The future Defender dreamed of a military career since school. Therefore, at the age of 15, he became a cadet of the Lviv Lyceum with enhanced military training named after Heroes of Krut.

And Dronov did not retreat from this path - he was educated at the National Academy of the Ground Forces, improved his skills at the Chernyakhovsky National Defense University of Ukraine, managed to visit the ATO zone -

he fought near Popasna, in Avdeevka, Novotoshkovka, on the Svitlodarskaya Bulge. Everywhere the young military man demonstrated excellent military skills, responsibility and ingenuity.

On the eve of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, Bogdan took over as commander of the 17th separate motorized infantry battalion as part of the 57th motorized infantry brigade named after the otaman Kostya Gordienko.

And immediately won the authority and respect of his subordinates.

Since February 25, his unit has been fighting on one of the most difficult sectors of the front in the Luhansk region.

The young battalion commander, together with a small group, thanks to maneuvers at the cost of enormous efforts,

stopped the rashists, inflicted damage on the enemies and forced them to retreat.

Thanks to his analytical abilities, the Drone commander could guess the plans of the enemies and understood that they were trying to encircle their unit. Therefore, in a matter of hours, he was able to develop a counterattack plan and level the front line.

Throughout April 2022, the enemy tried to attack the unit of Bogdan Dronov, but invariably retreated with heavy losses. Alas, then our Defenders had to retreat, and the commander himself was wounded.

Thanks to the decisive and courageous actions of the battalion commander, up to 30 enemy manpower were destroyed, weapons and ammunition were seized.

On May 3, the young battalion commander Bogdan Dronov was awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine and the Order of the Golden Star.
