I'm baaaaaaaaack... 4 days off and boy oh boy.. *NEW* AHS ICU Numbers Updated! Currently 177 (-6) admitted into AHS ICU Beds. With 223 (+2 Overflow) "OPEN" Beds - 48 Remaining Open - Capacity: **79%**. Lets get this 'Really bad news thread' going! /1

*NEW* After multiple nightly closures, Elk Point ER Department is now closed nightly from 7pm to 7am daily. Lack of registered nurses is being posted as the reason. Closest ER's are St. Paul (37KM), Bonnyville (53KM) or Two Hills (77KM) /2

Beaverlodge Hospital saw its ER Closed on Friday night at 5pm, until 8am Saturday morning due to no nurses available. EMS Units & Patients were re-directed to Grande Prairie (42KM) for medical attention. /3

Some Good news! After a 8 month closure Lac La Biche, once again has OB Services available for residents! The OB Unit originally closed back in May of 2022 due to no staffing available. /4

Not so good news Whitecourt, Sundre, Rimbey, Westlock and Three Hills continue to see full closures of their OB Services. Many are not expecting updates until Mid Feb or early March of 2023. /5

Slave Lake's OB Unit went onto re-direct, as of January 18th due to no available physicians available. Re-direct was to end today, but there's no updates available online. /6

Reminder! Oyen's Big Country Hospital's AC unit has shut down and the ER is closed Nightly from 7pm to 7am. You'll have to visit Kindersley SK (100KM), Hanna (113KM), Leader SK (117KM), Coronation (135KM), Provost (140KM) for medical assistance! /7

Reminder! Swan Hills Acute Care remains closed and the DI Unit has closed it's X-ray department! Need a X-ray and you'll need to drive to Whitecourt (82KM) or Barrhead (100KM). Lab Services is limited to Blood work collection only from 9am to 3pm Mon-Fri. /8

EPSB Reported on Thursday an absence rate of 2.9% or 3,289 students out of class sick. On Friday EPSB reported 2.8% or 3,073 students out of class sick. CBE Reported 2.8% or 3,542 students out on Thursday and 3% or 3,806 students sick on Friday. All numbers are 1 day behind. /9

Reminder! Barrhead will again see No surgery or c-section Services available as of 7am Jan 23rd until 7am Jan 25th and again another suspension of services from 7am Jan 26th to 7am Jan 31st. This suspension is due to no physicians available in the region. /10
