FBI records show the FBI's top leaders were sent concerning info pointing to the potential for violence DAYS before Jan. 6 - such as the fact that "domestic terrorism suspects" were coming to D.C. for the Stop the Steal rally

FBI Director Wray's special exec. assistant & the FBI's #2 were emailed on Jan 3 that the Proud Boys "are coming for violence. They will cause mass unrest, destruction, and potentially kill many people in the streets of DC on January 6th.'"

The head of the FBI's DC field office wrote that FBI leaders were freaking out before Jan 6: “What I could gather from the [FBI] deputy [director] is that the focus is no one knows what is going to happen and that scares them"

The then-FBI DC office head wrote there's "no centralized role" for the FBI on Jan 6 + the then-FBI dep. director told J6 committee staff "There was never, to my recollection... a discussion of us being the lead agency here" - BOTH DISPUTED

A Senate report cited the DoD saying that DOJ (incl. the FBI) was "the lead federal agency in charge of security preparations and response on January 6, but DOJ did not conduct interagency rehearsals or establish an integrated security plan"

FBI Director Wray and another official, Jill Sanborn, have been less than forthcoming during congressional hearings. They haven't been fully candid in public congressional testimony about the info sent to the FBI's leadership days before the attack.

The FBI's Wray & Sanborn have focused on why widespread social media posts calling for violence on J6 weren't enough for the Bureau to take action - conveniently they omit that far fewer online posts have been enough in other cases.

They admitted in congressional testimony, after being pressed, that the FBI dissuaded some "predicated" suspects from coming on J6. They left out key words: "predicated *domestic terrorism* suspects." ("Predicated" means there was a pre-existing FBI investigation)
