Taehyung saw how Jeongguk was frustrated taking care of their one-month old twins and it started to worry him.

Since they are just babies, they are very delicate and need to be treated as fragile. Jeongguk was definitely trying and his omega really appreciates that. He actually doesn’t know how he will be able to handle two babies if his alpha is not with him.

Yujin can help but he’s still young.

“Tae, I’ll watch over the twins tonight so you can rest.” It was Friday night and Jeongguk just got back from work as well.
“Are you sure, Gukkie? Maybe you should rest tonight instead.” He offers.

“No, it’s fine. I want to spend time with them as well.”

Though he’s been noticing that Jeongguk has been getting frustrated whenever he watches over the kids at night, he, then, agreed since his husband insisted. He’s actually feeling tired and badly needs some sleep.

He knows he can only recover once the twins already have their proper sleeping and feeding routine but those will just happen months later.

“I’ll head to bed now. Goodnight, Younha and Yura.” He gently kissed the twins before going to their bedroom. Yujin fell asleep earlier than usual since they had some school activities that consumed his energy.

The set-up of the cribs is currently at the living room since they have to set-up two. One for each girl so they’ll be comfortable when sleeping or moving. Jeongguk thought it was a peaceful night for the twins since they were sleeping when he arrived.

The omega mentioned to him that they were fed and full already so they should be able to sleep properly.

However, Younha woke up in the middle of the night so Jeongguk was quick to carry him and slowly swayed his body to help the baby fall asleep again.

Of course, everything was still new to Jeongguk though the twins are already one-month old.

He literally has no experience taking care of babies so everything is a learning curve for him. He’s lucky that he has Taehyung to guide him on how to feed them, give them a bath, change their diapers and everything but of course, it wasn’t easy.

He feels like he’s going to drop or crush his daughters whenever he holds them because they are still small. The omega assured him that he’ll get used to it soon and that he has nothing to worry about.

Unfortunately, Younha can’t sleep well so she started crying and this is actually where Jeongguk is not good at. He doesn’t know how to make them stop and he panics every time both of the babies cry at the same time.

It feels like his daughters are telling him that he is not doing great in taking care of them. Of course, it’s all in his mind but he can’t help to think that way.

“Younha baby. Daddy is here.” He whispers as he rocks the baby in his arms.

He tried checking her temperature just in case she is not feeling well but it seems fine.
“Daddy’s going to help you fall asleep, hmm. I’m just here.” He adds but she cried even louder which resulted in the other twin waking up as well.

Jeongguk hopes that Yura will fall asleep again but the heaven is not in favour of him that night. She started crying as well so he had no choice but to carry them at the same time.

He has no problem carrying the little babies in his arms since he’s strong but what he can’t do is to calm them.

“My lovely girls, I’m sorry for waking you up. I promise to put you to sleep as fast as I can.”

The alpha kissed the foreheads of his crying daughters and continued rocking them. He tried to release comforting pheromones since it’s what he does whenever Taehyung or Yujin cries but he failed to do so since he started to panic.

The girls have been crying for 10 minutes already.

A minute later, Taehyung magically appeared on his side and Jeongguk gave him a very frustrating look. The omega checked the time then caressed his alpha’s cheek before proceeding to make them the baby formula.

“They must be hungry.” Taehyung said with a smile as he feeds Younha while Jeongguk feeds Yura.

The babies calm down after finishing their bottles and eventually fall asleep. With that, they lay them down on their own cribs to properly rest.

“I told you that I should watch over them tonight instead.” Taehyung said with a smile since he meant no harm but he has no idea that Jeongguk will take it the wrong way.
“No need to rub in my face that I can’t handle my own pups.”

Jeongguk responded before standing up and headed to their bedroom. The frustration in his voice is very evident so Taehyung was quick to follow his husband.

“Gukkie. You know that’s not what I mean.” Taehyung worriedly said, Jeongguk was just facing his back to him.

“I just want to also spend time with them. That's why I volunteer and I know you’re tired too because you’re taking care of them the whole day.”

The alpha rubbed his face out of frustration.

Taehyung sat beside him on the bed and took his hand. He’d been through this stage when he had Yujin. He felt like everything he does is wrong. He felt like he won’t be able to be a good father to him because he doesn’t know how to take care of a baby.

“I’m trying, Tae. I really want to but I feel like I’m not doing well. Whenever they cry and I won’t be able to stop them, it feels like I am not doing a good job as their father.”

Jeongguk started crying as he confessed what he’s been really feeling throughout this one month.

“I feel useless. You do everything and I can’t even help you with the babies. You even did this alone with Yujin.”

Taehyung pulled his crying husband for a hug then started rubbing his back.

“I can see you’re trying, Gukkie and I really appreciate it. I can feel how much love and effort you’ve been giving the twins without compromising your relationship with Yujin too. Of course, you are new to this so it’s normal to feel that way.” Taehyung said.

“But please don’t ever think that you are useless, okay? The fact that you’re feeling that way only tells that you want to do better, you want to be the best father for the twins and if things go right then it’s fine. Let’s just continue practicing until we’re able to do it.”

“I just want to be a good father.” Jeongguk whispers.
“And that’s what you are doing, Gukkie. Sometimes, they also feel more comfortable with their omega parents during this stage so please don’t feel bad if they only calm down when they are with me, okay?”

Jeongguk nods and apologises to Taehyung. The omega told him that there is no need to say sorry and that both of us are still learning.

“I’m not a perfect father as well but–”
“Yes, you are.”
“Jeongguk!”
“But you really are perfect, Tae.”

“What I’m saying is I’m not a perfect father too and I’m also learning along the way so let’s do this hand in hand, okay? Again, it’s okay to feel that way but please tell me so we can face it together, Gukkie.”

Taehyung wipes the tears from his alpha’s eyes then starts pinching his cheeks to make him smile.

“You look ugly when you cry so stop, okay?” Taehyung said.
“Thank you for the compliment.” Jeongguk responded, which made the omega giggle.

It’s going to be a long way to go for Jeongguk but he promised Taehyung and the kids that he’ll do everything and continue learning on how he’ll take care of his bigger family properly.
