#SupremeCourt to hear a plea by journalist Rana Ayyub against an order of a Ghaziabad court which has summoned her on January 27 in relation to a Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) case @RanaAyyub #PMLA

Adv Vrinda Grover: placing an urgent mentioning of my item..she has been summoned by a Ghaziabad court. I am seeking a stay on the coercive proceedings. @RanaAyyub

Grover: Today is the only day I can appear before this court and seek some protection milord

Justice Krishna Murari: Why not on Friday or Monday?

Grover: : appearance is bbefore the special court.

SC: How does Article 32 plea lie here?

Grover: challenging jurisdiction assumed by Ghaziabad court which is against PMLA judgment. I cannot be subject to UP jurisdiction

SC: The jurisdictional HC can look into this. Is the HC powerless to do it?

Grover: give me half a minute. it is part of the record that it is not a jurisdictional court. the court here is Mumbai. My liberty is at stake

Grover: though no chargesheet or arrest against me.. HIndu IT Cell tweet says send her to 7 days ghaziabad court custody aur hum dekh lenge. investigation is by delhi zonal office... then complain bombay.. how is UP coming into the picture?

Grover: I am just being dragged to UP and then to all over the country. Give me atleast 4 weeks protection and Allahabad HC will take that much time to hear it

SC: We will hear the case on Monday. But we will request the Ghaziabad court to postpone the hearing for day after the SC hearing

SC: We will hear the case on January 31. In the meantime Ghaziabad Special Court Anti corruption 1 is requested to adjourn the hearing fixed for Jan 27 to a date after Jan 31. this order is being passed because hearing cannot be concluded due to paucity of time and not on merits
