10 Obsidian @obsdmd plugins everyone should know.

These are the plugins that I find most useful for my Personal Knowledge Management process.

🧵(1/12)
1. Templater
Templater is a plugin that allows users to create and use customizable templates when creating new notes in Obsidian. This can be especially helpful for users who need to create notes with a consistent structure and format. (2/12)
2. Periodic Notes
Periodic Notes is a plugin that helps users create notes on a regular basis, such as daily, weekly, or monthly. This can be useful for creating things like a daily journal or a weekly review. (3/12)
3. Calendar
Adds calendar view to Obsidian. This can be helpful for users who want to organize and schedule their notes in more visual way. The calendar view allows you to see all of your periodic notes in one place. Templater + Periodic Notes + Calendar = Powerful combo! (4/12)
4. Obsidian Git
Adds support for version control using Git to Obsidian. With Obsidian Git, you can easily view the history of your notes, revert to previous versions, and collaborate with others on your notes. I use this plugin to sync my Obsidian Vault between devices. (5/12)
5. Dataview
Dataview changes the Obsidian game! I think it is the most powerful of all plugins. It allows users to create custom views of their notes using a variety of different filters and criteria. For examples and use cases, check out the documentation of the plugin. (6/12)
6. Tracker
Tracker helps you collect data from notes and represent it comprehensively. It enables displaying charts such as:
- Bar plots
- Pie charts
- Calendars
- Line plots
and more! (7/12)
7. Tressel Sync
Official @tresselapp plugin to save and export content from different apps into Obsidian. Tressel is an alternative to Readwise with a free version. Personally, I use it to save Twitter threads straight into my Obsidian Vault. It works perfectly! (8/12)
8. Status Bar Pomodoro Timer
Adds a Pomodoro timer to the status bar. This plugin makes it easy to track your Pomodoro sessions and stay focused. A neat feature of this plugin is that you can automatically log your sessions at the end of your daily note. (9/12)
9. Kanban
This plugin makes it possible to create Kanban boards in Obsidian. Thanks to this plugin, you could manage your entire to-do list within Obsidian instead of using other tools such as Trello or Jira.
10. Tasks
And the last, but not the least... The Obsidian Tasks. This plugin helps you track tasks across your Obsidian vault. It supports due dates, recurring tasks, querying, filtering, etc. Tasks + Kanban create another killer combo on our list!
