Short thread about Pakistani Army's Armoured Corps.

Pakistani tank inventory is a mishmash of Chinese copies of Soviet tanks, export versions of Chinese tanks and semi-Soviet tanks. How good they are in combat conditions, can only be guessed.

There are 2 armoured divisions and 9 indpendent armoured brigades. Each brigade has 2 regiments 2ith 42-44 tanks each. Each regiment has 3 squadrons of 14 tanks each with 3 squadrons. Each squadron has 4 tanks. Rest are for HQ, reserves, training.

T-80UD is perhaps best tank in Paki arsenal, but had logistics & reliability issues. Al-Khalid was supposed to improve the conditions, but had its own problems. This forced them to get VT-4.
How good it is remains to be seen.
Rest are T-55, T-62 type tanks with some upgrades

Delingha is one of the most important bases for Chinese PLA Rocket Forces. A lot of the ballistic missile testing happens here. Also has a large number of missile support and storage facilities.

Chinese troops involved in Galwan clash were not from regular army, but 363rd Border Defence Regiment (BDR). Somewhat like our BSF/ITBP but supposedly better equipped. China has 3 regiments 361, 362 and 363 deployed near Laddakh. Each BDR has 3 Inf Coys + 1 Support Coy..

Longish story.

I had a pretty big friend circle a few years back. Sometimes we used to meet up at someone's house for weekend parties with drinks and home cooked meat. We usually got meat from a muslim owned shop nearby and a muslim friend did most of non-veg cooking. Once
1/n
we visited a sikh friend's apartment for the party and he had brought meat from a shop selling jhatka meat. As usual, we asked the muslim friend to take up kitchen duty. His 1st question was, where did you get it from. Upon being told that it was not halal, his demeanour

2/n
changed suddenly and said something like, why are you guys not using halal? One of us answered that we get halal meat almost always, what difference does it make? He got even more offended and started to leave in a huff. Rest of us were "seculars" and persuaded him to stay

Being from #Jammu, I thought that genocide of Kashmiri Hindus by local muslims was common knowledge across India. Surprising that it takes #KashmirFiles movie made after 3 decades for people to finally take note.

Yet there are atleast 2 more Hindu communities from state,

1/n
refugees from PoK (Should be called PoJK as most area belongs to Jammu) & Hindus from north and west Jammu which suffered no less than KPs.

Former were living in Jammu since 1947, yet didn't even have proper citizenship rights and didn't receive any govt aid before BJP...

2/n
regime.

2nd community is of Dogra and Pahadi Hindus which suffered countless terrorist attacks & attempts of conversion at gunpoint same as KPs. many had to migrate to other places.

Imagine 1000s of Hindus killed, raped and many more forced to live as refugees & 2nd..

Pakistan starts induction of even more heavy artillery, 236 howitzers + 300mm MBRL.
Meanwhile Indian generals and babus are making Indian defence labs and manufacturers run circles for decades for kickbacks and ego. They'd fired or shot in any non-banana republic.
