Withdrawal of Turkish forces is even more extensive than expected: According to the guerrilla forces in #Zap, intense fighting, especially on the region's eastern front, continues with unabated intensity. The resistance is unbroken!
🧵 with all the latest information ⬇️⬇️⬇️
Except of Gire FM & Gire Hakkari, 🇹🇷forces withdrew from entire western front. The fact that they could't take/hold Gire Cudi, Şehîd Pirdogan & Gire Amediye is a major step backwards, as these areas are crucial for capture of Gire Bahar & the occupation's connection to Kurojahro
Eastern front: retreat of the enemy from Kurojahro and surroundings, Sace, Ş. Sipan, & Ş. Kûnci, which means that there is almost no enemy presence left along the #Zap River (except Tepe Rûbar & Tepe Şoreş), & other areas further east such as Şikefta Brindara, Çiyayȩ reş, Karker
To connect the disputed areas, Turkish military is trying to capture Cemco & Sida, but the resistance continues (for 5 months now a lot of energy is concentrated on this area, all available weapons are used) according to HPG's Murat Karayilan
The resistance in the tunnels of Ş. Botan, Ş. Felat & Kela Çemço is according to #HPG "like a dagger in the heart of the enemy, in order not to make himself completely ridiculous, he tries to gain a foothold there" but fails again because of the guerrillas resistance spirit.
Further it says underlined the immense implications of the resistance in #Zap, #Avaşîn & #Metîna not only for Kurds but all people of the region as Turkey's goal is to occupy & colonize areas that go way beyond historically Kurdish territories.
In perspective the guerrillas don't expect any successes for Turkish armed forces, as the winter, very mild so far, is likely to become even harsher in the coming weeks. More clouds, rain & snowfall will further benefit mobile guerrilla units operating in the region.
Finally, the statement points to the danger to #Rojava as Turkey aims to change the agenda and prevent discussions about the loss of Turkish forces in #Zap. A large-scale ground offensive in Rojava would certainly fulfill this.
We want to draw your attention to the case of Znar Bozkurt, who is facing deportation from Sweden to Turkey. His crimes: Being Kurdish, homosexual & pro democracy. #StopDeportingZinarBozkurt

The 26-year-old fled Turkey because he feared political persecution: when he applied for asylum in Sweden, he claimed to be persecuted in Turkey because of his identity as a Kurd, his homosexuality and his commitment to the #HDP.

Znar came to Sweden as a worker and was only 18 years old at the time. During his time in Sweden, Znar has worked, studied and has his partner there.

How the 🇹🇷 occupation policy looks like in different parts of #Rojava and why we have to strengthen the #resistance against turkish fascism
A Thread ⬇️
For years, the Turkish state intervened in #Syria primarily through the Islamic State and other jihadist groups.
After it became clear that the Syrian Democratic Forces SDF would win the war against Daesh the Turkish state realized that it would have to intervene directly.
The first target was the region between Afrin and #Manbij: In August 2016, Turkey began to occupy the region together with Islamist mercenaries.
Officially, it turned against IS, but mainly the SDF was attacked. The main goal of the 🇹🇷 regime was to isolate Afrin.
