Some key lighting examples

💡Studio Lighting

👀 Controlled lighting set up using multiple artificial lights to achieve the desired effect. Commonly used in #portrait #fashion, product, and commercial #photography street style photo of a woman, studio lighting, shot on Koda
💡Natural Lighting

👀 Light from the sun or other sources present in the environment, often making use of windows, open spaces, or reflective surfaces to control the light. street style photo of a woman, natural lighting, shot on Kod
💡Off-Camera Flash

👀 A portable flash unit that is not attached to the camera, allowing for greater creative control over the lighting of a scene

One of my favorites street style photo of a woman, Off-Camera Flash, shot on Kod
💡Spot Lighting

👀 A type of lighting that uses a focused beam of light to illuminate a specific area or subject street style photo of a woman, spot lighting, shot on Kodak
How about combination lighting?

💡Backlight with Hair Light

👀 A combination of backlight and hair light to add dimension and separation to a subject's hair. Often used in #portrait and #beautyphotography street style photo of a woman, Backlight with Hair Light, sh
💡Silhouette Lighting with Side Light

👀 A type of lighting where the key light is positioned behind the subject, casting their outline into sharp relief against the background street style photo of a woman, Silhouette Lighting with Side
💡Split Lighting with Rim Light

👀 A combination of split lighting and rim light to create a dramatic, high-contrast look street style photo of a woman, Split Lighting with Rim Light
And finish off with some examples using the same lighting (Off-Camera Flash), this time with 2 different film styles.

Some shot examples

📷Medium Shot

👀 A shot where the subject is framed from the waist up. Used to show subject's body language.

💥To achieve a proper Medium shot you'll want to specify some body language, like [walking], or [sitting]. If not, you'll tend to get a med close-up. street style photo of a wom...street style photo of a wom...street style photo of a wom...street style photo of a wom...

I find I have much more success and control over my images when taking an additive approach to prompting in #midjourney.

Starting simple as possible, and building from there. Visual examples in this thread.

Let me explain... 🧵
Start basic and set the scene in the most simple terms possible. “street style photo of a woman” for example.

Not very good results right? But that's ok, we're just warming up here. street style photo of a wom...
One by one, add in the details. Btw it helps to use the same seed # when taking this approach.

Here I added different film styles until I found 1 I liked. See how big of a jump in quality adding just 1 thing to a simple prompt can have?

Then, on to the next element... street style photo of a wom...

A short list of S-tier UI kits / libraries that all use auto-layout and are INCREDIBLY over powered now that @webflow labs has released the Figma → Webflow plugin.

Retweet this thread if you've ever used or benefited from these kits yourself
🔥 Untitled UI by @jordanphughes

very cleanly styled and extensive (10k+ components and variants). I like it for saas and dashboards in particular.

Its $119 which is truly a steal for what you're getting. untitledui.com
💥 Relume Library by @relume_io.

A free, unstyled library created and maintained by a team that understands Webflow inside and out. Great option for those who want to customize their designs.

Did I mention it's free? figma.com/community/file…
