"Ambassador of Russian propaganda". How the Russian UN ambassador turned into a major propagandist. Read more on our website: ukraineworld.org/articles/infow…
On 6 December the Ambassador of the Russian Federation stormed out of the chamber during the UN Security Concil meeting about Ukraine. In fact, while his speech he managed to combine all existing Russian propaganda narratives.
Russian UN Ambassador Vasily Nebenzya accused Ukraine of "genocide of Donbas people" legitimising Russia's invasion and war crimes as a "revenge".
He also accused the West and the UN of "double standards" and attempts to "persecute people speaking about facts". This argument was previously by Russia in debates about efforts to stop fake news abroad.
Speaking about children, Nebenzia repeated narrative about "children killed in Donbas". Everything to shift the focus away from Russian war crimes against Ukrainian children. #UkraineRussiaWar
He even called Ukrainian children and teenagers "influenced by neo-Nazi russophobic propaganda". This complies with the narrative that Ukrainians have to be "re-educated" or liquidated. #RussiaIsATerroristState
In one speech Nebenzia also accused the West of the war, named Ukraine a "failed state" and stated that Russia will continue strikes on Ukrainian civilian infrastructure. Though, he left the chamber, he has managed to cover practically all narratives of Russian propaganda.

Not enough money to support its own "second-best army of the world."
Margarita Simonyan, editor-in-chief of 🇷🇺 RT, called for the raising of income taxes in #Russia on individuals who earn more than 5 million rubles (approx. $80 thousand) a year. 👇#AgainstRussianLies #InfoWatch
In saying this, Simonyan confirmed two things.
👉she made clear that the Kremlin’s propagandists earn many times more than its soldiers.
👉 she admitted that 🇷🇺 is having serious problems financially supporting those whom it has sent to “liberate Ukrainians”. #RussiaUkraineWar
She says that a society in which "officers receive less than taxi drivers" is " sick," and that “if there are people in our society who think that this is normal, they are sick.” #StopRussia
On November 14, the UN General Assembly adopted a resolution recommending the creation of a register to document damages caused by the Russian aggression against Ukraine. #RussiaUkraineWar
However, Russia continues to deny the “consequences” of its so-called “special military operation” on Ukraine, and Russian representatives condemned the resolution on reparations. #RussianWarCrimes
What are the prospects of a customs visa-free regime for Ukraine? UkraineWorld spoke to Veronika Movchan, Research Director at the Institute for Economic Research and Policy Consulting. Key points – in our brief, #UkraineWorldAnalysis: 1/10
A so-called "customs visa-free" regime does not refer to import or export duties. The reduction or elimination of duties is in the domain of a free trade area. 2/10
What we call a 'customs visa-free regime' is Ukraine's accession to the Common Transit Convention and the Convention on the Simplification of Formalities in Trade in Goods that occurred on October 1. 3/10
What are the weapon capabilities of Ukraine and Russia? UkraineWorld spoke to Ivan Kyrychevsky, military expert at Defense Express Media & Consulting Company. Key points – in our brief, #UkraineWorldAnalysis: 1/13
Ukrainian air defense consists of various weapons that interact as a system. The simplest anti-aircraft weapon is the DShK anti-aircraft gun, firing a 11.7 mm round, which under certain conditions can shoot down kamikaze drones. 2/13
There is the Soviet-made Osa-AKM anti-aircraft missile system which reaches up to 10 km, the Strela-10 short-range surface-to-air missile system, the Soviet Shilka and Tunguska self-propelled and radar-guided anti-aircraft weapon system, 3/13
What are the prospects of Ukraine-NATO cooperation? UkraineWorld spoke to Hanna Shelest, director of Security Programmes at the Ukrainian Prism Foreign Policy Council. Key points – in our brief, #UkraineWorldAnalysis: 1/14
It is hardly possible for Ukraine to join NATO during active military operations. The reason is not limited by mere technicalities, but by the North Atlantic Treaty itself. 2/14
The Treaty states clearly that a candidate country must contribute to transatlantic security. Accordingly, when there are active hostilities, disputes arise: is the candidate country protecting Europe, or will it bring additional problems? 3/14
Since 🇷🇺full-scale invasion of #Ukraine began in February, speculations on negotiations between 🇷🇺&🇺🇦 have been circulating in the Russian media. Some outlets have reported that 🇷🇺 and🇺🇸 were approaching talks on Ukraine.
Others have insisted that 🇺🇸 has interfered with "peace talks" between the two countries. On Oct 5, the Kremlin's outlet RT quoted Secretary of the Russian National Security Council Patrushev saying that "the NATO bloc is fighting against Russia."
