•Assign marks to the BMAT;
•rank applicants according to scores;
•fill interview places with the top scorers who also meet these minimum scores:
Section 1: 3
Section 2: 6
Section 3: 2.5 C
Do not use personal statement (PS) at all.

Do not share a specific method of selection.
They take a holistic (though heavy weighting on academic) approach which Includes:
•GCSE results
•BMAT score
•PS
•Reference
Etc…

Take into account:
•A-Level predictions
•BMAT scores - are ranked and top scorers from each section are considered
•Evidence (in PS & ref) of commitment to NHS values; motivation & understanding of medical career; community activities; leadership & teamwork.

•Assign points to 8 GCSEs
•Combine these with the BMAT scores
•Rank applicants by score
•Select top scorers for interview
PS not used until interviews.

•Combine A-Level predicted or achieved grades with BMAT
•Rank applicants by score
•Top scorers invited for interview
PS not used until interview. BMAT section 3 is also used at interview.

•BMAT scores weighted:
section 1 40%
section 2 40%
section 3 20%
•Rank applicants according to score
•Top scorers invited for interview
PS taken into account for students not automatically shortlisted. & provides evidence of commitment to study medicine.

•Then sum score of section 1&2 are ranked
•Top scorers invited for interview
