🧵My kids were exposed to their father Peters abuse of me for many years. His threats, his undermining his disrespect of me.

He pled guilty to an AVO in 2015, is a frmr Police officer & a private investigator, he hid tracking devices in my car, slashed my car tyres, threatened

to murder me & kidnapped our children twice. He would call Bill Shortens office when I was an MP. Eventually he teamed with the fired member of my staff (who said I was a slut, Sharon Stone & a bully).

& In 2017 after being seperated since 2009 he made 3 false allegations abt

Me to @nswpolice that I had abused our children. Every single time my then 9 & 10yo children were interviewed by Police.
HE was the only one with a version of events that there was abuse.

When he could not get his way with the Police he alleged the Police were dodgy & made

Complaints to internal affairs. He claimed to @NSWLabor that he had evidence of me hitting my child. No such event took place.

I was supported through the Staying Home Leaving Violence program for many years including when I was a Federal #Labor MP.

In 2020 the family court

granted custody of our children to the perpetrator. They expected to shame me into silence & not speak up.

Family Court has laws that gag victims/survivor’s. And we know from other systems when we veil them in silence bad things happen.

This week I took my 14&16yo away on a

holiday. They’ve physically assaulted me, threatened me & called me a cu^+ daily.

They’re doing exactly what the perpetrators want, & creating another generation of victims & perpetrators.

@AlboMP & @SenKatyG & #auspol reckon they can end FDV within a generation. If there

is no reform to FLC how is this possible?

Edit: Peter has most of the homoscidal indicators for an FDV perp.
The Lighthouse project, Uniting, Relationships Australia, Reg. Tran & the FLC consultant all agreed there was FDV & he was the perp.

registry of the Family Crt apparently knew more than experts who had years of experience with perpetrators & survivors of FDV 😳

The old troupe that I had a personality disorder (which I don’t), that I “over” medicalised my ASD son & he wasn’t even ASD was used. Along with my

abusive childhood to justify her decision & the allegations he made to Police which had no factual basis or evidence. Meanwhile the years of social work notes, Police reports, AVO & tracking devices meant nothing to Judge Hillary Hannam. Or ASD diagnostic reports @MarkDreyfusKCMP

is aware & has been aware for many years of this case along with my former colleagues.

I know I am not the only one.

Last year I conducted a survey which identified that 80% of cases in FLC involve FDV.

50% of respondents state the FDV Perpetrator was given Primary Care of

their children.

How on earth you going to stop FDV when Fam Crt grants perps time with their kids to do more harm, more damage, more dehumanising of their victim & undermine the survivors position in their life.

Since living with the perpetrator who claimed in court that our son did not have ASD, & actively used that to supprt his story - Peter has received Government support for a disability he claims does not exists, this includes a $48,000 #NDIS package.
