The #AntiCowSlaughter bill was brought in with great fanfare in Karnataka. BJP MLAs wore Kesari shawls & even got Gau Mata to Vidhana Soudha & did an extensive pooja to mark the passing of this revolutionary bill. The ❤️ for Gau Mata is exposed in the following🧵

Firstly, the Finance Dept did not approve of #AntiCowSlaughter because of the huge financial implications. The Dept says this is not a feasible idea as the Govt is already finding it difficult to make ends meet.
This shows the State economy is in doldrums.

So, how much would it cost the Govt to appease their masters in Keshava Krupa? A whopping 5240.18 Crores.
For whose benefit was #AntiCowSlaughter? Neither the farmer nor the labour nor the leather industry benefit from it?

State's Economic Survey 2020-21 states Karnataka's leather exports stood at
521.81 Cr in 2017-18
562 Cr in 2018-19
502 Cr in 2019-20
166 Cr in 2020-21

So what was point of creating so much unemployment in sector that has more employment opportunities?

He suggested the two nation theory in while delivering the presidential address to the 19th Hindu Mahasabha session at Ahmedabad in 1937.

The theory of two nations was first proposed in #Savarkar’s book, Essentials of Hindutva & was later passed as a resolution by the Hindu Mahasabha in 1937.
In 1940, All India Muslim League, led by Jinnah adopted this concept in its Lahore session. Why blame Pt. Nehru?

BJP is forcing #Savarkar on the people of Karnataka. They want his photo to be installed alongside Lord Ganesha in all the #GaneshUtsav pandals as the supreme freedom fighter of the nation.
But did he really contribute to the freedom struggle as claimed by BJP?

Seems like #Savarkar wanted to be a revolutionary, but was unwilling to pay the price of being one. People like Bhagat Singh,Azad, Bose & thousands of others paid the price with their lives,but the intimidating sentences by British did it’s job of softening him up completely

When arrested in London for extradition to India in 1910 to be tried in India for Nashik Conspiracy Case, #Savarkar approached the King’s Bench Divisional Court for writ of Habeas Corpus because the rules of evidence in India were different & extradition would be unfair.

Why would @PMOIndia inaugurate an already semi-functional campus with 3 batches of graduates having already graduated?

Anyways, a little bit of history on Bengaluru Ambedkar School of Economics (BASE) that @narendramodi ji will be inaugurating tomorrow.

2016 was 125th Birth Anniversary of Babasaheb Ambedkar & Govt of Karnataka wanted to pay a unique tribute to Babasaheb for his contributions to the country.
The then CM Sri @siddaramaiah sought suggestions from the leaders & representatives on what should be done as a tribute

Many of them wanted to gather all the beneficiaries of Social Welfare Dept & hold a huge rally in Palace Grounds. CM @siddaramaiah wasn’t too convinced.
That is when it hit me that it is a little known fact that Babasaheb was the only trained economist in Pt. Nehru’s cabinet.
