SitRep - 16/11 - Time for Bavovna

An overview of the daily events in the war between Russia and Ukraine. A special look at all front lines and in particular the events and statements surrounding the #G20 summit in #Bali.

As usual we start with daily Russian losses based on the Ukrainian General Staff report. And captured and/or damaged equipment confirmed visually.

+630 men personnel
+10 tanks
+24 APCs
+10 artillery systems
+75 cruise missiles

A slight update on yesterdays missile attack on Ukraine. 89 aerial targets were shot down out of 100+ objects that were fired.

In the battles for #Mayorsk, the 1st territorial battalion (mobilized from Donbas) lost 50% of its personnel and was disbanded - the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The Armed Forces captured another rare trophy. Mobile reconnaissance and artillery fire control point - 1B119 "Rheostat". There are only 50 known produced of which 3 were destroyed and 7 got captured by the AFU.

Over to the general events. Mostly focussed on the G20 top in Bali and partners announcing aid. #Sweden has announced a new $287 mln. aid package to Ukraine - it will provide air defense systems, Defense Minister Paul Jonsson said.

In addition to anti-aircraft systems, the military package includes all-terrain vehicles, winter equipment and protective equipment and tents.

About the 'Archer' self propelled howitzer he said "there will be additional packages".

#Croatia will transfer its 14 Mi-8 and Mi-17 helicopters to the Air Force of Ukraine in exchange for Blackhawk helicopters from the USA, Jutarnji reports

The Oshkosh M1070 U.S. Army tank transporter tractor unit, which was purchased by volunteers together with the Poroshenko Foundation, has arrived in Ukraine, it will be used in one of the artillery brigades, which has Western self-propelled guns.

#Germany announced another additional aid package for Ukraine.

G20 adopted a declaration demanding "full, unconditional Russian withdrawal from the territory of Ukraine". Nothing binding but a first step to a united statement to Russia.

Regarding yesterdays attack on Poland. It is highly likely that this was a Ukrainian Airdefense missile type S-300.

To the fronts: #Kherson

➡️No map changes.
➡️The Kinburn Spit/left bank rumors prove to be wrong for now. There might be activity, but it is certainly not a Ukrainian territorial gain as rumoured.
➡️AFU attacked #Chaplynka and #Dzhankoy (Crimea) with HIMARS

➡️🇷🇺 Deputy Governor of the temporarily occupied Kherson region Ekaterina Gubareva disappeared. Later it became known she was detained on suspicion of economic crimes.
➡️Kyivstar and Vodafone were reintroduced in #Kherson
➡️UN humanitarian convoy delivered aid to Kherson.

#Vuheldar - #Pavlivka

➡️Fighting occurs around #Pavlivka. Russians and Ukrainian both control half of the town. AFU pounds the city with artillery.
➡️AFU got reinforced in the area with 2 brigades from Kherson
➡️We saw an AFU BMP pinning down Russian forces in southern Pavlivka

#Bakhmut

➡️No changes
➡️Fighting occurs over the whole frontline, especially east of Bakhmut, Soledar, Bakhmuts'ke, Opytne and Ivangrad.
➡️Mayorske is contested but definitely not occupied by Russian forces.

#Kreminna

➡️Russian sources keep stating that the situation around Ploshchanka is 'difficult'. Some sources even tell us the AFU has penetrated deep around the P66 highway as far as Krasnorichens'ke outskirts.
➡️AFU still shows presence just west of Chervonopopivka.

➡️An ambush was published by Ukrainian SSO units, high likely in the Serebryansʹkyy forest area.

#Kupyansk-#Svatove

➡️No map changes
➡️AFU tried to storm Kuzemivka, but had to retreat under heavy artillery fire
➡️AFU attacked Svatove, Starobilsk and Bilokurakyne with artillery/HIMARS. In Bilokurakyne a column of heavy equipment was reportedly hit.
