OSCE: ELECTIONS IN KAZAKHSTAN WERE HELD WITHOUT POLITICAL COMPETITION
On 21 November 2022, Kazakhstan's Foreign Ministry said that the OSCE's ODIHR "suffers from a lack of objectivity" due to a "biased" assessment of the elections.

Tokayev, continuing the Nazarbayev tradition, did not allow real opposition to participate in the elections, and the OSCE observers have documented this in detail in the report.

In particular, the observers detailed that the unregistered opposition group "Alga Kazakhstan" announced peaceful demonstrations against snap elections on 20 November.

At the same time, detention and administrative arrest measures were imposed on organisers and potential participants.

Two policemen came to civil activist Yermek #KONSHBAYEV’s home to allegedly check on him and see if he was fine. They claimed they decided to drop by on their way to a place on a call.
