Lord Sumption, former senior judge who sat on the Supreme Court of the UK from 2012 to 2018.
"The UK's public finances are in a worse state than at any time since the Second World War,"
Sumption just wrote, but Official Opinion wants to blame interest rates, Ukraine, or "just about anything other than the main culprit lurking in the background: the lockdowns of the last two years."
In the UK 5 million self employed people like myself had none of the furlough. Yet we have to pay for the damage done by cheerleaders like you. Seems fair? #neverforget#dontforgive
And yet the MSM want you clapping like seals at #imacelebt Wankcock & Fishi. What has happened to Great Britain?
Tldr: estimated 3 million self-employed workers are excluded from government support. These include:
The newly self-employed and new businesses
The self-employed with profits above £50,000
Workers in less than 50% self-employment
New parents on parental leave
Workers on PAYE freelance short-term contracts
Low investment start-ups
Small limited company owner-directors.
And lastly this is aimed at those who made out like bandits while barking at us tin foil hat wearers.
80% of self employed profit is not the same as 80% of your wages. #seiss
