When the joy of liberation slowly fades away the disturbing news are coming from the area. As it was in other liberated regions, torture chambers and mass graves have been discovered in #Kherson region. Also other crimes known so far are in this thread 1/ #RussianWarCrimes ImageImage

Journalists found traces of possible mass burials at the city cemetery in liberated #Kherson.

The Russian military released more than 400 convicts from a detention center in #Kherson during their escape. In addition, the cases of 59 people who were detained by the Russians during the occupation were found in the jail. It is reported that the occupiers took these people 7/

10 years ago russians tried to establish “Kharkiv people’s republic”
They started with seizing the administration building (now destroyed by russian missiles)
the organizers and main performers were citizens of russia, e.g., russian guy from Moscow who put ru flag on the roof

Fortunately russians were kicked out of the city administration and it is under the control of Ukraine since then.

russian military killed Serhiy Kokurin, an ensign of the Ukrainian military unit in Crimea. Kokurin is considered the second victim of the russian annexation of #Crimea

And a first military victim of russian aggression. He was killed with an AK-74 during an assault by the russian military on the 13th photogrammetric center in Simferopol. At that time, Kokurin was on the observation tower of the vehicle fleet of the unit.

The first victim was Reshat Ametov, a Crimean Tatar activist, who went on a peaceful pro-Ukrainian picket in front of the building of the Council of Ministers of Crimea in Simferopol on March 3rd. His body was found on March 15, 2014, he was tortured to death.
