1/14: When the @SaskParty tries to constantly poison the well by saying "the @Sask_NDP destroyed Saskatchewan," we should all be reminded about the NDP's actual history of good government - a thread: #skpoli Image
2/14: 1944 - CCF(NDP) passes the Farm Security Act to protect Saskatchewan farms and farm machinery from seizure for debts by banks and mortgage companies. Image
3/14: 1944 - Crown Corporation Saskatchewan Government Insurance (@SGItweets) officially established. Image
4/14: 1946 - Premier Douglas meets with Indigenous leaders to form a single org representing First Nations interests in Saskatchewan. Formed the Union of Saskatchewan Indians (USI) which later became the Federation of Saskatchewan Indians (FSI), and later yet - the @fsinations. Image
5/14: 1946 - Saskatchewan Transportation Company (STC) officially established as a Crown Corporation linking the entire province's economy for shipping and travel. STC was dismantled and sold off in 2017 by Premier Brad Wall cutting off seniors and Northerners from transport. Image
6/14: 1947 - The CCF(NDP) passes the Saskatchewan Bill of Rights, the first Bill of Rights in Canada prohibiting discrimination on the basis of race, colour, or religion. Image
7/14: 1947 - Crown Corporation @SaskTel officially established. Telephone access is quickly extended to more farms and rural areas in Saskatchewan. Image

11/14: 1972 - @skcropinsurance is made available to all farmers across the province under Premier Allen Blakeney. Blakeney was a brilliant politician who was a Rhodes Scholar at the @UniofOxford. Image
12/14: 1975 - Crown Corporation the Potash Corporation of Saskatchewan officially established. It was later privatized under Grant Devine in 1989 and 1991 in the largest provincial privatization project to date in Canadian history, placing future massive profits in private hands. Image
13/14: 1994 - Premier Romanow brings down Saskatchewan's first balanced budget in 13 years after Conservative Premier Grant Devine's crippling "Decade of Darkness" during the 1980s. Image
14/14: 2006 - Premiers Calvert and Williams (NFLD) form coalition to fight federal government on the equalization formula. Sask takes the federal government to court in a constitutional challenge regarding equalization. The court case is cancelled when @BradWall306 takes office. Image
What do you think? Is it time to stop the lies about the history of the NDP in Saskatchewan? How can we stop the Sask Party tactic of poisoning the well?
On the evidence, it's clear which political party has a track record of building Saskatchewan... and which political party has *actually* destroyed Saskatchewan with scandal, privatization, massive debt, and evisceration of public services whenever they are in office. #skpoli

1/9 One thing #SKpoli hasn't talked much about is how the history of private Christian academies like Legacy Christian Academy (aka. Christian Centre Academy) are rooted in school de-segregation in the United States. Just Google "Segregation Academy." en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Segregati…
2/9 School de-segregation in the southern US spawned the private Christian school movement. Tuition was kept intentionally high to keep out people of colour & minorities. At LCA - the Sask Party subsidy equals $750K annually. #skpoli cbc.ca/news/canada/sa…
3/9 A lot of articles have been written in the US about how private Christian academies are funded by sympathetic right-wing governments through "vouchers" - essentially a government cheque handed to parents to provide a subsidy for private school. #skpoli mic.com/articles/18939…
