I will be checking claims based on epistemology, language, literature, archaeobotanical studies, scientific journals, historical journals, dispersion patterns and finally genomic evidence if available.
Epistemology is traditional knowledge. It is checked using traditional and indigenous knowledge as passed down. This is verified with language roots both from European and from Indic languages.
Archaeobotany is a new field where archeologist are able to recover plant samples from archeological sites to provide glimpses into food culture.
