Bay Area bureaucrats and politicians are talking about banning even #naturalgas water heaters and furnaces... Electric heating costs are higher. San Francisco will pay 2.5x more for electric heating than gas. homeguides.sfgate.com/comparing-cost…

3/ and San Diego to make a retroactive mandate costing consumers tens of thousands of dollars whether they want #NaturalGas or not, all the while putting additional strain on the electricity grid. lnkd.in/g5z2yQZi
4/ To solve that, you can build more power stations with more #natgas and more power lines. All the gas will go toward electricity generation. Build more transmission lines and substations for substantially larger usage in residential areas.
And you pay: ipi.org/docLib/QS-RM-H…
5/ Will #renewables hand all this? Well, even biased media sources will admit that they aren't ready.
6/ That doesn't count rising costs from all the above added infrastructure. You CAN get some savings in some areas with heat pumps--depending a lot on the area. But ironically, they are best suited toward warmer climates who need less heating anyway: lnkd.in/gQjgTgGe
7/ Where is the consumer/citizen voice and choice in this matter?
So, are we erring on the side of Central Planning? If we are, I found a good article explaining the flaws of such: lnkd.in/gyc5-zWC
8/ Meanwhile, in the #naturalgas and #energymarkets, seeing where they will go and running scenarios based on your market intelligence through @RBACInc's market simulators can help you make the right choices in energy, whatever your industry: rbac.com/energy-sectors/
