We are so proud to have had the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of ultra-poor families in Kunar, Afghanistan.
In partnership with @WAWHumanRights, we were able to distribute 330 food packages to these families.
This support will make a huge impact on the 2825 individuals in these families, 89 of which are led by women and 241 of which are led by men.
In addition to these families, we were also able to provide aid to 28 widows, 39 disabled individuals, and 2 patients.
One of the beneficiaries, Turab, has struggled with thalassemia for 22 years and, along with his sister, requires monthly blood transfusions.
Despite their father currently being without work, they cannot afford the necessary medicine or a proper diet.
Turab was extremely happy to receive this assistance and was hoping for its continuation.
All of the beneficiaries were extremely grateful for the assistance. They requested further support, and we are committed to doing everything we can to help.
We distributed emergency food packages to 80 families in the Gayan district of Paktika!
We also had a medical team with us, providing first aid support, medicines, and relief (mainly to injured kids). (1/4)
All these families either lost members or had injured ones. 70% of the families supported lost their houses and everything they owned, and 30% were displaced as their homes could fall at any minute. (2/4)
Items distributed:
Emergency food package 1 (visit aseelapp.com for details) by Aseel.
Emergency life packages were provided by @UNICEFAfg and our team only distributed the life packages (as there was no one else to distribute them) (3/4)
🚨📣15 more families are supported in Samangan with your donations through the campaign organized by @toimohammadbegzad.📣🚨

Samangan is a province located on the northern side of the country. It is one of the most underserved and remote regions in Afg, consisting of 59% of mountainous terrain. Thus, it makes it hard for families living there to have easy and immediate access to aid and food. (2/4)
However, our volunteer team is willing to visit the most remote places and help families with your donations.
⚠️This campaign is still active, and we have to urgently support more families on the waiting list as they are going through acute hunger. (3/4)
On March 8, a little girl named Asra was filmed cold and trembling in a slurry of muddy snow, crying on a street corner in Kabul, Afg
The heartbreaking clip soon went viral, grabbing the attention of Aseel donor Francesca, who couldn't bear seeing a child suffering to that extent
In response, we sent volunteers searching for Asra near the video location. Our volunteer team continually searched and posted about her on social media for over a month to no avail until finally, this week, we tracked her down with help from Maki Ahmadi (who posted the clip).
Asra lives in a tiny dwelling with her family in Kabul. They were displaced from Mazar after the political shift in the country. Asra's father is sick and unable to support the family, leaving Asra the sole breadwinner. Their living condition is beyond heart-wrenching.
The weather is 23 F (-5 C); it snows heavily in Kabul. Everywhere is covered with snow. As beautiful as Kabul appears today, thousands of untold stories reside in each corner of this city. (1/4)
It is a joyous day of playing in the snow for some kids. On the other side, there are kids with cold hands, old torn clothes, no shoes, no gloves, begging for a helping hand to be able to survive this cold, harsh winter. (2/4)
We at Aseel are working non-stop every day to bring back the liveliness of this city, make the gloomy and snowy days brighter, and support as many Afghans as possible to bring joy to each family. However, we can only do this with your help. 💙 (3/4)
🧵An update on the "Kabul's Emergency Winter Appeal" campaign organized by Shameela Nizami and @zareenaao and the "Winter Support for Families in need in Afghanistan" campaign organized by @yalda_mohsen.
With your generous donations, we provided life-saving food packages to 140 war-affected families in Kabul. Your donations helped these families get through winter. A special thanks to the hardworking organizers who tirelessly worked hard to raise funds and make this happen.
We cover 18 provinces and want to expand our support to the entire country. Start your campaign to support Afghans in different areas of Afghanistan and download our mobile application to donate and raise awareness.
