Free and fair elections are an essential foundation of our constitutional republic. Unfortunately, after the disputed 2020 election, confidence in the integrity of elections has reached an all-time low. /2
According to The Rasmussen Report dated August 8,2022, 62% of all voters were concerned about the possibility of cheating in the November 2022 elections including 49% of Democrats, 54% of Independents, 82% of Republicans & 60% of Black voters. /3
Although Nebraska may have better elections than some other states, we still have problems that must be resolved to restore public trust in the integrity of the voting process, and the legitimacy of our elected representatives. /4
