The word "liberal" means
'accepting different opinions or kinds of behaviour; tolerant'.
A true Sanathani will, by definition be 'liberal'.
You are, therefore, wrongly using the word to mean the exact opposite.
The word you really want is "illiberal".

My fundamental opposition to Islam is that it excludes...and IS in its very essence, illiberal, intolerant & violent.
If I were NOT TO condemn a person for similar thinking & action simply because he is supposedly 'sanathani' I would be guilty of MASSIVE HYPOCRISY.

No one by virtue of simply being born into a tradition or religion acquires some permanent immunity for her/his words or action.

That self-criticism arises from the intellectual honesty necessary to practice Dharma.
It should not be confused with ignorant, insecure,timid self-flagellation.
