooo….” Everyone whispered.

“And Me!” She giggled. “I’ll be back!”

Everyone walked into the closet awkwardly while Shoto guided them
“That everyone?” Shoto questioned.

“Yup.” Ochaco nodded as Shoto walked in an slammed the door shut behind him before locking it.

“I thought you said 4!” Katsuki seethed.

“I’m not playing. I’m recording.” Shoto pulled out a camera.
“Y-you never said this was being recorded!” Izuku said nervously.

“Welcome to hell.” Ochaco giggled evily. “This is being PROJECTED.”

“Who’s gonna answer honestly knowing that?!” Katsuki snapped.

“You will. Because you love to win. See that?” She pointed to a device.
“I had Hatsume make it for me. It lights green when you’re telling the truth and red when you’re lying.”

“How does it know?!” Izuku blinked.

“It has been programmed to take note of common ticks, eye movement, hand movement and sweat levels as well as infrared technology that-”
“detects your heart rate. The ultimate lie detector. One of my most favorite baby’s!” Hatsume’s voice said through the device.

“So, the way this works is whichever group tells the most truths wins a prize!” Ochaco smiled.

“This sounds…” Eijiro gulped. “fun?”
He took notice of who was in the room. “Not sure our group will win though.”

“Yeah…I’m not so sure.” Izuku grumbled.

“Don’t be weak! We’re heroes, right?” Katsuki snapped. “If you got skeletons in your closet THAT bad, you don’t deserve the title anyway!”
“R-right!” Izuku nodded. “Let’s do our best!”

“First question then…” Ochaco turned to the door and took off the card which was actually blank. “Bakugo-kun, why did you keep your relationship with Kirishima-kun a secret?”

“Huh?”

“Uraraka-San!” Izuku scolded.
She threw the card to the side. “It’s time to stop lying. Kirishima-kun told us earlier this week you know. That you guys have been dating since first year. So why did you hide it?”

Kirishima looked like a deer in the headlights as Katsuki whipped his head toward him then Izuku.
Izuku looked away guiltily.

“What the fuck?! We aren’t dating!” Katsuki snapped.

“Truth!” Hatsume said as the device lit up green.

“Y-you’re not?” Izuku looked back at him in horror.

“No! Is that what you’ve been so upset about all week?!”
“I…Kirishima-kun said…” Izuku looked at his friend who who had tears prickling in his eyes before looking at Katsuki then back at Kirishima. “He said…”

“I’m sorry.” Eijiro whispered.

“WHAT THE FUCK?!” Katsuki grabbed his shirt. “WHY DID YOU LIE TO HIM?!”
“Oh my gosh!” Ochaco gasped dramatically. “It was all a lie?! So Deku-kun’s been upset since the day you wrote that love note in his notebook which prompted Kirishima-kun to tell us that you guys were secretly dating for NOTHING?!”
“YOU LIED TO HIM THE DAY I TOLD YOU MY PLAN TO ASK HIM OUT?!” Katsuki shoved him against the wall.

“I’m sorry!” Eijiro cried. “I’m sorry, okay?!”

“Why?! Why would you betray me you backstabbing, conniving, dim witted snake?!”
“Because…because I was concerned for Midoriya! You’re not right for him!”

Hatsume’s device lit red. “Lies!”

“Okay! It’s because! I love you! I just wanted a chance with you and it was slipping through my fingers! I just wanted time where you weren’t all over him!”
The device lit green. “Truth!”

“You love me? I’ve been miserable all fucking week, and you love me?! I’ve been feeling like worst asshole on the planet, lower than scum, not knowing why and you call THAT LOVE?!” Katsuki broke into tears. “FUCK YOU!”
Katsuki put his hand on his face as he replayed everything that happened that week. All of Izuku’s words and actions suddenly made a hell of a lot of sense.

“And then you brought me to his room to ‘comfort him’ when he was already stressed out. God, you’re a DICK!”
Katsuki pulled his hand back to sock him in the face but froze when Izuku burst into tears.

“I’m sorry!” He sobbed. “I….I just believed him…I….I made you so upset….I…I hurt you over and over…and you didn’t deserve any of it…how could I…I’m sorry! I’m so sorry!”
He hiccuped and hyperventilated as Katsuki ran and put his arms around him.

“I…I kissed Hawks…that must have been so hard for you to see and you had every right to hate me but you draped me with a blanket and gave me a pillow and kept me safe and I spit on your kindness…”
“I rejected you over and over and didn’t tell you why because I was trying to be a good friend to Kirishima-kun, but I…but I forgot to be a good friend to you!” Izuku cried into his chest. “I’m sorry. I’m sorry. I’m so sorry!”

“Will ya quit filming him?!”
Katsuki snatched camera from Shoto’s hand and blew it up.

“I’m done with this stupid game!” Katsuki snapped at Uraraka. “And Ei…I’m not done with you! But I’m taking Izuku home! I hope you’re fucking proud of yourself!”
He effortlessly through Izuku over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes and stormed out of the closet as everyone turned their way with their mouths opened.

“GET OUT OF MY FUCKING WAY!” Katsuki ordered before marching out the doors of the arcade leaving everyone stunned.
Kirishima sunk to the ground in tears as Uraraka and Todoroki surrounded him with their arms crossed.

“I…was gonna tell him, you know. I was gonna tell Midoriya after the party…”

Hatsume’s device dinged green.

“You made Deku-kun hurt Bakugo… he’ll never get over that.”
“You made US hurt Bakugo.” Shoto said angrily before pulling Kirishima up by the shirt and socking him in the face. “I won’t get over that either.”

“No fair.” Mina said from the closet door. “I wanted the first hit.”

“You guys…please…” Kirishima held his face. “I get it.”
“I don’t think you do.” Kaminari said angrily. “So why don’t you get really hard so we can all whack the piñata!”

Katsuki and Izuku sat and cried together in his room for as long as they could before they were all dried. Holding each other for comfort.
“I…thought you didn’t trust me.” Izuku mumbled. “I was hurt that…that you hid this huge party of your life from me. And I was embarrassed and confused because I… I love you a lot. And I was finally confident that you loved me too. I thought..”
“I had this idea in my head that we had forever together and it was only a matter of time. And when Kirishima-kun lied to me… it broke me. I don’t know why I believed him so easily. I’m so ashamed of myself.” Izuku looked up and wiped a stray tear from Katsuki’s face.
“The Kacchan he told me about isn’t the Kacchan I know.”

“Izuku, the Kacchan you know isn’t capable of loving anyone else but you.” Katsuki whispered.

“You shouldn’t be so sweet to me…” Izuku said sadly. “I don’t deserve it.”
“Are you kidding me?” Katsuki laughed. “You deserve more than just kind words. You deserve the best the world has to offer. I think I’m pretty damn close to that.”

Izuku laughed at that. “No no, you’re out of this world. Out of this world amazing.”

“Fuck, I missed that.”
“What?”

“Your smile. All week I had to go without seeing it. You put me through hell, you know.”

“I’m-”

“It’s not your fault so don’t apologize! If Half and Half came to me and said the same bullshit lie, I probably would have believed it and acted worse. Jealousy is stupid.”
“Yeah… it really is.” Izuku grumbled.

“But…it’s kinda funny.” Katsuki snickered.

“What’s funny?” Izuku blinked.

“You. You’re too fucking cute. Look at you.” Katsuki plopped him in front of his mirror showing him his smudged eyeliner and mascara running.
“You look like Eri-Chan put a blindfold on and painted you with watercolors.”

“Thanks…” Izuku sulked.

“It’s kinda hot too.” Katsuki whispered by his ear.

“K-Kacchan!” Izuku shoved him.

“What? I can flirt with you, can’t I?”

“I…I guess…” Izuku blushed. “Y-yeah.”
Katsuki burst into a fit of laughter.

“What now?!”

“You ruined that off brand eagle’s career cause you were so upset.”

“K-Kacchan! It’s not funny!”

“It’s hilarious!”

“It’s all over the internet! It was humiliating!”

“I thought the worst of him but now that I know why..”
Katsuki grabbed Izuku’s face and leaned close to it. “I think it’s kinda endearing that you’d burn the world down if you can’t have me.”

“Wouldn’t you?”

“Speaking of… I got you a little something.” Katsuki manhandled his cardigan off of him and tied it around his eyes.
“What’s going on?!” Izuku questioned nervously.

“This wasn’t exactly how I planned to do this but here goes nothing.” Katsuki slowly traced his hands up Izuku’s bare waist till he grabbed the fabric of his crop top, making his breath shudder. “Pick your hands up nerd.”

“W-w-”
“What are you-”

“Don’t get too excited.” Katsuki grinned as he slipped the shirt off.

Izuku blushed furiously and held himself as Katsuki walked away and rummaged through his things before returned and slipping a new shirt over his head.

“Alright, ready?”
“I’m never ready for your surprises but you don’t really give me a choice.” Izuku stated.

“You definitely thought I was gonna shove my dick in your ass, didn’t you?”

“Kacchan!”

“Come on, admit it!”

“Take the stupid blindfold off!”

“Fine! Fine!”
Katsuki removed it and Izuku looked in the mirror and blinked in confusion at the T shirt he was wearing that ‘boyfriend shirt’

“Huh?”

“That’s that face I was going for.” Katsuki grinned before turning him around and writing on the top ‘Kacchan’s’ in red sharpie.
He turned Izuku back to the mirror whose eyes immediately started watering.

“Even after everything…after this whole week, how I treated you…you still want to be with me?”

“Izuku.” Katsuki leaned down and turned him to face him. “I don’t just want it. I NEED it.”
Izuku nodded fiercely before leaning up and pressing their lips together. He caressed his face gently as they took in the moment, learning how each other feels, savoring how the other tastes, becoming overwhelmed with electricity coursing through each other’s veins.
Katsuki let out a satisfied groan as he pulled Izuku off the chair by his waist. Holding him tightly with one arm as he used his hand on the other to gent pull on his hair, beckoning him to open his mouth and let his tongue in. He felt amazing, tasted like candy.

“Finally…”
He huffed.

Izuku ran his hands up his bare chest and slid his cardigan off before throwing his arms around his neck and pulling him in for a deeper more sensual kiss.

“Yeah…finally.”

They had one hell of a final lap. But the finish line was damn satisfying.
They both won something beautiful that night.

Kirishima returned home to his dorm bruised and beaten. Class A would forgive him eventually, they just REALLY needed to get that out their system. He didn’t even wanna know what Katsuki had in store for him….
But by the sounds of the contented giggles and hushed moans coming from his walls, that ship for him had definitely sailed. At least he still had his gifts. Maybe he could pretend for awhile that not everyone hated him.
He put his headphones on to drown out whatever was happening in Katsuki’s room and pulled out a tiny gift bag at the top of the stack. He opened it and froze in awe at the beautiful locket with his favorite picture of his mom inside.
Engraved on the inside was a message from one of the last letters she had written to him.

“Life can be hard, but I’ll always be here to catch you.”

He burst into tears. It was a beautiful gift. He knew who it was from before even opening the card.
He grabbed it and opened it anyway.

‘Happy Birthday Kirishima-kun,
I’m so happy getting to celebrate another year with you as my friend. I hope to celebrate many more! Plus ultra!’

Eijiro sobbed into his knees. He didn’t deserve it, but he would do anything for his forgiveness
Sudden his phone beeped. It was a notification from Katsuki’s Instagram. He posted a picture of a photo strip from the booth at the arcade.

‘Today’s a special day. From now and forever. 10.16 belongs to us. 🥂'
Midoriya had commented. ‘To us. ♥️'

It stung. It hurt. But Eijiro earned this pain. And in that moment, he realized losing Katsuki didn’t hurt as much as he thought it would. He never had a chance to date Katsuki in the first place. He always belonged to Izuku.
But the possibility of losing Midoriya as a friend forever? THAT was unbearable. He knew if there was one thing he had to fight for, it was earning him back. And he wasn’t going to give up easily.

At least he was happy. At least they were happy.

‘To you guys.’ He whispered.

Midoriya Kazui was excited as his dam dressed him up in his best clothes. Combed his unruly spiky hair, and put the smell good stuff all over him. It was a routine he was used to and something he found fun.

"Today, I'm gonna do it!" Izuku puffed his cheeks.
"Yeah! There's lantern sharks! And Lemon sharks and Whale sharks! And Nurse sharks!" Kazui and the kid, Mahiro became fast friends. Kazui ended up following him and his family all through the aquarium.

"You should come have dinner with us!" Mahiro begged.
"Yeah! That sounds fun!" Kazui completely forgot about his class as he walked out of the aquarium with them to the parking lot.

"Where are your parents, dear?" Kazui's mother asked him. "We're happy Mahiro made a friend, but.. maybe it's time you go back with your Mama?"

CW: Self Harm, Dark themes (But major healing and love at end!)

Midoriya Izuku lived his biggest dream as the number one hero. It was a short time, but it was the best time of his life. He lost One for All at 23 years old and now he was back to being quirkless.
Izuku gratefully guzzled the water as Katsuki held his head to his heart and let him hear it beat. He always knew exactly what to do.

“Kacchan, you had a hard night last night.” Izuku reminded him. “I saw the news, you were helping those civilians evacuate for hours.”
“The last thing you need to worry about is my runny eggs!”

“Izuku!” Katsuki kissed him. “When we got married, I made an oath. In sickness and in health, damnit! Helping you and your runny eggs is my job that I take seriously!”

Izuku smiled gratefully at him.

Bakugo Katsuki was a very important businessman. No, he was more like a business tyrant. Needless to say, he was extremely busy and this annoying ass wedding planner was the last of his worries. He looked at his assistant,
“I had the wrong idea about you. Thank you for watching over my son. Please continue to allow him to be part of your success.” Inko bowed.

“It wouldn’t be success without him.” Katsuki smirked before standing up. “I’ll try and take more days off for the both of us.”

“Are you boys ready for your first day?” Bakugo Mitsuki excitedly asked her son and his childhood friend as they walked out of the house.

“Don’t you dare snap a picture!” Katsuki seethed.
“I am excited, thank you Auntie.” Izuku smiled at her politely and let her take a photo. He then followed Kacchan out the door nervously.

“You better walk behind me!” Katsuki roared.

“Whatever you say, Kacchan.” Izuku said dejectedly. Their relationship was bad.
Izuku could only blame himself for it. He kept his distance from the alpha. But he had to live with him, and unbeknownst to Katsuki, he had to have a future with him. Because they were married.

Izuku wished he could be blissfully unaware of this fact like Kacchan was.
