It's the end of day 3 post-Election Day in Nevada. @TheNVIndy has projected winners for nearly every statewide race, except a tight race for Nevada's Senate seat.

Where do things stand in NV? What ballots were counted today?

Here's a goodnight roundup from the #WeMatter state:
The big update: Republican Joe Lombardo has been projected to win the Nevada gubernatorial race, unseating Democratic Gov. Steve Sisolak, while there is still no projected winner in the Senate race between Democratic Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto and Republican Adam Laxalt.
Today saw 46k ballots tabulated and reported (Clark - 27.3k, Washoe - 11k, Douglas - 5.1k, Carson - 2.6k). The results from Washoe (+1.1k for CCM) and Douglas + Carson (+1.2k for Laxalt) practically offset while CCM won Clark mail by more than 8k.

Now: Laxalt leads by 862 votes.

Nevada election results update: Washoe County has published an update, with about 11k mail ballots tabulated and reported in this batch.

I’ll have updated numbers for the Nevada Senate race posted soon.
With a new batch of 11k ballots counted in Washoe County, here are the #nvsen results:
- Cortez Masto received 5.8k votes (53 percent)
- Laxalt received 4.7 votes (43 percent)

This drops Laxalt’s statewide lead from nearly 2k votes back down to about 800.
The margins in this Washoe batch were tighter than in recent mail batches from the battleground county, but Nevada’s remaining uncounted votes are almost all from mail-in ballots, which Cortez Masto has consistently won more votes from.

Great update on hand counting in Nye County from @jess_hillyeah. Even after all the drama, the court cases, the state orders to stop after two days — the count ultimately amounts to a sweeping audit of the results already tabulated in the same way as in other counties.
Nye County Clerk described the process to the RJ as an “experiment” and “test for process,” per Jessica's story.

As @AP's @gabestern326 has detailed in previous reporting, the brief hand counting that occurred over two days last month was slow and had errors. It seems there are still issues. From the RJ story: Image

Finally! Some clear numbers from Clark County this morning. Nearly 16k to be tabulated today + 34k more in processing ("not all will be counted today"). Then there are 9.7k in signature cure process and more than 5.5k provision ballots that are being validated.
So collectively, these numbers represent a little more than 65k ballots in Clark County that have not yet been tabulated and reported. Not all will end up being tabulated votes, as some signatures may not be cured / some provisionals may not be validated.
Gloria makes key point about provisionals (these come from same-day reg + there are 5.5k in Clark). To be validated requires SOS b/c NV is bottom-up voter reg state w/ data managed by counties. SOS has to compare county data to ensure there aren't double votes from provisionals.

We are closing in on 50 hours post-close of polls in Nevada. There are thousands of mail ballots yet to be tabulated and reported. Today saw nearly 36k ballots reported in NV + a slew of winners projected.

Anyways, here’s another goodnight thread & daily roundup for you all.
The nearly 36k mail ballots reported today, which came primarily from larger dumps in urban Clark and Washoe counties, saw top-of-ticket Democrats again cut down on Republican leads built previously through a big GOP Election Day turnout advantage.
In the Nevada Senate race, Republican Adam Laxalt now leads incumbent Democratic Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto by about 9k votes — down from a lead of nearly 16k at the start of the day with more Dem-leaning mail ballots counted today.
