As usual we start with #Russian losses, based on the info of the Ukrainian General Staff. And we add visually confirmed losses or captured Russian equipment.
+410 men personnel
+2 tanks
+5 APCs
+5 artillery systems
As i count collaborators as Russians, i include them in the losses section. Here you see a group of collaborators that are caught by the SBU in the #Kherson region. They will face trial for collaborating with the enemy and (high) treason.
This morning alarming news came out. Strategic Tu-95MS bombers became active in Russia. Not long after, the first incoming missile reports came trough. Ukraine was preparing... The first missiles flew into the southern and eastern parts of Ukraine where airdefense tried to work.
It soon turned out to be a major attack. In total, Russia fired around 70 cruise missiles and 5 kamikaze drones at various cities in Ukraine. 31 rockets were fired on #Kyiv alone. Ukrainian air defense shot down 51 missiles and 5 drones. In total, 16 Ukrainian objects were hit.
In #Kyiv 10 rockets hit multiple objects. From the 31 rockets fired, 21 were intercepted. A multi-story building in #Vyshhorod adjacent to Kyiv was hit. Five people were killed in this particular attack, 27 got wounded.
Russia targetted critical infrastructure troughout Ukraine but hit a lot of civilian objects instead. Explosions were reported in Odesa, Mykolaiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Kyiv, Lviv, Cherkasy, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kryvyi Rih, Kharkiv, Vinnitsya. Almost everywhere electricity/water stopped.
Even in Moldova, which' power is partially being supplied via the Ukrainian energy system had major outages in a lot of cities.
At the end of the day, the balance could be drawn up. A lot of damage to critical infrastructure, but power has been restored in many places (such as in Lviv). Repairs in other places take a little longer, but are expected to be (almost) fully serviced within 24 hours.
Over to the general events. The European Parliament just adopted a resolution recognizing Russia as a "State Sponsor of Terrorism".
This is an important first step but the move is largely symbolic, as the European Union does not have a legal framework in place to back it up.
Britain will give Ukraine three Sea King helicopters and 10,000 artillery shells.", - Secretary of Defense Wallace.
The head of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola, announced the launch of a campaign for the mass supply of electric generators from the EU to Ukraine.
America presented a new 400 million aid package to Ukraine.
