1️⃣ 2022 has had its bumps for the entire space, but we couldn’t be more proud of our community’s resilience and the momentum we’ve built up! Here’s a peek into what should be an exciting 2023 for Evmos ☄️
2️⃣ V10 upgrade: Infrastructure for interchain applications. ⚡️
3️⃣ Interchain Accounts ⛓️ - paves the way for devs to build dApps that manage accounts on other IBC-connected blockchains.
🔄Automatic coin conversion - abstracts away conversions between IBC and ERC assets on Evmos, further improving the UX
4️⃣ Liquid Staking 💦 - EVMOS stakers can delegate their coins and then use them in DeFi. We’re already seeing new primitives built by teams like Stayking house (Huobi Momentum Hackathon winner) that enable leveraged staking and other cool DeFi interactions with staked tokens. 👇🏽
5️⃣Single account wallets 💰 - when using dApps built on #Evmos, you won’t have to switch wallets & networks. This is one of the many improvements we are excited to bring to the #Ethereum ecosystem at large, breaking the UX barriers to entry for average users.
6️⃣ Where does this lead?
⛓️Interchain dApps - You might never think about it, but Web2 apps use many networks. #Web3 apps should do the same. The design space is huge, but expect dApps managing liquidity on multiple chains, leveraging appchains for specific functions, and more.
7️⃣ Our team and community are at the forefront of expanding the capabilities of the EVM by leveraging the customizability of the #Cosmos SDK. After spending our first year post-mainnet shipping revolutionary infrastructure, the stage is set for a new frontier of dApp exploration!
8️⃣ To learn more about our plans, tune in to our Weekly Community Calls and AMAs, every Tuesday on Twitter Spaces and Discord. We love feedback and ideas from our community so please reach out on Twitter @EvmosOrg and on Telegram @EvmosOrg.

Last week’s community call included an update on how it’s going and also a look at the future 🔮
Insights on upgrading the testnet 🚀🌌
Post-launch talk: more on the Osmosis integration 🧪️
New and upcoming: Interchain accounts and the fee split model
The testnet upgrade was promised this week, but we’re taking our time because upgrading is tricky with the Cosmos SDK due to a severe lack of documentation. There’s a lot we have to figure out ourselves, but that also means we can apply what we learned to mainnet upgrades
Evmos is creating a full guide for all devs in the Cosmos ecosystem so other chains can also benefit from the work we’re doing around the nuances of upgrading github.com/cosmos/cosmos-…
As a quick summary, in this past week’s community call we brought you:
🧐 A recap of everything you need to know about relaunch
👀 Exciting things that project teams are bringing to Evmos
💸 The Evmos Grants Program
We’re upgrading the testnet with fixes for launch issues this week and taking the next 1-2 weeks to test thoroughly, giving partners time to test their deployments as well
If all goes well, mainnet will launch about a week after that; likely 2nd week of April
(2/12)
Will the chain reset or continue from the current block height?
The team is conducting data analysis to make an informed decision. We’ll be publishing a report with our findings, as we want the community to follow along with the decision-making process
