Bit more info on a prospective #LFC sale. My understanding is that FSG would prefer a full sale over minority investment despite hearing offers of all kinds. And the expectation, from those familiar with the process, is that a sale may happen sooner rather than later.
Important to note, 'sooner' in a sale context still takes a fair amount of time, especially with no interested party in exclusive talks or having undertaken due diligence. But sources do stress wheels are very much in motion with Mike Gordon now focused on finding options.
Jurgen Klopp has been given guarantees, regardless of timescale, that the next two transfer windows won't be affected by the process. It's business as usual on the recruitment and planning side.
Multiple sources also say the sale process is framed towards an American-led investor, with one group already some weeks into talks and other investors, who specifically considered Chelsea, still giving a bid serious consideration.
Since @David_Ornstein broke news of a potential sale, #LFC have had a number of new suitors enquire. But Dubai Holding (or an affiliate) and Mumtalakat both deny interest. A MENA-based buyer or investor is not likely.
Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment (HBSE) are a genuine suitor and, since trying for Chelsea, have remained on the market for a global club/brand. This isn't great news for Palace (Harris/Blitzer own shares). But Palace didn't present any roadblocks during #CFC sale tender.
FSG expect #LFC to sell for close to $1bn more than Chelsea, although their Forbes valuation is even higher ($4.45bn). They have specifically used that sale as a yardstick. That would put a sale price in today's market at $3.7bn (£3.1bn).
#CFC actually went for $3.1bn at the time, which equated to £2.3bn. But now it would only be $2.7bn and that's the number #LFC are to some extent judging their value against.
The expectation, from those familiar with the process, is offers of $3bn and above will be seriously entertained. But the growing volume of interest should result in a higher sale price should a chosen bidder progress.
A full sale is by no means certain. FSG don't just want the right price (they are making a huge profit either way), but the right group as well, so a lot will depend on not just the offer but the plan for the club going forward.

“The Glazers, they don’t care about the club… they don’t really care in my opinion.”

Ronaldo tells Piers Morgan he hasn’t spoken to the owners since re-joining #MUFC

#MUFC waiting for the full interview fallout before determining a response beyond their initial statement. But club are furious & exploring legal options surrounding Ronaldo’s contract. One gripe is also that due to the timing there’s no immediate chance to engage with Ronaldo.
Club essentially looking at different scenarios (and punishments) which will be communicated and, I am told, ideally discussed with Ronaldo. But therein lies the challenge and frustration. If all goes well for Portugal he won’t engage for weeks.

Mykhaylo Mudryk tells Vlada Sedan (TV presenter and Zinchenko's wife) he'll be disappointed if he doesn't get a January move from Shakhtar. He confirms he spoke to coaches at Nice, Leverkusen & Brentford last summer. And he again hints at Arsenal being his choice of preference...
Sedan asks Mudryk if playing on the same wing as her husband excites him. Mudryk replies, "Yeah, it does".

And Mudryk confirms he watches #AFC. "They are a very dynamic side not just in how they control possession but also the way they score."
It's also put to Mudryk that he may start more games at Arsenal compared Real Madrid and he replies: “From a purely theoretical fantasy perspective if there was the option of being a bench player for Real Madrid or a starter for Arsenal, I’d probably choose Arsenal."

A few Chelsea fans calling for Graham Potter to be sacked, which is ridiculous. Chelsea are trying to move away from this kind of cutthroat approach. Potter is a long-term appointment who hasn’t had key players available or a transfer window at the club.
It takes time to implement a new style, culture and, perhaps most importantly for long-term success, recruitment model. The senior leadership team at Chelsea is still being built and are fixing many problems that pre-dated them.
Granted, some will call sacking Thomas Tuchel a problem of their own making, hence the lack of patience amongst a few with Potter. But the ownership group and Tuchel had strategic differences that proved untenable and started as early as pre-season.

A22, promoters of the European Super League, thought they had a one-on-one meeting with UEFA president Aleksander Čeferin. Instead 30+ executives turned up, including Javier Tebas and Nasser Al Khelaifi. Premier League, FIFPRO and FSA all represented...
Meeting termed” incredible” and lasted 2.5 hours. There was confusion because A22 claimed no affiliation with the previous ESL or any links with Juventus, Barcelona or Real. They were challenged by multiple stakeholders and refused to explain who is behind company or funding.
Stakeholders tell me A22 presented no new ideas. Fan groups present were very vocal and Khelaifi and Tebas and united in their criticism.

Important to note on #LFC, inviting offers is relatively common. It doesn’t guarantee an imminent sale. It does allow FSG to see who is out there in the market and adds a structure to any sale process if they proceed.
This allows #LFC to effectively gather and assess suitors with the weak pound potentially tempting US investors.
It’s clearly a strong sign FSG are open to a sale. But that doesn’t mean one will happen at anywhere near the same speed as Chelsea’s, which was atypical and unplanned.

Another brilliant win for Newcastle at Southampton. They are genuine Champions League contenders, especially when their 2022 form is considered rather than just 14 games this season. They are playing with style and swagger.
Howe marks his (almost) one-year anniversary as manager with 71 points from 41 games. Only Kevin Keegan took more from his first 41 matches. 23 calendar-year wins in the Premier League is also Newcastle's best return in 20 years.
What impressed me most was how clinical #NUFC were. Almiron showed composure for the opener & has seven goals in his last seven. Wood's finish was instinctive. Trippier's ball cut open Saints allowing Willock to score. & Bruno's fourth was so measured and accurate from distance.
