Number of cities with more than 1 million population:

USA 🇺🇸: 10
South America: 33
Europe 🇪🇺 : 34
India 🇮🇳: 46
China 🇨🇳: 155 (!)

#urbanization #economy
Benefits of urbanization are obvious — higher productivity, more efficiency, better services like education & healthcare, more employees for corporations, more employers for people, more consumers etc.

But it also requires tremendous planning and investment by the government.
Urban planning is kinda like rocket science. A holistic field that has to integrate hard sciences (like infrastructure) with soft sciences (lifestyle and convenience).
India is not only way behind in urbanization - 2 in 3 Indians live in rural areas - but the current status is also poor.

Example: In Mumbai (Bombay) 40% of the city’s population live in slums. That’s about 10 million people living in horrific conditions.

Many Americans and Indians waste a lot of time on China-related “Copium” — constantly dreaming of bad things happening to Chinese economy, politics or the people.

Short 🧵 on why this is foolish and detrimental.
First, your track record has been abysmal. Every gloom-and-doom prediction has been wrong.

For 25 years, Americans have been talking about the imminent collapse of China or the CPC/CCP. So, take a pause.

What’s that definition of insanity?
China has accomplished an economic miracle that has never been achieved in human history. So, give some respect to your competitor.

Staggering 45,000% GDP growth in 30 years (1991-2021).

So, if you’re playing football against Argentina, don’t treat it like the Bahamas.

Merry Christmas to Americans! Apart from gifts, eating, drinking and shopping online, it’s also Jesus Chris’s birthday.

So, here are come quotes from the Bible that you can think about and use to better the USA:
Don’t be obsessed with money. America’s predatory capitalism has resulted in enormous inequality and poverty.

Think about better wages, healthcare, education etc. for all
Love your neighbor and even your enemies. Stop hating Russia, China, Iran etc.

America has been the biggest warmongering nation in modern history.

End the perpetual wars.

If you want to learn about Nazi symbols, just watch a couple of videos of Ukrainian military. It’s like a WW2 documentary on Hitler. 😀

Totenkopf - skull and bones
Wolfsangel - N/Z with a line
Balkenkreuz - plus sign (used by Hitler’s airforce, Luftwaffe)

Azov Battalion -- are they Neo-Nazi or just Nazi?

Have you noticed how there are no “India watchers” among Western journalists? 🤔 And certainly there are none who live in India & constantly tweet negative stuff.

They will get kicked out by the Indian gov or beaten up by mobs!

Western idiots abuse the freedom given by China.
The ONE American I can think of who fits the bill of “India watcher” is Derek Grossman from RAND. But…

… he kisses India’s ass all day long on Twitter! 😂😂😂

Check out his account, it’s hilarious.
Here are two of my articles that explain why the U.S. Presstitutes attack China all day long and handle India with velvet gloves:

“China bad”

If you think Yuan cannot replace US dollar, think about what Facebook did to Myspace or what TikTok did to Instagram.

There's a little bit of chicken-and-egg dilemma in the beginning, but once a few big countries start using it, everyone will jump on the bandwagon.
There is already quite a bit of commodities-for-Yuan happening without fanfare:
* Some Brazilian and Australian companies sell iron ore for Yuan
* Malaysia sells palm oil and rubber for Yuan
* Russia sells oil coal, natural gas etc. in Yuan (also a big chunk of Russian FOREX)
Already, about 15% of cross-border payments in goods trade are being settled in Yuan/RMB!!

The globalization or internationalization of China's currency will only accelerate, especially when Arab states embrace Petroyuan for oil sales.

This is an astonishing chart that still shows the divide between the developed and developing nations -- Global share of services exports.

EU, US and UK account for more than 50% of world's market share. China and India are 5-6% each.

Some valuable lessons here...
First: This is what Western elites wanted. It's the nouveau imperialism/colonialism.

Let the poor countries do the dirty work, and the rich countries will do sophisticated services jobs.

This was also championed by Wall Street and international bankers who rule the US/EU.
While China proved the Western elites wrong about the criticality of manufacturing, it still needs to grow a lot in services. Same for India.

For developing countries, services is hard since it involves a lot of creativity as well as FLUFF. Examples are below:
