Lets understand the basic principles of chest x-ray interpretation (1/10)
Use the inside-out approach. Start from inside most structures and then go outward (2/10)
Look at trachea, mediastinum, cardiac size & borders. Don't forget looking at the hilum (3/10)
Don't forget to look at diaphragm, CP recess and especially below the diaphragm (4/10)
Compare both the lung fields zone by zone for any pathology or symmetry, remember God gave us two lungs so that the radiologists can compare (5/10)
Before commenting on pulmonary pathology assess for Rotation, Inspiration & Exposure (6/10)
Check for fractures & bony pathology (7/10)
Don't forget to assess the soft tissues (8/10)
Never miss looking at patient info and referral form details (9/10)
Finally looking at the previous films and comparison should never be missed (10/10)
